	"Raawrrrrr!" Adrastos had managed to escape bath time from his mother (thank goodness for having so many similar-looking siblings!), and now he was off having a grand adventure! He actually didn't get that far, though for a cub it sure felt like forever when you walked away from your cave. His squeaky voice was him practicing, as he was intent on being an awesome warrior, or hero, or just....someone amazing when he was older. He was going to succeed, no matter what! So the first thing on the list was to actually sound brave. A squeaky roar wasn't going to get him anywhere.

	Mpapuro heard a funny noise while she was wandering around outside of the den. It sounded...like an injured bird! She had to help the poor bird! The yellow and blue cub hurried over to rush to its aid. ...and found another cub! This one was all white, to her yellow. Mpapuro looked around hurridly before focusing on him. "Where's the bird? I heard a bird crying out in pain!"

	Adrastos blinked. "There's no bird here....." Though he was pretty sure that there wasn't one around, he couldn't help himself. He was looking around as well, his golden eyes blinked as he looked and looked. "....see! No bird here!" He didn't connect that his roaring practice was probably what she heard. He thought he was sounding pretty good at this point, if not quite like what Papa sounded like. Adra would get there someday. The sooner, the better.

	Mpapuro looked around as well, but saw no more bird than the other cub did. She frowned and paced around him. Nothing, not even a stray feather! "But I heard a bird! Just now! It couldn't have flown away that quickly...could it?" Blue eyes got wide as she considered the possibility of a ghost bird or a spirit bird. It would then be able to make noise, and she wouldn't be able to see it! Just like now! "It must've been a spirit bird!" she exclaimed aloud.

	Adra listened to her, a bit curiously....but then he had to burst out with laughter. A spirit bird? He rolled around on the floor, just thinking it hilarious. "Spirit....bird?! Hahaha!" It was hard to breathe, but he was slowly, slowly!, calming himself down. "No, I bet it pretended it was hurt so you'd come out....and its grab ya! Like a vulture!" He roared again, but it just squeaked out pitifully as he pretended to be a vulture sweeping around her, his little body running around the yellow and blue-ringed cub.

	Mpapuro screwed up her face angrily as the white cub laughed at her. "It's not funny!" she told him, stamping one forepaw angrily. She was about to insist on the bird's existence one more time when he roared at her. Suddenly something clicked into place. "Wait...it wasn't a bird after all! It was you!" The yellow lioness considered this new revelation. Then she burst out laughing. "Your roar sounds like a wounded bird! Ahahaha!" Now that was funny!

	Now it was Adra's turn to scrunch his face up. He had been enjoying himself, but she had to go and be stupid! Just like a girl! His little tail lashed behind him angrily, or as angrily as it could look when he was just a cub. "No, your hearing it just bad! Bad like an old grandmaaa!" ....hopefully his parents wouldn't hear him. He thought he heard them talking about how old they felt, but they weren't grandparents....right? Ugh, there were always too many cubs running around, like this one! "I bet you can't roar like I do," he said smugly.

	Mpapuro's superior smile stuck to her face for a few long moments. Then he compared her to a grandma. Well, she didn't have any grandmas. But she had a grandpa. Grandpa Kizamaji. And Grandpa Kiza was ooooooooooooooooooooold. Old enough to have been Daddy's age when he was a cub. That was really really old, and Mpapuro was definitely not old! "I am not a grandma! Grandmas and grandpas are really really old!" she informed the other cub, glaring at him. "And lionesses don't roar," the yellow cub informed the boy primly. "Only males need to roar to prove their...their..." what was it her mother said? She couldn't remember. "Well, it doesn't matter. Lionesses don't roar!"

	Adra laughed. "Don't roar?" Well! He had certainly heard some of the adult lioness roar here and there! Who wouldn't? It was so much fun! "What, you think you're a laaaady?" He...couldn't help himself, and broke out into giggles again. Cubs couldn't be ladies, and she certainly wasn't a lady yet! Then, a sudden moment of clarity. "...your mama doesn't roar, really?" Now that he thought about it, some lions didn't roar at all. Lack of hunting? Lack of being cool and awesome and amazing? Maybe.

	Mpapuro glared at the white cub. "It's not nice to roar! My mommy only roars when my brother does something stupid," she told the other cub with a "hmmph!" She glared some more. "Stop twisting my words anyway!" she pouted. The white lion was making a mess out of this whole thing!

	Adra blinked. He was clearly confused, and dumbfounded. And just...didn't really know what to say. Girls were weird, he knew that. His own sisters were strange. To find out the other girls that he didn't even know were weird too? Well...he felt like he just didn't understand them, and might never be able to. "Uh, well...er....sorry?" He didn't think he did anything wrong, but boy did she look upset. Sensitive, he was going to have to remember that. If a girl did something mean to him...he'd know just the way to get back at her!

	"You should be sorry!" Mpapuro huffed at the white cub. "That was very mean of you, and I'm glad you apologized." Wait. If he was apologizing, didn't that mean the fight was supposed to be over and she couldn't be angry anymore? But that made no sense! She was still mad at the boy! The yellow lioness fumed as she tried to figure things out.

	Man, something was up with this girl, and Adrastos was thinking that he miiiight not want to hang around here anymore. She still seemed really mad at him, and he knew that if she was still mad....she might pounce him or something. So....how should he escape? Certainly she'd forget about him, or confuse him with one of his brothers. They all looked alike unless you reeeally knew them! "Uhhh...." Should he just run for it? He couldn't quite make up his mind.

	Now he looked confused. Good! He should be confused! It was all his fault that she was confused anyway! Mpapuro didn't know why he was so dumb, but he was, and that was annoying and ugh, she might as well go back to the den! "Hmph!" the yellow lioness turned on her paws and left. She didn't know the white cub's name, but she'd know to avoid him from now on! So there!

	So he just sat there for a moment, alone. "Girls are weird." He shook his head and decided to head home. Even if girls were weird, and least he sort of understood his sisters!
