So, question time again.

What are your opinions of living together before marriage?
(please note, this includes trying to abstain from sex, and probably being engaged whilst doing so as well. Imaging the ideal situation. Not just boyfriend and girlfriend).

So, basically, finding out if your relationship would work out if staying in the some house, invading each other's personal space etc. Leaving the toilet seat up or down ...

I personally don't see anything wrong with it.
I think it's a great way to see if you are truly compatible with one another.
I live with my boyfriend, we have intentions on getting married and all that jazz.
As long as you are in a very committed relationship that you want to make work and go places then i think it is ok.

doing it just because is a no, and doing it with someone you just met is a no.

I also find nothing wrong with it, as long as you are fully committed to each other and have every intention of getting married. I lived with my boyfriend for three years before we got married. Of course, I made him wait the whole 3 years to have sex. I wanted to be married before we had sex. And I'm glad we did wait...because two months after we got married, I ended up pregnant.

I initially tried to keep my fiance from moving in with me but it eventually came down to either he keeps living with his annoying roommate and can't find a job or he accepts the job he's offered here and live with me. In an ideal world, we would have gotten an apartment set up while we prepared our wedding but we're moving in next month and getting married next year.
Sometimes life forces you to choose between living together early, or possibly rarely ever seeing each other. And I'm glad we live together. We're much happier and we're still both virgins. We live just like a married couple does but without the sex and we're ok with that.
But we never planned to live together to see if we're compatible. I've never had any doubt we can run a household together.

I wouldn't marry someone without living with them first. Like most people, I plan on my first marriage being my only marriage, so you can bet that I wanted to be as sure as possible that I wanted to spend the rest of life with my partner before we got married. That includes being sure we could live together without strangling one another. It just seems like common sense to me.

My fiance and I were wondering the same thing, and we asked one of the youth pastors of the church we attend about it.
She advised against it because we should "give no place to the devil." And said that if we really wanted to move in together, that we should just get married sooner/have a small wedding because "if you're going to be living together, why not just get married?"
