Rooftops were amazing. Not only could you safely (for the most part) drain people's energy from them, but you could also hide out when you feel the need to be alone. More specifically, when you needed to get away from annoying siblings when you needed to do your homework.
Sailor Aurora sat with a math book propped up against some metal contraption thingie. Every few seconds, she'd glance between the problem in the book, the mirror wraith that she deployed, and the streets below. So far, within the first hour and a half of her night, she'd managed to .. not get past the first problem. Soooo muuuuuuch for math.

This might be an issue down the line. Becoming a magical girl really broke into her social life!

It was with that thought on her mind that she felt the energy of Chaos closeby. Quickly she urged the mirror wraith back into its mirror, so she could put it back into her pocket. Social calls seemed a lot more important than work at the moment~ Homework included.

Rooftops were, in fact, amazing. Particularly to one Senshi of Seagulls who'd decided to roam them in an attempt to figure out her life. Not that she really expected to sort out every problem, but she craved a bit of freedom and well. Jumping from rooftop to rooftop was enjoyable exercise.

A soft aura of Chaos energy beckoned her as she hopped from roof to roof. Chaos auras could be trusted. It was, after all, highly unlikely that a fellow agent of Chaos would try to attack her. And a bit of company would be pleasant.

With that thought in mind, the tall Seagull senshi quickened her pace and seemed to fly over the rooftops of Destiny City.

Aurora really felt like she wanted to leap from rooftop to rooftop herself, to meet up with this new person. She loved the feeling of the wind against her and the possibility of falling. In fact, she was just about ready to leave her math book behind, when she saw her..

A girl who flew.

When that magnificent girl who could fly landed on her rooftop, all Aurora could do was gaze at her, slack-jawed. Like a civilian yokel. Able to see her more clearly now only confirmed her belief.

"You're... really beautiful."

Finding herself greeted with slack-jawed compliments was not necessarily a new experience for Chariklo. After all, Arilee was usually the recipient of several when she vanished off to her surfing expeditions. Granted half of those were drunk and hoping to be laid when they said such nice things. Well. With an easy grin, the tall senshi ran her fingers through her mohawk and studied the other girl.

Dark uniform, filmy bits, the strange eyeball like design on her tiara that Chariklo knew signified her kind. Well, well. Looks like she'd just been replaced as the newest newbie.

"Hey, thanks," she replied, smiling widely as she greeted the other. "I gotta say, you're pretty damned adorable too."

And she was with her pink hair, over-long sleeves and... were those bloomers? Holy s**t, the cute was going to end up killing her. Sticking her hand out in greeting, Chariklo couldn't help but marvel a little at the diversity of senshi clothing.

"Chariklo, senshi of Seagulls and happily part of the Dark Mirror Court. Please to meet you, cutiepants."

Girls had never called her 'adorable' before. Hell, no boys had either. Neither did they call her 'cutiepie'. So when Chariklo said that, Aurora's eyes went wide and that skin of hers went red. "Ahahahahaha." She laughed a nervous little laugh. "Uhm, Aurora," the girl finally blurted out, sticking her hand out quickly. Too quickly. It smacked into Char's and made Aurora squeak. "S-sorry! Sorry. Senshi of romance. Also dark mirror court!"

She made sure to take Char's hand and shake it though, turned her nervousness into a bright beam. "I haven't met many of us yet. It suuuucks. And you're a senshi of seagulls? Oh my gosh, no WONDER you could FLY. That was so cool."

Admiration full blast.

Arching a single eyebrow in silent amusement at Aurora's nervousness, Chariklo simply shook her hand and found a place to settle for a few moments while they talked. Sitting on the building's edge, with her legs dangling over the side, the pale blonde gestured for Aurora to join her.

"Don't worry, I'm still in the process of meeting everyone. For now, all you need to know is even if you don't know their names, you can trust any other Dark Mirror. I don't think any of us could deal with all of this weird s**t if we didn't know someone's always got our back."

She went silent for a few moments as she studied the pink haired girl carefully. Really new, still nervous. Poor kid. Well, Chariklo was going to make sure she was okay.

"First off, have you met Leto yet? You can always trust her. Red-head called Navi can be trusted too. Also, I can't really fly. You know that, right? I'm just in really good shape, so some of those building jumps are easy for me."

