Camelot was tired, to say the least. He was sitting on a bench and wondered if the night was ever going to end. It seemed like an eternity, like he had been out for hours on end, but after finding a store with a clock he could see he realized he'd only been patrolling for two hours.

He was already bruised and tired. He'd run into three youma so far and imagined there would be many more. It capped a strange sort of insurgence after a drought, as if the rain and bad weather that had washed in over the city drove the youma out of their hiding places.

Maybe they were getting drenched and flooded, like Camelot was.

Or maybe he was just tired of this miserable night and was being a little bitter.

He did love his duties, and he believed in them. When he saw a shadow moving he went toward it on instinct, not shirking his task though he felt like going home and curling up with his wife. Instead, he was stalking a youma into a dark alley, and ensuring that it did not get a chance to hurt any civilians at a later time.

Even as the clouds above rumbled and rain began to fall. Again.

Shangri-La frowned slightly feeling worn. He'd barely been back in Destiny City a week and in that week a lot had happened. He'd come back to the crazy city to find his sister and instead found the war she'd been fighting more first hand having been attacked by some creature, gained a weird reflex hammer and been forced to run for his life.

Needless to say he was avoiding the creatures, what had she called them. He was pretty sure it was something with a y, but he couldn't recalled and couldn't be overly bothered to find out. No Shang wasn't currently concerned with that, no he was more concerned with where his sister had disappeared off to. He really couldn't believe she hopped a plane from England and was now no where to be found.

He saw something move into the shadows down the alleyway and felt the stronger aura from whoever it was. He headed toward it, a frown marring his face as rain began to fall and he found himself getting wet.

"Hello," he called out not really willing to move into the alley, "is anyone there?"

Camelot felt another Knight in the area, a Page, and turned in the direction of the voice. The youma he had been chasing leaped by him, powerful hind legs rocketing it forward with surprising speed. It shoved by Camelot, raking its claws across his shoulder and using him as a spring board as it went.

He nearly fell down, but got his shield out to support himself before he did so.

"Get down!" he yelled at the page, moving to grab the youma by it's fluffy tail. It was somewhere between a large cat and a large dog, snarling and snapping and all claws. Camelot was very thankful for his armor, or he might have been missing an arm at that point.

These kinds of youma tended to plague him. Wild animal-like ones, that were vicious and definitely mean.

Were there fluffy bunny youma? Why couldn't he run into them? But then, he likely wouldn't have the heart to dust it.

"I've got it," he said, through gritted teeth, bracing himself and holding the youma by its tail as best he could. He did not recognize the knight, but he didn't have the time for a good introduction. And it was raining harder, which made it difficult just to talk and be heard.

Shang did back away at the warning, but he hadn't been close enough for the youma to get him. It hardly matter, he wasn't entirely certain he trusted the knight to keep a good hold on the youma in the rain, he kept his distance, not feeling bad that he was less likely to be mauled by a demon animal.

Okay well that wasn't entirely true, he did feel a little bad since the knight was keeping him from being mauled. It would probably be a lot harder to find his sister from a hospital bed. "You sure you've got it. Sure you don't need any help. Looks hard to hold, not that you aren't doing a splendid jobs because you're doing great!"

He kinda stood there, in the rain, not really coming to any closer to the knight and the beast. This being magically thing was going to take some getting use to. It was one thing to patch up other people and suspect, it was another to patch up yourself and know something tried to kill you and would very likely try it again.

"I've got it!"

He did, as long as it remained intent on running away or attacking the new Page. Of course it did not. As soon as the thought entered Camelot's head, the resistance on the tail stopped and he looked at the youma as it turned around to face him, growling, its tail still in Camelot's hands.

Camelot blinked at it, then let go. He took a few steps back, bringing his shield up in front of him.

"Ah... well... maybe I don't have it... quite as much as I thought I did..."

It leaped on the Knight of Earth, and he let out a surprised yell. He wasn't sure why he was surprised: the youma had made its intentions very obvious, and the fact that it was attacking now was not really out of the blue. He was the one that had pulled its tail. He fell backwards and landed hard with the youma on top of him. It had its arm in its mouth, though his armor was protecting him at least.

This was far too familiar to him. Struggling, he tried to kick the youma off of him but he had no luck. It was heavy.

Shang was happy to hear the other had the monster, but that relief was short live seeing the beast decided to turn on it's captor making the other fall over in a heap with the beast on top of him. Shang's frown deepened and he shook his head, knowing what he was about to do was probably going to hurt.

"Hang on," she shouted before trying to take some sort of stance and charging forward to attempt to knock the beast off the knight. Of course in the rain that was easier said then done and Shang slide and tripped just before he would have leapt at the beast sending him flying into the side of the beast into a tangled heap of page and beast.

"That didn't go quite as planned," he groaned not entirely aware of the beast proximity to him as he started to get up.

Rain complicated everything, and Camelot decided that he absolutely hated fighting youma in it. Clear, nice weather was the only time to reasonably hunt youma. Unfortunately, it was not something he could control and he couldn't just ignore patrol during the fall and winter just because the weather was bad.

Though it would be nice.

Youma smelled weird in the rain.

"It worked well enough," Camelot said in relief as the youma was pulled off of him. He moved to his feet and moved to put his shield down on the ground in front of the two of them, since neither were fully on their feet and the youma was rounding on them. He grabbed the Page's arm and tugged him down behind the large shield.

"Tarra Viridis Crystal Power!' He called, and a beam of light burst from the shield. Surprise and pain, though no real force, knocked the youma back from them and gave them enough room to stand and maybe quickly plan an attack.

