Curiousity made Myrina wander around during the tree ceremony there were many, many lions about. It was quite nice actually and somewhat confusing. 'Where is shadow clan located?' She thought while biting her lip purple eyes scanning the crowd. The felines were mostly earthy tones such as herself and it really quite was a lovely sight to beheld. It was never this busy in the rogue lands...atleast not when she was about.
After sometime she mentally shrugged and decided to ask someone hoping that they would know. "Excuse me?" She turned to the closest feline near her. "Could...could tell me where the Shadow clan group is located? You see I've just joined and well-" She laughed. "I have NO clue where to go."

Chochokpi had been trying to dip into someone's conversation - politely, of course - when Myrina's voice chirped up; stealing away her attention. Shadow Clan? She knew Shadow Clan! She'd been born and raised there by her parents. How fortunate for this lady! "I think I can help you there." She called out politely, stepping away from the group she'd been trying to thread into and moving towards the earthy-toned female.
"I am Chochokpi Galvlati, daughter of Phib and Amedia. All of my family hail from Shadow Clan. It's a pleasure to be the first to welcome you." She dipped her head politely and then swept a paw outwards. "At the moment most of the members are spread all around. We won't be heading back to our migratory route until after the festival which means you'll get the chance to meet lions from other clans, too." It was an exciting time, though the white female had struggled to find someone to talk with long enough to kindle something more than a once-only encounter. A part of her had hoped to find her dashing, noble prince charming during the festival. But alas, there didn't seem to be any romance for her to find.
Perhaps next year.
"However, in the evening - once the festivities are over - our clan tends to regroup down there by that pillar of rock. They'll all be very excited to meet you, I am sure."

Myrina turned her head towards the female voice. "Oh," Before her was a lovely lioness of white and interesting pink patterns all over. "Truly? That sounds wonderful!" Myrina stepped closer not minding or noticing that she had currently walked into a mud puddle. "It is very nice to meet you Ch-chochokpi!" The name rolled around her tongue as she wasn't quite used to the difference. "I am Myrina and um my family--well I don't rightly know where they hail from as I was abandoned when I was little in the rogue lands." She wasn't too bitter about being left alone as she had luckily enough been taken care of by a family friend who had sadly passed away in her adolescent years. "Oh how neat! I've never seen such a wonderful thing! So many about and I see the rock huh?" She turned to see where Chocho was pointing.
"There certainly is a lot of earth around," Myrina invisioned all the fun things she could do to pass her time. 'Pandra would have loved it here.' The passing thought caused a quick frown upon her face. She had hoped her daughter was happy. The last time she had seen her was when Pandra was headed to Pridelands determined to become one of them. "This may sound silly but--" Myrina wandered even closer paws squishing in the earth. "--is the shadow clan, um, located in a dark place? Do you know the history behind it? I'm just curious, it's okay if you don't. I could learn on my own."

"Nice to meet you, too, Myrina." Her smile faded a little at the rest of the female's introduction, though. Abandoned when she was little? Left to fend for herself out there in the savage lands? "I'm sorry to hear that." She continued. "It is good that you managed to find your way here. You can find family with us and we will never leave you to fend for yourself." That was the beauty of being in a pride. The beauty of being Ela'wadiyi.
"Oh--" The white lioness was about to point out the mud when the other female continued to speak. "Um, yes. Yes, there is. With the recent rains I have to be careful where I tread everywhere I go now." She held up a dainty white paw and then set it gently back down on the trampled grass she stood on.
"Dark place? Oh no. No, not at all. The clan migrates in a wide path which takes us through all sorts of areas but none of them are particularly dark. To be honest with you I don't know too much about the history of the place. You would be best to ask one of the Subianis' for details. However, what I can tell you is that Shadows are esteemed hunters and huntresses. The Clan leader would tell you that the Shadows are as fleet and silent as a shadow and that is where the clan name derives from." And, in truth, very few of the Shadow Clan were dark of colour as the word 'shadow' might depict. "How are you at hunting?" She enquired politely.

