opening the door with a well balanced foot, Solomon entered with a full armload of books barely able to even move in this stance he somehow managed to get to his seat. setting the books down he looked up at the board wondering what he could get from the class. he was already so well versed in the dark arts but necromacy never actually accured to him. so this was a full seperate art avalable to him. he chuckled tightening his mask and hood "...ahhhh another wonderful day ahead...I wonder what I can do in this class....I hope there is some female classmates ^w^"

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu." Looking up as yet another student entered his class, Andrew considered offering his help to the boy, but quickly realized that it would be unnecessary. The student had managed to pick a seat and settle in, allowing him to return his attention to the board behind him. He wrote his name in the upper right corner, his handwriting clear and easy to read. When the bell rang to signal the beginning of class, he turned to face the class, his gaze sweeping over the chairs that held occupants. The room was far from packed, but he had expected such since he had insisted upon working with small class sizes. The subjects he teached took concentration, something he found was easier to achieve for all when one wasn't surrounded by a crowd. "Afternoon. I am Professor Caliu, and I will be explaining and teaching the craft of necromancy to you all." He flashed a small smile of welcome, his mood upbeat as he remembered that this was his last hour of class for the day. Quietly, he moved to hand out syllabi to each student as he continued to speak, his tone calm. "I've outlined the basic rules on your syllabus. If you follow those and budget your time, then I'm sure you'll find this course an easy one to pass." Most lessons involved hands-on learning, so he knew that most students would be glad to hear that homework was a rare thing, though occasionally essays and papers would be assigned. Finishing with his task, he moved to lean back against his desk as he asked casually, "Does everyone here understand that this class requires more participation thab most?" He paused, waiting for a few signs of agreement from the students before he continued. "Good. Now, can anyone tell me what they think necromancy is? Someone with any prior experience?"

Solomon raised his hand smartly. “ah…teacher…..I have had significant experience with the dark arts in a wide variety even experience with the undead though I have never actually had the pleasure of working with the art of….necromancy…..” His aura seemed to perk with interest at the mention of the dark art. It was after all the last dark art he knew of that he didn’t already nearly master. As well as his aura his masked face couldn’t hide his peeking to the left and right in disinterest as he scanned the room for attractive classmates

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu."H Glancing over as a hand was raised, he gave a slight nod to student for him to speak. Although it was interesting to know that the boy had some prior knowledge of such magic, Andrew was unsurprised to hear the over-used terminology most students had given hin throughout the day. "I would rather we all refrain from stereotypes. Necromancy, among other things, may be seen as a 'dark art' to many humans, but for those of within the veil, I see it as another craft pertaining to magic." He continued to lean against his desk, his posture relaxed as he allowed his gaze to wander across the other student's expressions before returning to the boy who had spoken. Trying to regain his attention, the teacher spoke again. "But you haven't really answered my question. What do you think necromancy is?" He awaited a response patiently, allowing his eyes to scan the class once more, trying to deduct some of their thoughts by their expressions. Some, he knew, would be more comfortable working with the dead than others, but he was also curious as to who would turn out to be the most gifted; after all, such magic was rare in most beings.

he did not know what it was but something about this teacher made him smile. almost as if he sensed something within the man but he played it off and laughed lightly scratching his head reverting to his usual ploy of the moderate student teasingly peeking at a girl a little to his right with a slightly shorter than normal skirt "....ah...well...I guess.....magic that lets you play with the dead"

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu." Withholding a sigh as the student's attention was captured by another for obvious reasons, Andrew spoke in response to what Solomon had stated. "'Play' is a rather informal term." He paused, looking to the entire class as he spoke, "When you work with the deceased, you must be extremely polite. The dead don't forget as easily as those that live, and they deserve our politeness if we are to disturb their time of rest." Necromancy was something that he was born with the ability to do, so he was always willing to learn more; throughout his years of stuy, he had come to realize that each ghost had to be treated a certain way, or else he could end up with some problems. "Necromancy is magic that allows you to contact the dead. Most races can be taught that ability, but only a few beings are born who can summon." Therefore, he hoped that the class understood that in this course, they would only be going through the things that could be taught to all, unless he managed to find someone with a greater affinity.

