Batsu looked down at his paper for a second and looked over the questions for a second. He then looked over at the other medic corp-hopeful in the room and flashed a small smile at him as a sign of good luck. The boy then went back to his desk and his own paper. As Batsu read the first question his right hand went to pick up his pencil. Luckily for him, he had been reading enough books to know the answer... not by free will mostly.

Right after Batsu graduated, he went to the hospital and asked Mayumi-sempai to teach him a few things about being a medic. Before long he was bombarded by reading assignments and a follow-up paper shortly after. As grueling as it was, it seemed to pay off. His genjutsu had gotten more potent, he was able to mold chakra easily, and his knowledge of medical ninjutsu became quite extensive. He knew it, Mayumi-sempai knew it, and his team mates were quite grateful as well. Hopefully it would all pay off in the exam and he'd pass with flying colors.

The next question wasn't at all large but rather vague. Gennosuke looked at it perplexed before reading it again. "What makes a medic a necessity on a team?" he read to himself before writing his answer on his paper. 'A medic can help reduce the casualty rate while out on a mission. They are the corner stone of a team as they are there to heal all wounds, protect from poisons, and increase moral by reducing the rate of death while on missions. They give the team hope.' thought Gennosuke as he scribbled with the pencil. He looked at the answer and although he himself thought it was correct he wouldn't know for sure. He sighed before moving on to the next question.

DC: 20 vs 15 + [5] = 20 [Success?]

Batsu continued to run through the exam without hiccups whatsoever. The boy couldn't help but laugh to himself as he did so. While his other team members focused on strength building and whatnot he decided to hone his mental capabilities. No, he wasn't a match when it came to fighting at first... but the more he learned, the smarter he got, the more of a threat he became. Now he was able to blaze though an exam without flaw and more confident in himself than he ever was... all because he went his own way.

As Batsu went back to looking at his own paper, the boy looked at the next question and hastily filled out his answer. However, the boy felt like something was off about his work. Acting upon his intuition, Batsu started from the first question and double-checked to make sure he did his answers correctly. As he recalculated the first question, he found that he did everything correctly and proceeded on to the next one.

After reviewing the second question, once again, he was right. But once Batsu got to the third question he frowned a bit. His math was off by a substantial margin and it was all because of the other kid. Granted, he was something to look at, but he let himself get distracted by him. Batsu took his eraser and frantically went to writing down the correct answer after a little bit of thought.

Gennosuke had been looking out the corner of his eye the whole time at the other guy taking the exam with him. He wondered how old he was and who he was. He smirked a little think about if they both passed they may be on the same team. He began to daydream about missions and fighting to save lives together. He glanced down and remembered he had to pass the test in front of him first. He read the next question and quickly jotted down a answer not sure what to think about it or the question. He sighed peering out the corner of his eye again.

DC: 20 vs 11 + [5] = 16 [Fail]

Gennosuke was so sure of himself with the last question that he misread the next one. He mixed up a couple of the words and so the answer would definitely be wrong. He began to scribble down a long drawn out answer to a questions that could have simply been answered with a measly yes or no. By the time he finished writing his answer had gained several lines and was now going sideways up the page. He smirked after he was finished happy with what he felt was correct.

Gennosuke sat in the room a bit unsure of why he was taking the exam. He hadn't really been keeping up with his studies in the Medical Field and he thought that everyone had all but given up on the notion of him becoming a medical nin. He sighed at the paper in front of him. He figured he would atleast try to. Pass the test.

He stared at the first question reading it carefully. It asked what were the necessary steps to take to stop bleeding. Gennosuke looked up at the ceiling thinking for a second before whiting down his answer. "Cleaning the infected wound, adding pressure to stop the bleeding, wrapping the wound, and if you have healing hands technique heal the wound so as not to leave a scar," thought Gennosuke to himself.