As she spoke, she kept a friendly, interested expression on her face. She didn't want this girl to think she was a cow, after all. Besides, it was hard to not like her. She was so eager and friendly. And Chariklo couldn't deny that her ego was enjoying having some admiration thrown her way.

"So," she began, crossing her legs and leaning back a little. "Romance, huh? What can you do?"

Aurora was more than eager to join her new friend, sitting down on the building's edge and kicking her feet like a little kid as the two of them talked. "Oh yeah, I've met Leto! She's really nice. I tripped and face-planted into her boobs." They were nice and warm and totally squishy. "I met Toutatis and Remarque too. You're the fourth one I met. ... oh, if you don't count Princess Ares, of course. I guess that means that you're number five then!"

She contemplated what Chariklo said, about how all of the DMC had her back. Her conversations with Lenka, with Ate and Albireo were all fresh in her mind. "Yeah. Yeah, you're right about that. .. Anyway, it sure LOOKED like you could fly. I'm not really in that much shape so I guess that's something I gotta work on." Aurora turned her head to beam at the girl beside her fully.

"I can make people like me."

Toutatis? It sounded like Ares had been busy since the ambush. Still, more Dark Mirrors could hardly be a bad thing. And, try as she might to hold it in, laughter erupted out of her as Aurora summed up her meeting with Leto. Howling, she held her sides and hoped that her ribs wouldn't crack from the force of her laughing.

After a few moments, Chariklo managed to gulp air into her lungs and wipe tears of merriment from her eyes. Reaching out, she patted Aurora on the head in a feeble silent apology.

"Oh, dear sweet god, you face-planted into her boobs. Did you motorboat? No, wait, don't answer that. I don't think my ribs can take the strain. Sorry, cutiepants, I'm not laughing at you specifically. I'll try to behave myself, promise."

Still emitting a stray giggle-hiccup, she grinned and winked at the pink-haired girl beside her.

"Don't mind me, babe. I think I'm just a bit jealous of you. It'll pass. And you'll get there as far as looking like you're flying. Just takes practice."

Chariklo was silent for a moment, considering Aurora's stated ability and how it might work. Making people like her? Chariklo certainly found herself liking the eager newbie, but doubted that senshi magic was involved there.

"H-uh. I can make weird, energy ghost seagulls attack people. Kind of useless at this point except as a way to startle folk who aren't expecting it. I'm gonna hazard a guess and say that your magic is more defense based. So, what do you think about patrolling together once in a while? That way, if anyone tries to go after you, I can get your back?"

Aurora laughed right along with her, taking up the cue. It really WAS funny. Luckily Leto didn't hate her for it or anything. The senshi leaned back and tried to catch her breath. "Wait, what's motorboating..?" New term that she had to look up. Might be useful in her fanfics. "Haha, and you don't need to be jealous! There's plenty of Leto to go around." Said OH SO INNOCENTLY.

Her eyes widened a bit as she listened to what Chariklo could do with her magic. "Wow, that's awesome!" And even wider when Char suggested they could team up. In fact, Aurora appeared quite eager, leaning towards the seagull girl. "D'you mean it? Do you think we could patrol once in awhile? That would be amaaaaazing. I'd love it!"

For the first time ever, the tall blonde found herself at the recieving end of almost too much admiration. A little was great for her ego, but this was reaching almost ridiculous levels. Ducking her head to hide the confused blush that was trying to creep across her cheeks, Chariklo found herself blinking and spluttering slightly.

"Oh no," she muttered. "Oh hell no. If you honestly don't know what it is, I am not gonna be the one to break your innocence!"

Granted, she enjoyed being a perv as much as anyone, but disrupting honest innocence just felt... squicky. Nope, nope, nope.

Hearing Aurora's other questions, Chariklo seized eagerly upon them. Smiling again, she cocked her head as she winked over at the other Dark Mirror.

"Wouldn't have offered it if I didn't mean it, babe. Besides, since you're new, it's my responsibility to help you out where I can."

And it was. Chariklo was beginning to feel protective of Aurora and wanted to make sure that she'd be around for a while.

"Baww..." Aurora jutted out her lower lip in a little pout. It didn't last long, though, as she just laughed and shook her head. "I guess I'll just hafta look it up by myself then." She lowered her voice in a teasing tone. "I'll have you think for it. Anyway! Heeee hehehehe."