solomon chuckled still playing the foolhardy student. "ah....so the uniqueness of the soul takes part in your potential of necromancy?" even though his voice sounded his questions his eyes were glued on the girl to his left

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu." Hearing the student's response, Andrew rose a brow, taking a moment to evaluate Solomon as he answered. "I suppose you could say that. Most people aren't sure what it is that allows one person to become a necromancer over another. Wether it is our souls or genes, all we know is that it is magic." Giving a slight shrug, he moved the subject forward, though he was very aware of the boy's seemingky stare at another student. "Now, I've already stated rule one: be polite to any ghosts you may encounter." He paused, his gaze sliding back to Solomon as he straightened from his lean against the desk. Taking a few steps forward, he stopped between the two students, silently trying to end the staredown as he spoke with another student about the second rule. "That's right. Always be prepared to end a summoning." Anything could go wrong at any time, and the teacher had gone through his own sore experiences while trying to contain a spirit. There had been a few close calls, something he would do his best to prevent happening to any of his students.

Solomon smiled "...the general theories are that the soul is in itself biological to a point mana of a son can be confused with the mana signature of a father. there is not reason in biology that would explain it but I guess generally its something to do with the soul's own heritage. though...one other thing always helps magic....but I will leave that detail out...most people become angry when that topic is discussed" he chuckled forgetting that he was a student in a class. "so teach whats the first fun thing we get to do?can we try a summoning?" Solomon leaned back in his chair with the general ((dont care)) look but he was indeed very interested

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu." Stepping back towards his desk, he leaned against it once again, his brow raised as he listened to Solomon speak. Well, weren't show-offs exactly the type of people he was used to? Allowing the boy to finish, he cleared his throat, giving his own response. "Yes, I've heard of the general theories." Despite having researched such and many other theories for a majority of his life, he was far from agreement with idea. Still, he let the matter drop, not wanting to turn this course into a magical theory course. Instead he looked back to Solomon, shaking his head at the question given. "You can't do anything of the kind before you learn the mechanics behind it." That seemed like an obvious fact, but he didn't mention so, nor did he bother to correct the student in his proper title. "Like I said, very few beings can summon. But you all will be contacting the dead in a couple of weeks."

Solomon smiled. "...oh boy...dead people...so fun ^w^" he chuckled and his eyes leveled with the teachers but something was off. he seemed aggressive but quickly it stopped and almost as if he had done something wrong he slowly slumped back into a less attention grabbing stance. "....so then teach....what is the general basics of necromancy?"

"Me? I'm Andrew Caliu." Choosing to ignore the boy's mention of dead people, he would only learn through experience that spirits demanded respect, Andrew glanced up to the clock, pleased to see that his class was almost over. The question given caused him to look back, catching Solomon's eye for a moment. Despite the aggression, it had quickly faded, and he wasn't worried unduly about one student's feelings. The question was far more important, so he answered that with a faint smile. "And that is exactly what we'll be covering for the rest of the week." He straightened, motioning to the door as he told the class, "Your released. But I do expect you all to read the syllabus and understand that this class will require a few special materials." With that, he allowed then to leave, simply glad for his own work day to be over now. The first day of his job had gone as smoothly as he had hoped, and now it was time to return to the Capital City.

"I see.....well...cant complain about freedom....but I was hoping for more actual experience....." with a smile he stood up his stealthy hands snagged the advanced Necromacy books from the desk tossing it in his backpack. done in such a manner that if he was actually caught it would look more or less as if he had done it on accident just tossing the textbooks in his bags

Hiya. I'm Lyndis Sunderson. Although Lyndis spent every day in this class for Charms and Rituals, she could often be found here every day when school ended. With her parents living in the Capital, this teacher was her only real support system on the island, as he was her uncle. Andrew had spent the last fifteen minutes in silence, grading papers without so much as a look to her. She knew he wanted to ask what was on her mind, but he would never force her to speak. It was much more in his style to simply wait until she spoke freely, and with Andrew's unending amount of patience, she knew he would always succeed. Finally, she stopped playing with the zipper on her backpack and told him why she was there. Once her explanation had been done, he responded with his usual calm tone, giving her advice to help her through the problem. They spoke for at least an hour, and for every minute that passed she became more confident in her decision. Really, her uncle was the best problem solved of the family, and she told him as much at least once a day.
