Her visit to the pirates was rather interesting, but now was time for a new adventure. She had heard stories about the Stormborn. When she listened to the tales they always seemed so serious, but she was sure it wasn't true. Any adventurer had to have a lighter side, Dortoka was sure of it. Her new goal was to meet one of these Stormborn. They were adventures and warriors. She enjoyed the combination, though she wasn't much of a warrior. If someone started a fight with her, she would fight them, but that was the only time she fought.

She glanced around the rocky sea coast. Her travel to meet the Stormborn had started in the morning. Now it was a little past midday. She had no idea where she was. She just hoped she was near Myrsky Syntynyt. She knew that if she was in her goddess form she could just fly up and figure out where it was, but what was the fun of that? A true adventurer would take the rough path not the simplest one.

She watched for a moment the waves crash against the rocks. In a while it would be dark and she would have to find some place to keep herself safe. If she didn't find the Stormborn she would just have to try again tomorrow. The adventure to find them would be half the fun of course, so it didn't worry Dortoka.

As she continued to walk, she felt a little droplet of rain hit her. There were a couple storm clouds above her. Of course it would have to rain while she was out on an adventure. She would have to find cover sooner rather than waiting till nightfall. Her speed quickened as she searched for a small cave or another suitable cover.

The weather pressed cold and clammy through his fur as one of the frequent ocean storms lashed out in fury across the shoreline that was the pride's home. It was still a short way out to sea, but already the stinging chill of salty rain could be felt through his thick fur. Shaking his head as a stinging droplet landed on his nose he squinted against the powerful blast of storm-scented wind and frowned down at the green and brown shape below him. The stranger had arrived on the shoreline not that long ago, when Lucivar happened to be making his rounds up along the cliff top. No longer the greenhorn young reavr of the past, Lucivar had come to carry the weight of his title with ease. A mature and strong captain, the male had been on numerous reavings, seen comrades fall, seen others rise to claim their own Captaincy.

Silent as a ghost, the captain watched the visitor from atop the pride's imposing cliffs, a natural defense that kept the pride safe from the wild fury of the ocean, and that had been instrumental in Lucivar's training while growing up. Now, the mature lion bounded down he almost sheer cliff with ease, heavy muscles bunching and straining as he leaped from tiny toe-hold to tiny toe-hold, traversing the rocky face as if using a path visible to his eyes only. In short order he landed on the hard wet sand with a muffled thump and shook his mane from his eyes as he looked about for the one he had spotted.

Dortoka continued walking, oblivious to her surroundings. As the rain came, she felt felt lucky that she hadn't flown and that she had stuck with her mortal form. If she had flown, the rain would be even harder to fly though and in her goddess form she could have been a larger target for the lighting, she thought, assuming it would start thundering and lightning soon. As she made her way she thought for a moment she saw someone, however the rain blurred her vision. She decided it was just her eyes playing tricks on her. How even her sight could play games with her.

She debated about going on the adventure another time. It became obvious that this wasn't the best day to meet the stormborn. She was sure in this weather they would be safe in their den's. A sigh left her. She liked going on adventures that had a good ending. This one seemed a little, pointless. She thought about turning around and heading back where she came from, but that wouldn't do. Having the rain pour down on her wasn't something she wanted while walking. Her other option she could think of was to find a small cave and sleep there for the night.

It wasn't the best plan she thought, but it would do for now. And maybe when the storm cleared up she could meet a stormborn. It would give this adventure meaning, and she would finally meet one of those amazing adventures that she admired so much. She continued her trek forward, keeeping an eye for a place she could rest.

Ahha.. there she was.

Spotting the female, for the stranger was indeed a lioness, Lucivar turned and walked towards her, his long, muscular body moving easily despite the shifting sand under his paws. Pausing still some paces in front of her, he tipped his head slightly, expression warm enough but certainly watchful. he was no spring chicken to be taken advantage of, as the scars that covered his body, only partly hidden by his tan fur declared. Several deeper, obviously more painful scars ranged across his side and along one cheek, and several of the more shallow ones were obvious fresh, the fur not yet having grown over the damaged flesh.

