I've heard their song ' How Soon is Now' it was pretty good

Also check out their lead singer's solo work. Morissey does some pretty good stuff on his own.

I love them! mOz is the man! And who doesn't love Johnny Marr? I mean come on, even the Gallagher brothers like him and they hate everyone whee

The Smiths are a great band. Even though you're a bit behind in having just found out about them I'll give it to you that How Soon is Now is a very good song. That's one of my favourites actually. ^_^

one of my longtime favourite bands. very influential, but morrisey's solo work isn't what it used to be.

I like the Smiths and Morrissey in general, in fact just a short while ago I was listening to Vauxhall and I on loop for like, five days. But there's one thing that kind of creeps me out. Every single tattoo parlor and "cool" store that I've ever been to is always playing The Smith "The hits..." PLAY SOMETHING ELSE PEOPLE!
But yeah, it's pretty fun. I honestly think most of the songs are more funny than depressing.

wickerseer they're good, they just sound a little too synth pop for me synth pop? neutral anyways, the smiths are one of my favorite groups ever. i don't see why people say they are a goth band.
