So, I bought Black, largely to get Keldeo, but have barely started. I've been trying to finish up getting the extra legendaries on Pearl, so I can toss all that on SoulSilver and par down my Pokemon games (I have too many half-finished ones!!). I like SoulSilver better anyway since it has the Pokewalker, tho I'm only like half through it.
I was just thinking to myself though, with how long it takes me to complete Pokemon games, why am I bothering to play Black first? Why not just skip ahead since it seems like the rewards for playing the first one are minor?

So, should I just trade in Black (after I transfer off Keldeo) and get B/W 2? Is there any real reason I'd regret skipping Black?

A couple questions (ok more than a couple)-

At what point can I transfer Pokemon from Black to B/W 2? (I just want to steal Keldeo and a starter and then get rid of it).

Is it really worth having played B/W first, or is it really just minor story stuff?
Do you have to have completed the older game to transfer old Pokemon to B/W 2? Do you have to have beaten B/W 2 to do so?

I got the Pokemon Dream Radar, some questions about that-

Do you have to have caught the legendary in the game to have it show up for capture in DR? (I know you can get the extra legendaries from having the corresponding game cart inserted. For instance I have SoulSilver, but never got to the point of catching Lugia.)

Can the extra legendaires only show up once per cartridge, or can I get one and let my friend use my cart so one shows up in theirs too? (I know you can only find and transfer them once per copy of Pokemon Dream Radar and B/W 2, but can both of us use my SoulSilver cart to find Lugia?)
