Sparkly Werewolf

He felt boneless. The sun had been boring down on him much of the morning, through the trees of the packlands and cooking the earth so the air was like a boiling frenzy. His muscles were lose and irksomely slow, but he had been searching out his mother for most of the day. She was scouting along the border, somewhere, but apparently she was simply not to be found today. He was tired of searching, and the haunch of meat in his mouth was starting to make his jaw sore.

Dropping the meat onto the ground beneath an outreaching tree, he flopped unceremoniously beside it with his legs spread to either side in the perfect picture of relaxation.

Pan'eira trotted along happily, her coat glisteningly smooth after she had spent the entirety of her morning cleaning it, and making sure it was spotless. She wasn't vain though! She just appreciated looking absolutely beautiful, which she obviously did. There was nothing wrong with taking pride in one's appearance.

She slowed her pace slightly, realising that she would start panting soon if she kept up her pace, and that just wasn't pretty. She flicked her tail as she walked, head tilted proudly and eyes scanning the landscape, looking for something to keep her entertained.

Her eyes soon noticed a figure sprawled out underneath a tree, and her eyes promptly lit up when she realised it was someone of the male persuasion. Perfect company! She changed her path, but not so she was walking directly towards him. She was going to walk passed him, but close enough that he would be able to either scent or see her. She didn't want to seem desperate, after all...

Sweetlife could imagine nothing wrong at all with wanting to look ones best, especially when he was about to appreciate the effort on another's behalf (particularly if they were a pretty little thing like the female waltzing by just then). He did his due diligence himself, of course, though also put for a concerted effort to look as if he had not done such a silly, feminine thing. He was manly, and thus scruffy – purposefully or otherwise.

His sense made him aware of the female's presences before his mind caught on to exactly what perked his interest. Lifting his head, his ears flicked one way to another before he caught sight of her walking a short distance off. The flick of her tail and tilt of her head made his lips spread and curl in a satisfied grin: it was not his mother, but this stranger was pretty to entertain him for the time being. He hauled his bulk off the ground, shaking out his coat before walking in a half circle in order to intercept her, "Excuse me," He halted within speaking distance to wait for her notice.

Eira giggled inwardly as she watched the male discretely from the corner of her eye. Yes! He had noticed her and looky, looky, he was coming right her way - just what she wanted. She did love getting what she wanted, and what she wanted right now was the company of someone handsome and this male certainly fit the bill.

She pretended to be mildly surprised - not too surprised, she didn't want to be comical after all - as he called out to her and she paused. She glanced over towards him, her eyes widening, batting her eyelashes in an attempt to be dainty.

"Oh hello," she said, her voice soft. She offered him a smile. "I almost didn't notice you there." Lying didn't hurt anyone, did it? She tilted her head, flicking her tail behind her still.

"Guess I'll just have to try harder to be more noticeable next time." He returned the smile readily, dropping his lids over his glittering eyes as he considered her form at this more intimate distance. Conversation was more easily conducted in close quarters, and he used his 'search' for his mother as an excuse to walk a slow circle around this female. His gaze darted around them to play the part, but mostly gave her a good once over as he moved.

"You haven't happened to see a blue female wild dog wandering around, have you?" He spoke as he walked, but stopped at her side to shoot her a roguish – and slightly sheepish – smile, "I've been looking for my mom." His tail flicked towards her gently, perhaps a little forward but unworried. She seemed friendly enough not to mind a bit of attention.

Eira preened discretely as he walked around her, making sure to angle her body appropriately to keep him looking at her from appealing angles. She was a bit disappointed he walked around her, the left side was really her better side but she supposed he had to see her from the right side eventually. She was still pretty all over, she preened inwardly, but still, the left was better.

"No," she responded, voice appropriately remorseful. "I'm sorry that you've lost her, but I'm afraid you're one of the few wild dogs that I've seen around this area." She glanced towards him, her eyes a tad sorrowful. "It's rather...dull...without other wild dogs around."

Perhaps he would offer to stay with her? She thought giddily, but that was perhaps a touch too eager a thought. She wouldn't mind a few minutes of conversation with the handsome male at very least.
