As the sun rose and began to shine into the small den her rescuer had found, Dylis' eyes slowly began to open and she let out a yawn. She got to her paws and stretched out before slowly walking out of the den to the pool of water that was there. The talk of home had left her wondering if she should go back to the den she had lived in with her parents out here or if she should try to find her own place to call home. If she went back to her parents den, she would probably never leave again and she didn't want to stay with them forever. She yawned once again before taking a drink from the pool to quench her thirst and relieve the dry, scratchy feeling she had woken up with. She gave a small sigh and looked back at the grass she and her rescuer had traveled through the night before. She took a breath and puffed up slightly before heading into the grass.

((I'm not sure when this is suppost to take place, but I'm going to assume it's after Sahar, Neirin and Inia all meet up, and are on their way to the PL.)) The other little Jackal felt a ping of water drizzle on her nose, which caused her to open her eye lid slightly. Her tiny, red left eye examined the area around her, before it shut again. She really didn't want to wake up, she was so comfortable pressed up against Inia's soft belly that moving felt like a punishment of some sort. Despite this, she groaned and sat up in the grass, rubbing sleep and sunlight out of her eyes before she yawned. She wondered if they had made it to the pridelands yet. 'A little farther.' She told herself for the fourth time this week. They had to be getting close by now, she knew it! By this point she had accepted she'd have to live with lions for the rest of her life, and in fact, was a little excitied about it. Her excitment made it impossible to even attempt to go and sleep again, so instead she decided she'd explore a little bit. Only a mile or two away from her friends, it wouldn't be so bad if she stayed... Relevently close... Bah who was she kidding, that wasn't close at all. But she'd be back before they woke up, she promised herself she would before she walked out into the grass. That was good enough, wasn't it?

CaliWolfe I'm not sure either. I'm waiting on Cap to let me know when Inia is ready to meet Neirin, but this could be after it. Dylis made her way through the grass, keeping her tiny, black nose going as she searched for something small that she could have for breakfast. After all, it had been a while since she last ate. If she was lucky, she could find a small rat or a snake. While she was sniffing, she did pick up a couple of scents, though neither smelled like food. A couple smelled similar to her rescuer from the night before and the other smelled familiar to her as well. She decided to be brave enough and attempt to follow the scents to find out where they led to. With that many scents around, there would have to be food near by. Right?

LexThetaSigma Oh yeah! I'm pretty sure Cap and me have one rp left between Sahar and Inia before they all group up. Sahar didn't look all that great while she walked. Besides from her obvious tiredness, her shell necklace was bobbing all over the place, rubbing against a pearl she had hidden inside the shell. That noise, it hadn't bothered her before since the pearl was wrapped in a cloth that prevented the little click she heard every step she took. Unfortunaly, she had lost the cloth and now the pearl was irritating her. Which was sort of rare, since Sahar was hard to make angry. She'd find a new cloth when she arrived at her new home. Until then, she'd bare with the sound, as irritating as it was.

CaliWolfe I can't wait until they are all together ^.^ While she was following the scent, she started to hear this faint noise from the direction she was headed in. It didn't sound like any animal she had heard out here before. Not even the tiny crabs she had seen as a pup once made a noise like this. As she got closer, the sound seemed to get louder. She crouched down, just in case whatever she was following wasn't friendly. She was not going to allow herself to be in a position to need rescued again. She peered through the grass and cocked her head to the side when she noticed another jackal ahead of her. That explained the familiar scent, but there was no way the noise was coming from the jackal!

LexThetaSigma So exciting!~ Oh wait, does that mean Dylis is going to wander back to Neirin and Inia with Sahar? Sahar's ears perked up before her head did. She sleeply looked in the general direction of Dylis. "Is someone there?" Even her voice had hints of drowziness in it. She could have swore she smelt something familiar. Maybe it was her imagination, but just in case, she'd try and look more presentable. That being said, she shook her head in attempts to wake herself up more. This tiredness would go away eventually, she just needed to wait until then, like she normally did.

CaliWolfe Yesss.~ Not yet. I don't think I'm going to have her find Neirin for a bit. Though I suppose she could. She noticed the black and red jackal look her way before seeing the shell necklace dangling from the other female's neck. So that could have been what was making the noise! "Hello!" she called out, not wanting to startle the jackal. It seemed like she hadn't completely woken up yet, so frightening her wouldn't be a very good idea.

LexThetaSigma All up to wait and see what happens huh? Oh, so there was someone. That someone happened to be a Jackal? Hmm, she didn't think to be honest that she had met a lot of her kind in her life so far. However back on topic, Sahar smiled in responce to the new stranger crouching in the grass. "Ah, Hello." Her childishness would kick in soon wouldn't it? That is, if by the time she finished this conversation she was awake and refreshed.

Once she realized that the animal's scent she had been following wasn't dangerous, she stepped closer to the black and red jackal. She sniffed and still smelled the other two scents, particularly around the other female. Whatever the scents belonged to couldn't be bad if they had a jackal hanging around them. "Hello," she said again, "What are you doing out here?" She hadn't thought there was anyone out her but herself. But then again, she had been wrong about that before.

"Exploring." Sahar said. "I'm trying to see if I can see this famous "pride rock" I keep hearing about." Ah, yes. Pride rock was one of the few things that let you know you were finally in the pridelands. If Sahar could only see it, she'd be confident there would be a lot less walking for her. "Your turn." She stretched her front legs foward. "What might you be doing out here?"

There was a pride that was a rock? She wondered what the other jackal was talking about involving a 'pride rock'. Dylis shook her head and moved on to the other female's question. "I was just out here exploring as well. Trying to make my way and maybe find a new home." she explained. She tilted her head to the side. "You're trying to find a rock pride?" she asked curiously.

Sahar giggled. "They're not a rock pride. But they use a big rock as their dens. You can see it from really far away, it's so big." She finished stretching and sat down. "As for why I'm trying to find it... Well, I'm going to go and join that pride. My friends and I that is." Sahar found it particularly interesting how much she knew about a pride she had never seen before. Well, mostly she knew was rumors of all things, but she was willing to believe in them... For now.

"Ooooh, that makes much more sense," Though a huge rock for all the dens? How big was this rock? She tried to imagine this huge boulder but that still a little hard to comprehend. Dylis still looked at the jackal with a slight curious expression. "Why?" she asked; granted she could understand joining a pride but what had made her choose that one that she hadn't even found yet. "What's special about it? Besides the rock."

Yes, what was so special about it? Well, "I's nice there. I mean, it's mostly grassland. Not too hot, not too cold. Lots of herds. There's also a lot of cubs there." Sahar looked foward to playing with cubs. She could be a nanny of sorts with the amount of cubs she wanted to play with. "Mostly lion's live there, but I'm sure there's other species too." 'Hopefully other jackals.' She thought to herself. As much fun as it would be to be surrounded by cubs, hanging out with her own species might be fun too.

Well, that was special, she figured. It was probably nice to have a lot of grass to lay out in and a lot of herds around to hunt. The cubs could be nice too, she supposed, at least they were around her size until they started growing up. When she mentioned that it was mostly lions, Dylis got curious again. "Are they nice lions?" she remembered the lion she had met the night before; if they were like him, it wouldn't be too bad living with them.
