Rolled a four: Water field: Five large platforms float on the surface of the deep pool. Four form a diamond formation around the single platform in the center. While land pokemon can move around on this field, it is mainly built for water-types. This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to WATER type attacks.

Zinnia waved to the trainer on the other side of the stadium while she studied the terrain. It shouldn't prove any problem for Shadow; she flew wherever she went, anyway, and even though she was a cat water didn't bother her. Zinnia nodded to Shadow, and the black mew silently took her place and prepared for battle.

"Let's start this off strong Willow! Use Shadow Ball!"
Willow set her feet and concentrated as the shadows around her coiled into a ball above her head, then swiftly arced towards the Mew.

"Ice Beam!" Zinnia commanded.
Shadow recoiled slightly from the shadow ball hit, but she calmly readjusted herself in the air. She brought her front paws together and raised them. A bright white-blue ball formed in front of them. The ball took a moment to grow larger and then suddenly arced into a beam headed straight for Willow.

Struck by the Ice Beam, Willow took a moment to realign herself.
"Again Willow! Strike with another Shadow Ball!"
Willow again built up the shadows around her into a ball then shot it towards the Mew.

Shadow flinched as she was hit again, but immediately cleared her mind of the pain. She released another beam of icy cold energy.

Struck by the ice attack again, Willow readied herself for another attack.

Shadow neatly dodged the shadow ball this time and hovered at the ready.
"Ice Beam!"
The mew swept her paws forward again, and the ball of energy formed again. The freezing beam shot toward Willow.

Again struck by the ice attack, willow bleated, "Deee!"
"Come on girl! You can do it!" Kytti cheered!
Willow attacked again with another ball of gathered shadows.

The next shadow ball hit the mew squarely in the chest. Shadow recoiled and lost some altitude.

Another ice beam struck Willow. She obtained her footing again and charged up the shadows for another attack.
"You are doing amazing! You can do it Willow!" Kytti happily cheered from her trainer box.
Willow enjoyed the encouragement and attacked anew with the shadows.

The mew was beginning to find the shadow balls very tiresome. She dodged the next one neatly and waited for her trainer's command.
"Ice Beam again!" Zinnia called out. "Almost there!"
Shadow sent another cold beam of energy arcing down toward Willow.