"Well-" Myrina looked away from the other female before turning back to look her in the eyes. "-it was some time ago and they say time heals all wounds. Plus, atleast I had someone to look after me even if they weren't my parents. " Chocho's next works erased the shadow of sadness from her eyes. "Family huh? I like that and I am glad I made the made my way here. It seems for once I made the right choice in life."
Myrina was amused by the other female’s mannerisms. It would seem that walking or playing in the mud wasn't for everyone. “I see, well I don’t tend to worry about where I walk. It is quite fun. You should try it sometime and we could puddle jump. Plus I heard it was good for the fur, at least for a little while you would have of course have to wash it off in water. ” Myrina gave the other female a cheeky wink. “You only live once you know.”
She stepped closer to listen as Chocho discuss information about the clan. “Huh, I see alright I will have to find this Subianis’ for more information at a later date. And as for how I am at hunting… well I would say acceptable. I haven’t gone hungry yet and that is the main thing, but I suppose it is different now as I am part of a pride. I am guessing we would hunt for all of the pride? Or is it all independent in that aspect? Oh! Are we allowed to roam around and if so you willing to show me?”

"You certainly did make a good choice." Chochokpi gave a happy chirp. "Both of my parents were originally from outside of this land but they love it here. It's hard not to love it." Maybe a biased opinion but the white female clearly believed it. "I just know you're going to fit in and have a wonderful time."
The little female, however, looked less convinced about 'puddle jumping'. Her head tucked backwards, ears pinning against her head. "Well...I don't know. You can do that but I think I might just watch." At a distance. A great distance. She might get splashed if her new-found friend got carried away and that wouldn't do at all. "Watching can be fun, too."
She nodded. "Yes, we all hunt for our Clan, that's right. It also means you get to be part of a hunting party, which might take a bit of getting used to if you've been a solo hunter." Chocho smiled. "There's nothing quite like hunting with up to a dozen others, all crouched in the grass, waiting for the signal, working together to bring down prey to take home." It got her heart pounding just thinking about it. Her first true hunt had been quite the experience and it had stayed with her. Probably would forever.
"This is where we gather at our festivals." She continued. "This place here. The rest of the time we separate off into our own smaller Clans and being our migration. Clan members don't tend to wander too far alone but you may pretty much tread wherever you please. I'd be happy to show you around, though, we'll be returning back here this same time next year for the next festival so it might be good to get familiar with it."
[sorry for the delay hon, I seem to have left this RP off of my in-progress list]

Myrina smiled at the response she was getting from the other lioness. It felt good when another affirmed her decisions. "It seems you have the same opinion as your parents which is nice to see. Thank you! I will try my best not only to fit in but also help the pride with all that I can!" A cheeky grin came out before she could stop it from appearing, it was the normal response she received after mention jumping in puddles. Understandable as everyone had their own quirks. "If watching is what you prefer well then to each their own-" She was about to continue teasing but then the mentioning of 'hunting party' caught her attention.
Myrina titled her head and tried to imagine the prospect of working together. "I'll take your word for it then on the team work business. Usually I did all the hunting not only for myself but for my children when they were younger." Being with the other female was calming her fears and doubts, it sure was nice having someone to chat with. The thought of being with a pride and never being alone, well unless she wanted some privacy, was... overwhelming. But! In a good way. "I think I will have to take you up on that offer of you being guide! My goodness there are so many here! I look forward to meeting everyone." Mentally she hoped to find herself a nice lion to settle down with. One that would love her just as much as she loved him."So, what do you feel like doing now?"

The white female bobbed her head enthusiastically. "It would be my pleasure." And she pondered a moment on the next question before responding: "Well, if you're eager to meet some of your new clan brethren, I can take you down to where some might be gathered and introduce you? Thankfully Shadow Clan is one of the smaller clans, but not by much. But don't worry. You'll get to know everyone in no time. Having surnames helps indicate family, too. On the mother's side, anyway. Only the females pass their surnames onto their children, you see. And they stay in the clan they were born into for life. For the males it is slightly different. If their mate doesn't dwell within the same clan they must marry into her clan."
She paused and offered the other a smile. "I can tell you more on our way to see the others, if you like?"

"Oh that is interesting," Myrina smiled with pleasure usually it was the males. Nice to see a little female hertiage getting passed down. She bit her lip though as a thought occurred. She didn't have a last name to give, it was something she may have to mention later on in future conversations. It seemed the festivities were somewhat slowing down now and the line of those waiting to be acknowledged into the pride was less in size. "Sure! Lead on then and I shall follow you!" Myrina nodded with enthusiasm. It looked like everything was working out now for the better.

Chocho gave her newfound friend a small nod and, with a delicate smile, strode out towards the area she had suggested, moving as lightly as her tiny frame depicted she would. And, as they made their way, those close by would be able to hear the chime of her voice as she began to speak about the importance and significance of marriage within the Ela'wadiyi.
And, it was more than clear, from the way she described it that, someday, she wanted to be swept off her paws, too.
Some day.