"Be careful stranger, the sand is slick when the rains fall, and the rocks are treacherous." Blue eyes regarded the female calmly, knowledge and experience born of a life lived hard rather than long, filled the male's gaze.

Dortoka was able to make out the male who was talking to her. She stopped as he talked to her. He looked the part of a warrior, she decided. It was obvious that he had been on some sort of adventures and battles that led to his scaring. She gave him a friendly grin. “Thank you for the advice. This is my first time in this area that I remember. I think I might be a bit lost actually.”

She couldn't help but wonder where the stranger came from. After thinking about it, she decided he must be the one she saw in the distance earlier. “I was looking for a member of the stormborn, but I think that I will try again another time, when it isn't so stormy.” She looked up at the clouds, letting the rain run down her face. The cold droplets reminded her of a sadder time, a time she wasn't sure she wanted to remember, at least not right now. For a moment her smile disapeared and a frown replaced it.

Her attention went back to the lion. “Would you happen to know where a spot I can rest is? I'm not fond much of water and I think I would do much better in a shelter then out here in the rain.” She stated, now smiling again. “I guess I should have planned my trip a little better.”

The tall male actually chuckled as she spoke, his head tipping back to let the rain hit his face, eyes closing. After a moment he looked back down, the grin still curling pleasantly across his maw. "Well.. we are not called the Stormborn for nothing. It rains a lot in these parts." He returned, before glancing back over his shoulder, seeming to be thinking for a moment. "There is a cave here that I used to use often, it is warm and dry even in the worst storm." It was also the one his Second had used to shelter a stray female he had claimed while he healed and tamed her... Lucivar had been the only one to know of the stow-a-way and had brought food to the pair while she had recuperated.

"Come, I will show you, but be careful of the rocks." He pointed with one paw to the rocks that were strewn across the beach as if a god had taken and tossed them in a fit of anger, their sharp edges had long ago been rounded by the pounding of the ocean waters, but they were far from stable in the shifting sands and one slip could easily break a lion's ankle. Turning the Captain slowly led the way up the sodden beach to the cliff base, then turned along it and stepped up onto a sort of path worn into the cliff base. Turing suddenly into the very rock itself he revealed a nearly invisible entrance into the cave he had mentioned. The roof soared up from the rather small entry to vanish into thick shadow above them. The cave floor was remarkably smooth and slanted upwards, ensuring that any water that got in would run down and away to the beach beyond. The narrow entrance kept the cutting wind from blasting into the cave, giving the cave a sheltered, warm feeling.

"Very few come here, there is no need for us to use it often, so you should be safe here tonight." he turned to the female as he spoke, his expression friendly and calm, reassuring almost.

The moment she saw him smile, she was sure that luck was looking down on her. Even more so when he mentioned the stormborn. “I thought you were a warrior when I saw you, I guess I was right.” She said with a laugh. Her search wasn't in vane. “Since I heard of the Stormborn I've wanted to meet one. There are so many stories about them, you.” She hoped that if she befriended him he would be able to tell her stories of his adventures. Then once she heard the tales she could return to her friends and tell them all about it.

“It is an honor to meet you. My friends will be jealous once they find out.” She said, trailing behind him. Her eyes then went down to the rocks when he mentioned them. She ought to be more careful, she thought. Mortals are more cautious then she was. She could get hurt obviously, but she never really noticed it too much. If she got hurt, she got hurt, it was her own careless fault. However she could handle a bit of pain, but while she was in disguise as a mortal she wanted to be more like them. They were a lot more breakable and fragile then she was. Her eyes went to the male she was following. He didn't seem as fragile though, he was one of the more stronger looking mortals she met.

