I am going to the Otami ruins to make contact with the Tiny Terrors. I will be posing as one of them to learn their culture, gain their trust, and eventually... I will be the supreme ruler of the tribe, and have an unstoppable army of tiny semi-naked midgets to do my bidding.
I don't know when, or if, I will return... Yours truly, Lokun
Mission report 1: My studies of the Tiny Terrors continues, and I feel like I have been accepted by the tribe. At first sight they tried to kill me. However, their continued failed attempts to do so seemed to make them believe that I might be some kind of immortal deity from a lost religion. To show their respect, they're now only stabbing me a little. When they think I'm not prepared.
Tomorrow, I believe they want me to meet their Witch Doctor. I must make a good impression to assure my safety in the tribe... My life might very well depend on this.
Picture of our first meeting. By the time I'm writing this, my legs has almost stopped bleeding...

Mission report 2 I’ve been trying to gain further knowledge about the Tiny terrors' language. I have only been able to distinguish 5 words in their vocabulary and I find it remarkable how they can communicate with each other with such a sparse terminology. Further research however, proves they can’t. Most of the words seem to only fill the function of battle cries. Especially “yaoc”, which is by far the most frequently used word, seems to have over a dozen different meanings from “Stop” and “Don’t” to “My knee is bleeding” and “I respect you but please get off my property”.
Tiny terrors don’t seem to have any concept of using words as means to compliment others.
Though most of their (five) words are quite similar, the word “quinyaochihuaz” stand alone in their language as the only one that doesn’t start with “yao”. I theorize that this must be the name of a god or deity in their savage beliefs and also, as I think I safely can conclude, their name for me. I will claim this name for myself for the purpose of this research.
List of words in the Tiny Terror language: Yaoc! Yaotihua! Yaomiquico! Yaotlahueliloc! Quinyaochihuaz!
I have finally been granted to see the Witch Doctor. But on my journey there, I learned something new about the tiny terrors. To be able to meet with this man of mysteries, my guides and I had to cross water. I discovered to my great surprise that tiny terrors, contrary to my theories, do not fear water.
… But frankly I think they should.
Since they apparently neither know how to swim, nor do they seem to float very well. I have yet to conclude if these suicidal tendencies should be interpreted as fearlessness, poor sense of self-preservation, or if they simply lack the brains to understand the consequences of drowning.
To show my respect and to gain his trust, I greeted the Witch Doctor with a strong and confident “Yaoc!”. I must have made an impression, because he started to eagerly share his knowledge with me. However, there must have been some kind of misunderstanding considering that my vocabulary in the tiny terror language are limited to 5 words of which I barely understand the meaning of even one of them, and thus much of the information and knowledge of the Witch Doctor was lost to me. The Witch Doctor did not seem to know this though, as he kept talking to me for two hours, interpreting my lack of questions as a sign of silent admiration and interest.
There are so much more to learn from this people. I can hardly wait to get back to my research!
Yours truly, Quinyaochihuaz (formerly known as Lokun)

... And here I thought the word yao may have been a simple noun, where possible meaning may be/include: Enemy, prey, living, meat being, outsider, meal and/or weakling. I exclude the possibility of it meaning duel, as they've been using the term too frequently when attacking in groups.

Very interesting observation! I'll definitely include it in my research. biggrin
Tiny Terrors do tend to use all of these words when attacking in groups, so it is possible that "Yaotihua" and such are really strategic battle tactics that they call out to each other to gain the upper hand over their enemy. What supports this theory is that you never really hear the scouts shout these words untill they've fetched the rest of their guards.

Mission report 4
I’ve been trying to determine the tiny terrors' diet. Though I rarely see them leave their posts for breaks, I have to assume that they need some kind of nourishment to stay alert. Therefore, I’ve been experimenting with some native flowers and herbs in an effort to come up with a decent meal. Unfortunately, I’ve so far failed to find a flower or bush in this forsaken place that is not poisonous or attempts to eat your hand when you try to pick it.
My own food is long gone, and in my desperation for something to eat (that won’t leave me with fever and boils on my tongue) I’ve made a new discovery...! Some of my tribe members have made me aware that the colorful birds in Otami (also referred to as “Lilocochiloloccoco”) are very tasteful, both in looks and as dinner. These fat red birds roasted over an open fire, together with some newts, makes a perfectly healthy meal that should sustain me for a while.
A drawing of our meal
They also offered me some strange-looking berries which they seem to use in order to get in contact with the spirits. I strongly suspect they contain some kind of hallucinogen, and I will therefore keep my consummation of them to a minimum (though it has to be said, they are quite delicious).
The kindness I’ve been showed so far by the tiny terrors continues to amaze me, and even though they still jab me with spears I know they consider me family.
I’ve also recently come to realize that the biggest obstacle in my research is nothing less than my fellow Gaians... Their repeated attempts to kill members of my tribe cause me great problems and make it almost impossible for me to study them properly. I can hardly even begin to understand the ignorance and cruelty that I’ve witnessed… I’ve seen Gaians coldheartedly butcher half a dozen tiny terrors at sight without the poor creatures doing anything to aggravate them but to gently greet them to the ruins by stabbing their kneecaps with spears.
I must spread the word of the tiny terrors to enlighten people about their hardships so that we can all live in peace. I will return shortly with more to report after I have consulted with the spirits.
My attempts to harmonize the relationship between Gaians and tiny terrors have so far failed. Repeatedly.
I had never expected such intolerable reactions from my own people. Every time I requested other Gaians to stop killing the tiny terrors, I was met with confusion, as if I was joking. And believe it or not, some people even got angry…! I can still hear the dying screams of the members of my tribe… Sadistically cut down with Hack or sliced to tiny dices with Slash.
I took this picture of a heavily valued treasure they seemed to be guarding at the Blood Tree. In contrary to the most crates and chests in Otami, this one seems special to the tiny terrors, always having at least four members of the tribe and one Witch Doctor guarding it at all times. Even I was sent in as an extra guard once.
Imagine my dread when I came back the next morning and found this…
]
The whole guard, slaughtered. There was nothing left from the gruesome scene, except from this… The crate shattered into pieces, and this monster proudly exposing himself next to it. Killing an entire party of five. All this for a box filled with orbs, gold, perhaps a spearhead or two, and greed.
That’s it. I’ve had enough. I’ve decided to not be part of this community of murderers and thieves. I am not going to just watch my innocent tribe members getting abused by the primitive people of Gaia! I hereby resign from society to live with the wise and much less savage people of Otami, the kneestabbing cult of love and knowledge. This place is my home now, and the tiny terrors are my family.
My first declaration as the ruler of the Tiny Terrors, is to lead my new kin into a war against my old kin. And we will win… And it will be glorious!
(The one exposing his belly to the left is Tiny Tim. Tim likes to be Special. Tim is a jerk...)
Quinyaochihuaz, Goddess of Otami, Queen of the Tiny Terror rebellion, (Never known as Lokun)
And never!! I shall protect my tiny terrors with my life against the cruel and primitive Gaians that keep harassing them! ninja I'm not going to rest until Otami is free from thieves and murderers!
>.< Hmm, rebellion against Gaians eh? Why that is quite intriguing I must say. Might I suggest the use of lethal force? They're quite hardy after all...and for the right price, I could improve your chances. >) Think about it...
