"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn" Leaning against a counter, Lorina found herself to be very, very bored. This job was nice, she supposed, but only when the place was crowded and full of enough people to keep her busy, much unlike now. The place was nearly empty, with only a handful of customers that didn't seem to require much attention. All of their mugs were full and she had already gone around to clean, though that wasn't a mandatory task of her particular job. Still, she was bored, and didn't even have her best friend around to keep her entertained. Sighing, she crossed her arms, sorely tempted to pull out her phone until someone walked in or she was forced by her manager to put it away. Granted, he looked just as bored, so she took the risk, slipping the cell from her pocket and bringing up a new game of tetris.

 Zander OkamiZander stepped into the building with a large black guitar case on his back, obviously with an acustic inside.
"seems like a quiet enough place to relax" he said quietly before taking a seat at the nearest table and set the guitar case on the floor beside him.
'I wonder what they have to eat' he thought as his stomach let out a small growl 'crud...' he let out a small sigh

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn" Looking up as a new customer entered, she shrugged it off, returning her gaze to her phone. The boy had chosen to sit, and as a barista, waiting tables was not in her description. So, ignoring the room, she reimersed herself into tetris...until she felt a tap on her shoulder. Her eyes snapped up, meeting her manager's gaze with a sigh. "Fine..." She already knew what he wanted, and that was for her to take the duty of a server. It didn't really matter, as it would help her boredom, but she silently wished that it would earn her a bit more money. Nontheless, she pushed herself away from the counter, sliding her phone into her pocket as she grabbed a half-apron to tie around her waist. With the tie completed, she approached the table that held Zander, her most charming smile in place as she greeted him. "Hello, welcome to Cornerstone." She placed a menue on the table in from of him, her tone cheery as she asked, "What can I get for you to drink?" They had pretty much anything, but one could find a complete list inside the menue's first flap. Standing quietly, she waited for his choice, her expression never becoming less than polite.

Zander OkamiZander turned his attention toward Lorina "I'll just have a glass of water for now" his voice seemed close to mono toned.
"I'll be out of your way soon enough" he said quietly so no other customers could hear him, he could easily tell she was in a rough mood 'lets see what there is to eat...' he thought as he looked over the menu with an empty look in his eyes.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn" Nodding at the request of a water, she was about to leave when the man spoke again, causing her to halt. She shook her head quickly, her words coming out in the same cheerful tone as she told him, "No, no. Take your time, sir." Choosing to complete her turn, she moved towards the kitchen, where she asked the cook for a glass of water. Still, as she waited for him to set aside his own phone, she thought seriously about the customer's reaction. She had appeared with a friendly face and tone, yet he seemed so sullen. Had her acting skills grown so terrible? If so, was she going to lose her spot on the soap opera she had just landed, making her entire college career a waste of time? Lorina took a deep breath, willing away such a dramatic conclusion. He must just be a serious sort of guy...yeah, or a mind reader. In the Capital, she wouldn't be surprised. Picking up the water glass, she moved back into the dining area, her smile even wider as she set the water down in front of her customer. "Ready to order?" she asked sweetly, doing her best to keep her thoughts positive, just in case. Besides, she really was happier now, having shrugged off boredom in favor of actually doing her job.

Zander OkamiZander couldn't help but let out a small chuckle, followed by a smirk after seeing the girl's dramatic change in expression "yes I am, thank you" he handed over the menu "could I have your recomendation?" he looked up at her with a more relaxed look on his face 'she's more convincing this time' he thought, still showing a slight smile.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn" Collecting the menue, she nodded, using it as a support for her pad of paper. Holding the pen ready, she prepared to write down whatever he wished to order when he spoke again. She paused, considering the question for a moment; many customers asked the same thing, so she was usually ready with an answer. "Our club sandwiches are my favorite. Or, if you like chicken, we have an awesome grilled plate." Still holding onto her light expression, she was pleased to note that he seemed more relaxed, which meant that she wasn't chasing him away from the business, hopefully. Ah well, she was doing her job, and she was glad not to be stuck in a corner with a tetris game any longer.

Zander OkamiZander nodded "then I will take your word for it and would be glad to try a club sandwich" he noticed his guitar case slide and quickly grabbed it to keep it from falling 'that was close...' he let out a small sigh before standing it back up "last thing I need need is a broken string" he sat back a bit and looked up at her with a small smile

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn" Nodding as his order was confirmed, she scribbled it quickly across the paper. Once finished, she tucked the pen back into the apron's pocket, looking up just in time to see him catch the guitar case. "That would be terrible." she agreed, knowing the importance strings had to the instrument; not to mention the price it would take to replace them. Seeing his smile, she flashed one of her own before taking a step back, telling him lightly, "I'll be back with your food soon." She turned, moving to the kitchen to give the current cook his order.
Once the plate was ready, she returned to the kitchen counter, retreiving the plate in one hand and a pitcher of water in the other. She made her way back into the dining room, stopping beside Zander's table to set down his sandwich and refill his glass. "Here you are~ I hope you enjoy it. Is there anything else you need right now?" She waited politely for his response, glancing over to the napkin dispenser to ensure that it was still full, which thankfully it was.

Zander OkamiZander looked a bit suprised at Lorina's smile when she turned away. His expression returned to normal by the time she was back "I should be fine for the time being" he said calmly before taking a sip of water 'this really does look good' he thought quietly as he turned his attention to the sandwich.
His stomach growled one last time as his cheeks turned a light pink.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn" Nodding, she returned to her spot near the front counter, where she was pleased to see a new customer. This one was a simple take-out order for coffee, which she completed quickly. Her mood was lightened as she kept busy for several minutes. She delt with other tables, but after awhile she returned to Zander, her upbeat expression more genuine. "How was your meal?" She asked, hopeful that he would be leaving only as a happy customer. After his response, she spoke again, voicing a question that she asked every table automatically. "Did you want any dessert?" This place had started as a bakery, so it was well known for its assortment of cakes and pastries; however, of he was full, she would be able to easily retrieve his check as she continued to clean up.

Zander OkamiZander had a satisfied look on his face after finishing the sandwich "I would love to but I'm afraid I'm too short on money for dessert at the time" he explained with a shrug "thank you for the food and drinks, it was delicious" he pulled out his wallet and suddenly remembered "I'm Zander by the way, Zander Okami" he showed a small but warm smile 'looks like I have enough for today' he thought as he pulled out the money.

"Hullo, my name is Lorina Jinn" With his explanation, she nodded, understanding that sort of situation very well. She came from a large family with so many kids that she was lucky to be where she was. Slipping the check from her pocket, she set it down on the table, a smile on her own face as she told him, "Oh, you're welcome. Come back any time~" As he pulled out his wallet, she heard his next comment, slightly surprised that he would introduce himself to her. That caused her to respond with her own name, her tone friendly as she spoke. "Nice to meet you. I'm Lorina Jinn, but if you ever come back, you can call me Lorie."

Zander OkamiZander placed the money in the check and nodded "I will be back." he smiled and asked "would there happen to be an opening for an entertainer? I've been looking for more work in the area"
