The Heart of the Hollowed Out TreeType: Normal Leader: Nyoko Speicher Battle Style: Each fighter is allowed 2 Pokemon. If one faints during the first battle, the opponent may send out their second Pokemon to continue. Badge awarding is based on defeat of the Gym Leader's Two Pokemon, or exceptional performance on rare special occasions. (NEVER count on this. Come here to win, or you'll be sent packing)Pokemon:  Lv. 14 ♀  Lv. 16 ♀In one of the largest trees in Paysage Village hides the Paysage Gym. By steppping inside the Hollowed out trunk, one would see the lights go up around the battle arena. It appears to be a rather basic set up, but one that fills the needs of the first gym just fine. There is plenty of room for spectators to gather around the inner arena safely and cheer on their friends as they fight for their first Coria League Badge.
As one may adjust to the lights beaming down on them, they will notice a somewhat young woman walking across the stage, extending a hand in warm greeting....
"Hello. My name is Nyoko..."
She appears to be just a tad on the quiet side, and very polite. One may wonder if she's really their opponent... but the badge on the right of her shirt doesn't lie.

"Oh?" a gentle voice said curiously as she raised her head. The young woman had been kneeling down to brush the tail of what appeared to be her friend Eevee. She began to stand up from the task and walk across the arena as she brushed the hair out of her face. As she got closer she held her hand out in greeting,
"You're in the right place. My name's Nyoko." She said as she hoped to be giving the visitor a handshake. She then took it back whether the shake was accepted or not, and rubbed at the back of her head a bit as she continued. A bit of light caught something on the right of her chest and shined, revealing quite clearly the badge of the Paysage Gym and what would mark her right to lead it.
"Anyways, I guess you came here looking for me. I'm the new gym leader!" She smiled, but then paused, taking away from the heat of a new challenge for just a moment as her Eevee began to walk over. It seemed curious itself of the new trainer talking to it's friend. Nyoko leaned over to pick it up and hold it in her arms, petting it as she went on,
"Before we dive right in, why don't you tell me about yourself. What brings you here to the middle of the forest. I understand young trainers come seeking out gym battles all of the time, but people rarely stop to ask just why. What goals do you have in mind for you and your Pokemon?"
She seemed serious, and quite interested. Her nature was very calm as she stood there looking down to her Eevee, brushing the fur down it's back in comfort. Was this girl for real?♀ lv.14 ♀ lv.16

Ailish looked at her then smiled and answered "My name is Ailish" She then laughed a little bit "I am here to challenge all Gym Leaders with my pokemon to teach them Team work and to follow my family in their foot steps" She brought out a pokeball that had ancient writing on it "Because of this pokemon in the pokeball this is the real reason i travel" she had stated not wanting to sound rude or anything "But me and my Lydia and Leon will learn from one another on how we can work together and defeat the Coria Elites"

The woman smiled at this looking up. The trainer was already quite impressive in her eyes. If everything she had just said were true, Nyoko saw no reason at all that they wouldn't find victory in her gym. With a quiet nod at the girl's answers, she let her Eevee go as it hopped down from her arms, then looked back up at the leader. Nyoko turned her back to the young trainer as she began to walk away... until she stopped only at the edge of the arena and turned...
"Well Miss Ailish, I can see you have some very strong goals set for yourself and your team. I have no doubt you'll show me how they hold true as we battle." The Leader suddenly lowered her head as a smile grew on her face, and a glint caught the corner of her eye. With that, the judge came over to announce the rules,
"This will be a two on two battle. Each trainer will select one Pokemon to start and will continue with their second until both have fainted or are pronounced the winner."
Excited, Nyoko's Eevee ran over and took on it's battle-ready stance infront of it's friend. It was beginning to look just as determined as herself.
"Now, show me what you've got!"♀ lv.14 ♀ lv.16

Ailish smiled with a radiant smile "Alright Leon your up first!" she had said excited as this would be her first ever Gym Battle so she through out a Pokeball that released a Shinx "Ok Leon this is Miss Nyoko and her Eevee we are going to Battle here alright?" she had said kneeling down petting the Cat Pokemon as he took the attention and then rushed to center-stage "Remember Leon this is for fun" he then growled a bit in excitement as he finally would get to battle another trainer

The leader and her Eevee seemed to only have their smiles grow at this. This is exactly the type of treatment they hoped all trainers would realize their Pokemon deserved...
"Begin!" The ref called out, and Eevee yipped with excitement as the lights focused on the arena and a more serious air began to surround everyone.
"A first move can say a lot about a trainer," Nyoko began to call out, "tell me what's on your mind!" she insisted the challenger went first. ♀ lv.14 ♀ lv.16

This only made her smile to show this Gym Leader her Families training as Coordinators "Ok Leon we will try and combined moves" Leon seems to nod in excitement meaning he might do more damage "Ok Sweetie lets try to mix Ice Fang and Fire Fang together and chomp down on her Eevee" Leon's top fangs caught on fire as his bottom fang frosted over as he rushed towards the eevee to land his attack

