Noe lay low to the ground, the only thing moving her red eyes. She tried to be as still as possible, so she wouldn't disturb the leaves of the bush she was hidden under. However she couldn't quite stop the nervous flicking of her tail-tip - she was a little nervous about being found out.
In the morning she'd been with her siblings, playing all sorts of games. They'd started a hide-and-seek game and in a brilliant move, if she did say so herself, she'd sneaked off to one of her favourite spots - the training grounds. She was almost certain none of her siblings would search for her there.
Ever since the evening she had accidentally stumbled upon the training grounds, she'd developed quite the fascination with the members of the Avian clan. Every now and then she would sneak off away from her family's den and find a nice hiding spot to watch them train from for a while. It always earned her a stern talking-to when her parents noticed her absence. So far that hadn't stopped her, as was proved by her being here again.
'Look at those birds, look at them fly! And how they work with their masters!' She watched them longingly, wishing she had a bird of her own.
By now she'd forgotten she was supposed to be playing hide-and-seek and she'd stopped paying attention to her surroundings.

Najwa-Shula had been eager to play games with her siblings that morning. Hide-n-seek was one of her favorites. They had played for several rounds when Najwa found herself 'it'. She dutifully counted down for her siblings to hide. Finally she reached the end and went looking for them. In the end, she'd found, they'd made it safely back, all but one. Her brow wrinkled. It was over until the last cub was found.
The flame marked female let her other siblings wander off to do what they wished. She was going to find Noe! Najwa put her nose to the ground and started tracking, heading for all the places she thought her sister might be. It baffled her when she couldn't find the blue cub at all. Puzzled she went back to the 'safe' zone. Nope. Though she was reluctant, as it didn't fit in per the game, she followed her sister's scent.
It lead to a place she wasn't famliiar with. Cautiously the female creeped ever closer. Then a blue tail tip twitched and she knew she'd found Noe. Najwa gave a mighty crow and leaped onto her sibling. "I Found You!!!! What are you doing here? Where is here?" Mission accomplished, the young female made no effort to keep her voice down. Easily drawing attention from those recently under scruteny.

"Aaah!" Noe yelped startled when her sister landed on top of her. As quickly as she could she wriggled away from under Najwa and reached with her paws to her face, trying to silence her. "Shhh! It's the training grounds. Be quiet!" She hissed. "I'm not sure we're allowed to be here." Cautiously she moved a branch away to make sure no one had heard the. Unfortunately, someone had, which was no surprise. It would be odder if they hadn't, actually. Either way, one of the trainees was coming their way.
"Gogogogo!" She scrambled to get away as fast as possible, pushing her dark sister out from under the bush as well. "Let's hide there." She said and ran to hide behind the trunk of a nearby tree. Once they were both well hidden she peeked from behind the tree. The lion circled the bushes once, but didn't investigate further.
"Heh, lucky us. Guess he thought it was some prey animal or something. High-five!" She gave her sister a wide smile. However that was replaced by a puzzled expression. "How'd you find me here anyway?" She was a little miffed someone else had discovered her special place. Well, considering how many of the pride's members were here on a daily basis, it definitely wasn't hers or very secret, but she conveniently forgot about that for the moment.

Najwa was delighted with the noise her sister made. It was the best sound ever! Though the bucking part as Noe escaped from under her wasn't quite so pleasant. The flamed female sat up with eyes bright.
"Iah dound oooh," she mumbled through her sister's paws. The young cub was rightfully pleased with herself. Having found her sister though she'd hidden real good. Wait 'til she told ma and pop. Her ears perked up as her sister told her where they were. Training ground? Najwa peered around her sister.
"What's that? What's so good about being here?" She could see some lions doing stuff, but not what they were doing. Najwa squeaked as Noe told her to 'Go!' and scrambled away. Instinctively she followed. She followed her sister behind the tree and sat facing her, with her rump clearly visible from behind the tree. "What was that all about?" She aske, though was quickly loosing interest.
"You mean lucky you! I found you! That means your it now. I mean if we're still playing and all. I think our siblings got bored waiting for me to find you and left." She titled her head thinking then shook it. Najwa puffed out her chest. "I followed your scent! You weren't in any of the other places I looked for you."

"Oh, really?" Noe sighed. "I'm sorry I ruined the game for everyone." Her eyes fell to the ground and she shuffled one of her front paws guiltily. "I forgot we were playing." She really did feel bad for abandoning the game. She loved playing with her siblings. "I just got a little distracted."
"My scent?" It seemed so obvious now that Najwa said it. "Hm. Well there's no way to hide that." She said, tilting her head to the side. "Is there?" "Okay, see the birds flying above the training grounds?" Noe motioned towards the sky. "They're each...uh...partnered, yeah ,that was the word, partnered with someone from the pride. I think they call them avian clan or something. So they, like, do stuff together and it's awesome!" She beamed at her sister.

Najwa gave a shrug. It really was only a matter of time before someone lost interest. "That's ok. We can find something else to do." She flicked her ears as her sister apologized. Well Noe could do something to make it up to them.
She nodded. Was there way to hide it? "I... donno. We can ask mom and dad I guess." There had to be.
The black cub craned her head around. She squinted a moment then nodded. "Ja," Najwa replied dubiously. Weren't there birds everywhere? She gave her sister a very long, silent look. "What is so great about some stupid birds? Their probably just trying not to be eaten." She huffed, miffed that Noe had left their game for some dumb birds.

"They're not stupid!" Noe protested. "I told you, they work with the pridemembers, I've seen it. They teach the birds to spy and other stuff like that, it's so neat. When I grow up, I'm gonna have a bird just like that." She puffed her chest out proudly. Looking at her sister expectantly, she noticed Najwa didn't seem very happy with her. "I said I was sorry about the game. If you don't like the birds, we can do something else now." She added, trying to appease her sister. "Whatever you want to do, okay? I'm all yours!" Noe winked at her mischievously.

Najwa wasn't sure she believed her sister, but she said nothing rather than cause an argument. Though from now on she was going to pay more attention to the avian life around the pride. She had to relent though as Noe promised to do whatever she wanted. Immediantly she warmed up and gave her sister a friendly head-bump.
"Ok! C'mon lets go race!" Najwa sprang to her feet ready to dash off. She had Noe to play with, so it didn't concern her where her other siblings might have been.
