Shanghai Welcome to the largest city in the world. Shanghai is not only the largest, most densely populated city in the world, it is also a great place for Paranormals to disappear. The city is home to warring vampyre covens and a vast majority of the populous have been affected by magic in their lifetime.

Dusk had fallen in Shanghai. Across the city people were gathering for the Winter fireworks show. On the rooftop of an empty, old styled building dating back to the Qing dynasty, two figures appeared.
Sahara blinked, eyes adapting to the time change and flickering amber for a moment. Dusk's pink-violet light had gilded Shanghai in water colors. Her face softened at the tranquil beauty of nature meeting the city. "I think there's less than an hour before the fire work show." Sahara said quietly, glancing across the city to see patrons rushing towards the stadium where it would be held.

He then looked over the new scenery, and all the tension he once held left him. It was peaceful, and the air buzzed with positive energy. The people were excited for the fireworks, and laughter touched his ears. He turned his face and smiled softly at Sahara. " Would you like to eat something quick before? Or would you like to sit down for a while after the show?" Her quietness was a little unsettling. Was something wrong? Or was the true side of Miss Sahara Grei starting to show. Not wanting to read too much into it, Yuko decided on something bold. He put his arm around her shoulder and pulled her close, doing a one armed hug. " Don't get all soft on me now Sahara. She glanced back at Yuko as he spoke. She nearly replied, until he pulled her into a hug. Cheeks blazing, her train of thought crashed. It had been how long since someone had even attempted to hug her? At least two months.
Instead of saying anything concerning the gesture, or the fact that she was half tempted to return it, Sahara looked up at Yuko and smiled defiantly. "Oh, we may as well grab some take out beforehand. After all...shouldn't be too hard to find here." Uneasy, she slipped out from Yuko's arm and instead took it in hers. "Alas we do have to get down..."

Yuko's smile grew wide and he even laughed a little when he saw the amount of blush on the womans face. " Really now Sahara. " Was all he said. When she slid out of the embrace Yuko offered his arm, and she took it. Still beaming, even though she talked about more magic travel, Yuko nodded and sighed lightly. " I don't suppose I could talk you into taking the elevator or the stairs? " He wanted to avoid teleporting or whatever that was at all cost. Though as time went on, it was a little easier to do.

"Don't look too pleased at the prospect." Sahara winked. "And this building doesn't have an elevator."she added, before casting the spell and sending them to the city streets. Few noticed the addition of the new couple, and most simply walked around them. Sahara gave Yuko a moment to collect himself before tugging him along. "So, what's for dinner?" she asked. glancing at various food vendors and restaurants.

" He then looked around and was quickly confused by the bustling mass of people and decided to looks right ahead. " Oooohh I dislike crowds... " He said more to himself than anything. "Hmph. Am I not arm-candy enough?" Sahara quipped, casting Yuko a teasing look. She did however, know a great candy shop to stop by before the show."I've always been the sort to stand out in the crowd, it tends to keep them away from you." This astute observation was followed by Sahara turning into a brightly lit, if not small, cafe. Few people were inside, and that in and of itself was a blessing. A young man glanced up from his place by the door and smiled, leading them to the counter where orders could be made."晚上好。我會想要…" Sahara greeted and ordered her meal before turning back to Yuko. "Anything you want here?" she asked in english.

But I don't think you would let me eat you. " Yuko winked before laughing, not caring that a few heads turned their way. Sahara tugged him into a small food shop and Yuko relaxed. " Keep them away from me hey? What do you mean by that?" The man chuckled softly. " Something with chicken, you choose." He then went into his pocket and pulled out his card. "Can do." Sahara replied, still attempting to keep her scrambled thoughts in order. Really, was he attempting to keep her a certain shade of pink? Because he was doing a great job. "雞炒飯請" Chicken summarily ordered, Sahara leaned against the counter and glanced up at Yuko again."You know Yuko, you should never assume anything when it comes to what I might let you do." Sahara grinned, tapping her nails against the glass counter top while she waited for the meals.

I enjoy spending time and flirting with you, but if you tell me enough, I will stop. " His smile turned from amused to soft and kind. He meant what he said. If anything was too far, he would stop. Their meals arrived and Yuko nodded as a thankyou before picking up the meals and standing tall. " Would you like to eat here? Or would you rather eat during the fireworks?" Yuko was fairly proud with himself. He was actually having fun, flirting with a girl without a knife in his back, and she didn't seem to mind that much. Maybe we will spend a little more time together. His mental mini-me did a few more cheers and ended with the splits and a large glowing thumbs up. "Oh please Yuko. Like I would ever blast you into space." Sahara flushed again. Well, she was having her own issues with fireworks in her stomach."I...we could eat and watch the show." she suggested. "But you wanted something sweet,right?" Sahara asked as a scapegoat to hide the blushing.

Yuko carried both the meals and offered his arm once more. " Yeah, I did. But I can get sweets later. We have this to eat, and something tells me the fireworks wont be nearly long enough for both. Lead the way Lady Grei, before all the good seats are taken. " He then lead Sahara out of the shop and followed the flow of people. "Okay..." Sahara simply followed the crowd, keeping close to Yuko. Losing him in this mass would be a pain. The crowd, as it were, knew exactly where they were going.
Leading up to an open air stadium, the masses filed into benched seats that were seated beneath the now starry sky of Shanghai. Sahara briskly ascended the stairs and slipped into a mostly empty stand. It would be filled with people shortly...But for now the only sound was the murmured buzz of talking and the occasional squeal of some small child receiving a balloon. "You know, I've not been to a gathering of people like this since the rodeo in Georgia..." Sahara noted. That had been....ten years ago?

When the pair were seated, Yuko found out who's meal was who's and gave Sahara her food. He leaned back and crossed his legs before opening the container to see just what she had ordered him. Sliced chicken, noodles, an unfamiliar sauce, and veggies. Yuko sniffed it once, shrugged, and took his first bite. After a few moments he grinned widely. " I don't remember the last time fast food tasted so good. " When he heard Sahara mention a rodeo Yuko tilted his head. She seemed to be a little sad. " Sahara...