"I can handle this thing, I think. I'm sorry to have dragged you into this!"

Shang nodded quickly when Camelot stated his tactic worked even though he made a clumsy mess of it, "good," he managed to get out before he was tugged behind a very large shield. Shang definitely appreciated the help and quickly righted himself before finding himself wide eyed looking from the shield to Camelot and back again.

He peered around it to see the youma was definitely momentarily distracted. "Much better than I could," he spouted with a frown, but it was true. His reflex hammer wasn't exactly weapon worthy and he sincerely hoped that there was something he did not know about it.

"Don't worry about it. I wasn't going to let it eat you, if that is even what it does. Just tell me what I can do to help. Two is better than one right, especially in the rain."

Shang looked to the recovered youma once more and back to Camelot ready to help where he could.

Camelot was very much a fan of his rainbow crystal, at least when it came to fighting youma. He did not have to feel guilty about hurting things, because he knew that youma were far too gone to Chaos to ever be restored. They were already dead, essentially zombies in his mind.

The only kind thing to do for them was dust them, and put them out of their mindless, wicked existence as Chaos embodied.

"I've been doing this a while, and I've got a few tricks," he said, by way of encouragement. He was only half good at this because he had been doing it so long. And because he had his crystal, of course. He moved to attack the youma, trying to think of something Shang could do. But for now, it might be best just to have him stay off to the side.

He took a breath.

"I think I can dust it, then we'll talk about it," he laughed. He smashed his shield into the youma's head, hoping the solid hit would be enough to destroy it. It certainly fell, after skittering in an effort to get away from Camelot, collapsing at Shang's feet.

Shang nodded at Camelot, pretty content to stay out of the way. He wasn't exactly a fighter, he knew he would be fighting in this war, but more than anything he knew he would be on the site right away to tend to any injuries that needed tended to. It was a relief to know he played a more active role in keeping his sister safe and if it cut back further the very little time he had currently.

He watched Camelot take his shield to the youma and couldn't help but to give an appraising look as the youma turned to dust, well soggy mush, after it fell at his feet. He had to say it was definitely a lesson in this whole situation. It would be probably be better for him to try to destroy them if he could instead of running.

He looked to Camelot offering his hand and pleasant smile, "Shangri-la of Pluto. It's nice to meet you, circumstances and rain aside." He hat drooped slightly on his head making him pull it off for his hair was already wet. "I can't imagine being wet in all that is very comfortable."

"Camelot, of Earth," he said, with a smile. He chuckled and breathed a very heavy sigh of relief.

It was like a wave washing over him, his adrenaline fading almost as soon as the battle ended. It was a familiar sensation, and he was glad that neither of them had been hurt in the fight. He was very used to youma now, but some of them could just get wily and get the upper hand. If only for a moment.

So, even as a Knight, he was always glad to have company with him.

Though he agreed about the rain thing. He really wished it was not raining.

"The rain sort of clings to everything. I feel like I'm wearing much heavier armor than I really am. But that is alright, I can manage it. And it's always nice to power down and dry off." He laughed and shook his head, running his hand through his very wet hair.

"Well, that was a job well done, I think!"

Shang nodded at the introduction. Camelot thus far was the first person he met that was a knight, like him, or sort of like him as Camelot was obviously stronger than him and has a fancy weapon.

He frowned when Camelot mentioned clinging, as he had clinging everywhere, but he was relieved not have any armor and felt a little bad for Camelot to feel heavier because he was all wet.

"I glad to hear that. It was the first one of those, uh what did she call them, i can't remember, but it was the first one that I've had a hand in defeating, albeit a small hand in it. I've mostly been running away from them," he said nervously rubbing the back of his neck.

"Well ... I'm betting you would like to head home and get tried off. I don't want to keep you, myself as well. I doubt there is much out in this. Maybe I'll see you again soon. It's nice to know someone else in this other than Maia, not that I have seen her in a couple weeks," he said frowning slightly.

"Youma," he said, of the monster they had just fought. It was not a common name, really, and not a word he had heard before encountering one and meeting his first senshi savior. Everything had started with a youma, he mused to himself softly.

He supposed that was common with a lot of people. They were a big problem in the city.

"Most aren't too bad, but if you don't feel comfortable fighting them then I don't recommend putting yourself in danger. Still, they need to be defeated, and I try to dust any that I can find."

He sighed and nodded his head at the suggestion of going home, a warm flush moving through him at the promise of warmth and comfort. It would be so nice to sit down on the couch with Kyndall and Dogby and just watch a movie. Have a beer. Not be drenched by rain or covered in youma dust.

It was the small things.

"Well, if you want to contact me, just come by the library. I would be open to talking, or helping you it you need it." He noted that he knew Maia, and smiled. He had been wondering about her, though news that he hadn't seen her recently either was a bit disappointing.

"Well, anyway. It was nice meeting you and I'm sure we'll meet again." He intended on it: he wanted to pitch the idea of joining the Knights of Destiny.

"Youma," Shang nodded storing the word away. He didn't want to forget it again, especially in case he ran into someone newer that him at some point.

Shang was rather happy to hear that he didn't have fight youma, but he felt as though he should attempt it more often. Camelot said it needed to be done and he obviously knew what he was doing ."I will try."

Shang looked slightly confused at the library comment, but nodded none the less. He figured it was just Camelot's area or something. He would have never though that Camelot was the librarian that ran's the library.

"Until next time Camelot," Shang gave as parting words before running off needing to get back home to check on his mother hoping his sister had decided to stop hiding from them.