She was amazed by the rocks as she walked. They were so odd and different. She would be sure to come back here on a brighter day. Then she saw the cave. Her eyes lite up. Finally somewhere out of the rain. “Thank you so much.” She said with a huge grin as she walked around the cave. “This will be a perfect resting spot. She was grateful to run across someone who was so kind and helpful.

Shaking the water form his coat as they moved into the cave, he laughed warmly, the sound surprisingly pleasant coming from a male as scared up as he was. "Well.. it would be hard for you to avoid us, since this is our land. Though you might not see us, we certainly see everyone who comes along this way." He gave a faint shrug of one muscular shoulder. "Tis the only way a warrior pride can survive.. we wouldn't be very good fighters if we didn't watch our boarders, even if the sea is our only neighbour on this side of the lands."

Moving further into the cave he padded towards the rear, where a small pool trickled quietly, its source a tiny underground stream that pooled briefly before sinking under the rocks at their paws. Drinking his fill he then turned and moved back, motioning to the pile of slightly dusty furs. "Hasn't been used in a while, but its dry and out of the weather." As she moved around he watched her, seeming to be pondering over her presence at the edge of the prideland.

She didn't mean to go on their land, just near it. “I hope it is okay that I'm here. I didn't mean to trespass, I just meant to meet one of you near the border. If I need to, I can leave once the storm is over with. I understand the need for pridal space.” Dortoka gave a nod of her head, droplets of water cam down as she did so. There had been prides that had gone to war with each other over trespassers. She didn't want to cause any problems. “The idea that you can hide and see in this weather is amazing. The Stormborn are true warriors.”

She watched him go further into the cave. Interested in where it led, she followed. “This cave is a good hiding spot. It's in a wonderful spot, especially when one needs shelter. Even if it hasn't been used for a while, I think it is amazing.” Any spot would have been good for her, but she usually liked caves, especially when they kept her out of the rain.

She found a comfortable spot and laid down. Her paws were aching and she felt she deserved a break. Then she realized something. “Forgive me, I've been so rude while you were so polite and kind. My name is Dortoka. It is very nice to meet you.” She said with another grin.

Lucivar laughed softly and shook his head. "Not at all. Actually we get alot of visitors on the beach, our land is actually up there." He nodded to the cave ceiling, clearly indicating the cliff that rose directly above their heads and the inevitable flat land at the top, presumably this was where he was indicating the pride lived, at the height of the sheer cliffs that formed such a formidable defense against the ocean's fury.

"You are fine here, so do not worry." Tilting his head at her compliment he smiled, pale eyes amused and filled with that worn experience of all life-long warriors. "If one lives in such a land long enough, one becomes used to the landscape and the weather. I was born on this land, it is apart of me." he shrugged faintly, clearly not about to tale responsibility for his own talents, despite the fact that just living in so inhospitable a place would not account for the true extent of his skills as both a warrior and a leader. Lucivar was simply just not one to boast.

"It is a great pleasure to meet you, Dortoka, I am Lucivar, Captain of the Myrsky Syntynyt."

Not only had she met a member of the Stormborn, she had met a Captain none the less. This gave her reason to be even more excited. "Would it be okay if I stayed here for a little bit? I just want to really get to see the land and meet more stormborn. I wouldn't get in the way or anything. But I also don't want to overstay my welcome." Dortoka said. She wanted to stay just a bit longer so she could meet more stormborn and maybe become better friends with Lucivar. To spend time with a true warrior, nothing could make Dortoka more excited.

"I was wondering, being a warrior, you are bound to have grand tales of your adventures. I was hoping that you would be willing to share one with me. Not necessarily today, but sometime. I have many friends who I like to share stories with and I think hearing the captain of Myrsky Syntynyt would be a story they wouldn't forget."

Plus it would help keep her mind off other things, pains she felt but didn't know what caused them. Tales always helped her forget the pain, even if it was just for a moment.

(sorry it was so short. Would you like to wrap it up soon and maybe we could do another rp between them where she ask him to help her become a mother?)