The leader blinked, a bit surprised to see trainers at this point in their journey already learning to combine their moves. It was hesitation that would cost her and her partner, even though her Eevee had been exposed to similar situations before.
"You know what to do!" She called out as the Eevee braced itself to Endure the hit. Though it would have been as effective if the trainer had called out for it to detect what was coming, it would still keep the mix of energy about to hit it from causing a complete collapse. The Pokemon cried out as there was a rather direct hit of heated and electrified teeth sinking in past it's coat.
"Hang in there Eevee!" she cried! And the Pokemon with a wince, broke free and shook it off. The expression on its face clearly showed it didn't like the hit it just took, but it would have to fight on.
"Alright, let's try to avoid something like that again... Let's whip up some sand fast!"
A little hurt from the hit so far, Eevee was a bit slower than it usually would be, but still fast. It whipped up some sand, attacking it's foe with the grains in hopes of reducing its field of vision.
"Follow it up!" She called out, as Eevee was prepared to dash after it's dust throw on the field to launch a tackle at the nearby Shinx...♀ lv.14 ♀ lv.16

"My family were also Coordinators i was taught how to implement combining moves into a fight as well!" she had said as soon as the sand had hit the shinx she had dropped a little "Dont worry hand in there Leon!" she had yelled in a hesitation but when she saw the Tackle attack she had told Leon what to do "Tackle back my sweet" she had said as the Shinx ran after the Eevee he missed causing the rushing Eevee to miss him as well "Good job Leon now use Night Slash" Leon ran up to the Eevee and used the Shady Slash not knowing if he hit it or not due to him being blinded

"Careful!" Nyoko shouted out. It was a close call as Eevee felt some of the hairs on its fur cut, but the hit overall was not a clean hit.
"That's it! Let's cheer things up a bit shall we?" She started to smile, as the Eevee nodded calling back to the trainer in acknowledgement before jumping towards Shinx, readying to tickle it's opponent.Tesugare Ryuu Tag, this was my last post for the night though. It's been an odd day and getting worse as it gets late. Definitely will be active again tomorrow after my work shift, if not in the morning hours before it. lv.14 ♀ lv.16

Leon had fallen from the move and so was susceptible to the tickling which had lowered his Defense and Attack "heh it is ok Leon" she had said the pulled out her Piccolo from her little side back and stated playing a song (Happy song) which almost seemed to liven the two pokemon up "Now lets see if we can Win this my Friend" Leon jumped up happily and seemed ready to fight "Ok Leon lets try and use Thunder Fang" she had said with the Sand still in his eyes it wouldn't have been a guarantee that it would have hit but it was a bit easier since the Eevee was right there

"Watchout!" Nyoko cried, but there wasn't too much she could do for her Pokemon on the field. That first hit had stuck wit the Eevee so far in the battle. It wasn't a surprise to either of them when the teeth sunk back in, re-electrifying the Pokemon. It cried out with no time to endure, and fell to the ground dazed.
"Ack, Eevee!" Though she knew things like this were bound to happen running gyms, it still didn't stick all that well with her whenever she saw a teammate fall... The leader's face began to fill with worry, and just a tad bit of revenge fell in to her eyes as she accepted defeat of the first round.
"Eevee is unable to battle. Bring out your next Pokemon." The ref called out. Nyoko gave an understanding nod as she pulled out Eevee's Pokeball,
"Return! You did well... please get some rest." Now wanting to give the trainer a taste of what she could really do, the second Pokeball came out,
"Show them what you've got, Delcatty!"
The Pokemon cried as it came out, taking on a quick battle ready stance. It was time to find out if this coordinator really had what it took to take home the badge...
"You've done well, Ailish. But now it's show time!"
"Let the battle continue!" Declared the ref...♀ lv.14 ♀ lv.16

Alish looked at Leon as he did a back flip in his victory "Hehe dont get to excited Leon we still have that really powerful looking Delcatty" she had said as Leon bared his Fangs at the delcatty then she looked over at the Gym Leader "Thank you Nyoko same for you and i hope your ready~!" she had sang a little revealing her Irish twist in her voice, Leon took a readied stance waiting for the delcatty

She smiled, seeing that it was her turn to make the first move. She would make it count.
"Alright Delcatty, how about you show off your wonderful voice to the young songstress." she said, getting the idea from the slight singing Ailish had hinted to in her excitement. As the Pokemon gave a quick happy nod of acknowledgement, it began to sing. It was soft, gentle song... with only a hint of tension and sadness. The voice rang beautifully around the arena. Apparently the wood of the tree and the shape it was hollowed out in made for some grand acoustics! The leader listened carefully, having taught the Pokemon this song herself so that the effects would not get to her so easily, and she watched the opponent in strong anticipation of what may happen next.♀ lv.14 ♀ lv.16
