An out-of-breath figure crested a hill in the dark of night. Moonlight highlighted glints of what seemed like a ball like tail and teases of pink. Kayleena glanced uneasily over her shoulder. How had she managed to do it? The usdia's mind whirled with half-thought out explanations before she mentally kicked herself. To stand out in the open after escaping hostile territory was not the wisest plan in the book. She should seek out cover or something along those lines. Kayleena paused to think of her familiar partner that she had left behind. Had it really been Nashota's idea to try this?
It would make sense that she might have known of lesser watched routes through the herd of the Mahapadma but Kayleena had been doubtful. Now it seemed as if that all changed. She was free. The mare gave a joyful bugle before descending down the other side of the hill with blinding speed. Nothing could stop her giddiness it seemed.

The orange striped usidia hadn't really seen any sights of Jigglypuff in a long time which made him a little on edge. Not only that, but he hadn't even seen his daughter in a long time as well. Ever since he let Sherbert go away with her mate, he had been feeling lonely. Rather yet, he hadn't really been doing his usual strolls ever since his daughter went away. It made him sad and really think about his life at the moment. There wasn't anything special going on, but with each passing day he wished he would get a chance to see Jigglypuff again.
Sighing a little bit, he wandered and wandered. He hadn't really kept track of how long he had been walking, but he knew it was a good long time. It wasn't until he spotted another nearby that he was snapped out of his stupor. He wasn't social, so the mere sight of another made him huff and give a disgruntled snort. He walked right on by even though he had to stare at the tail the female had. it was the most unique thing he had ever saw.

By now Kayleena assumed that she'd gotten away with the escape. She had managed to calm her racing nerves and now was slowly plodding on. She did not have a plan in mind as she thought that she would have had no luck with her endeavor. But now that she was out the female usdia was growing despondent. It didn't look like anyone was around that she could really talk with. Shaking away the melancholy thoughts Kayleena gazed around the horizon before spotting movement. Apparently her earlier assessment was flawed. She had not looked hard enough.
A smallish figure was nearing her position and Kayleena held her tongue as the stallion passed her. She grinned as she realized that he was staring at her tail. She waved it around before finding her voice. "I was always told it was impolite to stare. But I'll forgive you. My tail is unusual."

Tiger didn't really realize he was staring at her until long after the words reached his brain. He shook his head and gave a long sigh groaning a little bit. "Yeah I guess I managed to stare a little longer then I shouldn't have...but yes it's a very unusual tail." He shrugged not really finding her or it to be special. "So what are you doing around here?" He asked her unsure why he was even sticking around her right now. He was more blaming it on the fact he was lonely and his children were all far away now. He didn't know what else to do and without meeting up with Jigglypuff again, he didn't see how it would change. "My name is Tiger by the way.." He rolled his eyes wondering if she was even going to remember him after this meeting.

Kayleena's expression didn't give away her inner thoughts that this stallion seemed a little on the less-than-fun side but beggars couldn't be choosers when searching out a little company. Would he even want her company though was the question. The stallion admitted that her tail was unusual which was nice but then his next question caught her off guard. What exactly could she safely tell this perfect stranger?
Hadn't that gotten her into trouble once already? Kayleena bit her lower lip before realizing that she didn't exactly want to lie. "I'll tell you if you can keep a secret ... I'm escaping." Kayleena lowered her voice conspiratorially before she continued, "I've managed to get away just tonight. Now I've run into you."
As Tiger gave his name Kayleena locked it into her memory before flicking a rock from under her hoof. "My name is Kayleena. It's a pleasure to meet you Tiger."

This mare was escaping? It made him wonder why she was escaping in the first place. Was it something bad or was she just trying to be a free spirit? This was something he definitely needed to ask about. "What are you escaping from exactly? If you don't want to tell me that is fine too." He shrugged and gave a small snort. It wasn't his place to be really nosey about something like that, but it was still something he would like to know. There was always a reason behind everything. "Yeah here you are meeting me.." He rolled his eyes looking into the distance. Was it just him or did tonight feel a little different? He couldn't make out what it was, but it was something all right. "So are you up to anything or just taking a stroll?" He asked looking back to the odd mare. Her tail...it was definitely something intriguing.