This girl Chariklo was just so FUN. And amazing. And oh my gosh were those tattoos? She found herself staring at them while Chari spoke.

"That's awesome. So you're like, a big sister. With a pretty cool mohawk. And really cool tattoos, oh my gosh." Aurora poked at Chariklo's arm. "Do you have these as a civilian? Wouldn't they give you away as Sailor Chariklo if someone knew you as ... whoever?" She didn't quite understand glamour yet. Secret identities how does it work
PostPosted: Mon Nov 12, 2012 7:18 am

Enduring the pout while maintaining her trademark easy grin, Chariklo leaned back a bit and chuckled.

"I'm sure you'll live without my being the one to kill whatever innocence you have left. Besides, that's what Google is for, yeah?"

And then came the dreaded words. Big Sister. Which meant that the likelihood of Chariklo ever getting laid again was decreasing. Seriously, it seemed like everyone she knew was either taken, a d**k, or somewhere firmly placed in the FRIEND ONLY category. So much for illicit make outs with Aurora at any point in time. With a long suffering sigh, she turned her head to watch as the pink-haired Dark Mirror poked at her arm. At least the conversation now was something she could get into without reservations.

"Yeah, I have them all the time. And so far, they haven't given me away to anyone. Neither's the mohawk, which you might have noticed, is not a super common hair choice around here," Chariklo laughed. "Way I understand it, the glamour sort of distorts us so that random people can't just discover who we are. Goodness knows there are times when it's a right pain in my a**. I'd love to find out who some of the uniformed cuties I've encountered are as civilians. No luck though."

Here she pulled a mournful face, hoping to coax a laugh out of Aurora.

The long suffering sigh didn't go unnoticed. Neither did the mournful face, even though she was sure that Chari was joking around on the second part. Maybe. You never knew!

"Ahahahaha, they are pretty beautiful and-or handsome." All the better to ship them, my dear. "The White Mooners and the, uh, Chaos-ers or whatever you wanna call 'em alike. I don't think I've met one yet that didn't really catch my eye." And just as they spoke, her plot was already afoot, pairing Chariklo with the various magical people she'd met so far. Aurora grinned at her. "I can totally see you with Leto. Oh my gosh that would be so awesome. All the Chareto babies. Little camouflage mohawk jumpers and onesies oooooh my goooooosh."

Ahem. Hehe. "Do you wanna know my civilian identity though?"
PostPosted: Tue Nov 13, 2012 8:01 am

Wait... WAT. How had this conversion gone from zero to weird so quickly? Camoflage, mohawk babies? Really?

"Whoa!" Chariklo started to laugh, though there was a definite tinge of 'what the hell is even?' there. "Slow down, cowpoke! How the hell did babies get into this talk? And what one earth is a Chareto?"

Savvy as she might have been when it came to street smarts, surfboards and waves, Chariklo had never really spent much time on the internet outside of online shopping and the occasional meme. The concept of shipping was alien to her.

And as for civilian identities... "Well, yeah. Those are always good to know, but you gotta be careful to make sure that no one is ever around that you don't want knowing who you are in everyday life."

Yes, civilian identities were a much safer topic of conversation. She was more than happy to distract Aurora from her talk of babies and onesies. After doing a quick scan around (and below), she closed her eyes and concentrated on finding any nearby power signatures. As far as she could tell, she and Aurora were the only ones within the radius of a few city blocks. It would be safe enough.

With a small sigh, Chariklo allowed herself to power down. After a moment, Arilee Selvig was grinning at Aurora.

"So. This is me."

"Hee hee hee heeeee." Once she made the pairing, there was no stopping her. Nope. None whatsoever. She would let the subject matter drop for now, so that maybe Chariklo could get interested and just HAVE to know what she meant and and and.. yeah. Even though they were speaking of other things now, the Chareto pairing brewed in her head. Heeeeee. So many mohawk camouflage babies.

Aurora joined Chariklo in looking about for other people. Luckily there weren't any around. Unless they were ninjas or.. invisible. Invisible ninjas. And when Chariklo powered down, Aurora was more than eager to gape. "Oh you're sooo pretty!!" The tattos, the mohawk - she was.. "Gorgeous, I mean! I guess that means that I'm next, huh?"

And with that, Aurora clutched her brooch and concentrated, powering down into the form of a young pink-haired Meadowview Highschool student. "Tada~"
