With winter break coming up soon, Vyth had been hunkering down for a while. Studying mostly for exams and all that junk. Though recent events lingered heavily in the back of her mind making it almost impossible to get any serious studying done. Not that she was too worried about bad grades.

But now she needed a break. She needed to get out of her stuffy dorm room and get a breath of fresh air. And what better way than camping?

The leaves were beginning to turn to their Fall colors in the mountains and the air was getting a bit chilly. That made it the perfect time for a little outdoor adventure. While she could of just gone up to the cabin her family owned, Vyth wanted the full camping experience before winter decided to settle in. So she had talked her father into renting an SUV for her for the weekend, to which she had stuffed very full and strapped junk to the top of. While she didn't drive often she wasn't the worst driver in the world.

She had invited Gabe along of course. Figuring he needed a little down time as well. To just get out of the city and have some non-patrolling fighting Order time.

Puling up to his house, Vyth slipped out of the driver's side. Wearing some faded blue jeans, black boots and shirt with a black hoodie. Her hair pulled up into a ponytail to keep most of it out of her face. She made her way to the front door and ringed the door bell. Waiting patiently with her hands clasped behind her back.

A wide grin spread across her face when Gabe opened the door. Though she had to stifle a bit of a giggle at his attire. It was a bit obvious that he had recently bought the clothes as they were still pretty fresh and new looking. Almost like he was about ready to go on a safari. Though she had to admit he looked pretty good in it anyway.

She motioned a thumb over her shoulder. "Yep! Totally packed and ready for adventure. You ready?"

Was he missing his safari hat? Shoving her hands into her hoodie's pockets she raised an eyebrow slightly. "It should be a fairly pleasant drive. Hopefully there won't be too much traffic. Lots of people are wanting to get out of the city before snow starts to fall. But the camp grounds shouldn't be that crowded."

"Awesome lets go then!" Quickly turning on her heels she made her way back to the SUV. Giving the straps that held everything on top down a quick check over to make sure they were nice and tight. Didn't want to loose anything essential!

After her check, she slipped into the driver's seat and started the SUV up. Revving it's engine a couple of times as she waited for Gabe to follow suit. "Hopefully you won't find my music too off putting." She joked with a laugh. Waving a dismissive hand in front of her face as she gripped the steering wheel and flicked through tracks of the CD she had in the stereo.

"You got everything? Better be sure now cause once we're off we ain't comin' back. Toothbrush, hair brush, pants, sweater, other essentials?" Vyth had triple checked everything she had packed up to make absolutely sure nothing was left behind that they would need. She knew the pains of forgetting things on trips.

"Ahahaha. We'll see about that." Finally she stopped flicking through tracks, having finally chosen one of the songs on this CD. One of the ones that was a bit less...intimidating or perhaps depressing.

"Awesome." She gave him a light grin before pulling quickly away from the curb, wiggling lightly in her seat to the music. Certainly excited about this whole trip. Roasting marshmallows and hot dogs by the campfire, seeing the cute little animals scamper about. Hopefully they wouldn't run into anything dangerous, but she wasn't going to let that thought spoil the whole outing.

"Hopefully we'll have a fairly quiet weekend." Hopefully no Senshi were out there running around. Vyth didn't really know if they even patrolled that far outside the city. Glancing at him out of the corner of her eye, she frowned lightly. "How have you been doing?" She figured he would pick up on what she was talking about, but he didn't have to go into great detail. Vyth just wanted to know if he was ok.

Cause that's what you did when you cared about someone.

"Haha, well just wait till something heavier comes on. This one is kind of mild."

Moving her right hand from the wheel, she grasped his hand and gave it a tight squeeze. That was pretty much the answer she had expected. She didn't expect him to be all sunshine and rainbows about it, but she had certainly hoped it hadn't dragged him down too much.

"Well hopefully this trip will keep you not thinking too much about it. This is suppose to be fun. I've got fishing poles, camping games, all that fun jazz. Maybe we'll get to see some wildlife before they decide to head in for hibernation." She wanted to see at least one cute little deer dammit.

"By the way, I spoke with my father and he's eager to meet you. I can't say if that is a good or bad thing but lets just hope it turns out good. We'll have to figure out sometime to head up to the estate. He's home from a recent business trip for a while." Moving the wheel slightly, she zipped around a rather slow moving car. The highway beginning to thin out as the landscape around them began to gain a more foresty nature to it.

"You might regret those words some day." She shot him a cheeky grin. Oh, Vyth could show him lots of new things she was sure. Never leave an invitation like that open with her.

Nodding, she placed her hand back on the steering wheel as the road began to get a bit more mountainous and windy. "Oh yea. Lots to do for sure." She chuckled lightly as he mentioned the telescope and star charts. Though Vyth was certainly not surprised by it in the least.

She didn't notice the color drain out of his face but she could hear the uncertainty in his voice. It was a big deal for sure. Meeting your girlfriend's father and all that jazz. Hell, she still had to meet his parents but she wasn't all that worried about it anyway. "It'll be finnnneeeee." Trying to sound as reassuring as she could. "Perhaps before Christmas or around New Years or something."

"Mmmhmmm." She squinted her eyes at him lightly with a curious brow raised. The smile on his face confirmed at least that he was excited about this whole adventure anyway. Of course, she was sure from the beginning but at least he was smiling.

They'd figure something out. Hopefully before they let time slip away. It seemed like you could blink and a month would roll by and you'd wonder where the time went. At least it felt that way to her.

"I think you'll like it out there. There aren't a lot of people around, no seriously close neighbors. We've got a stable too if you want to try your hand at horseback riding. My grandfather was talking about doing a holiday party. Inviting a bunch of friends and family. So you wouldn't feel so overwhelmed by just us being there and having my father's entire attention on you all the time." She knew her father could be intimidating to some and she was pretty sure he'd probably try that act out on Gabe. So if there were others there to draw his attention perhaps it would make him feel less on the spot rather than if it were just them.

And just like that it seemed that their destination was drawing all the more closer as camp site signs began to appear along side the road. It was nice that they weren't days drives away and if one wanted to you could just take a semi-short trip outside the city and set up camp.

She was glad that he seemed pretty optimistic about the whole horse back riding thing. Most people were fairly nervous about the idea if they had never done it before, especially cause it meant dealing with large animals that could really hurt you if you weren't careful. "Awesome."

"Have you never been camping before?" Driving the SUV a little furthur down the road, Vyth soon turned it down a smaller uneven dirt road that bounced the truck around quite a bit. Four wheeling to the extreme it seemed.

Eventually they came to a little area that was cleared out where she pulled the SUV into and off to the side, turning the engine off. "Well we're here. Lets get unpacking and set stuff up."
