Age: 9 years old Personality: He's a good kid, really. CJ's just a little bit naive, and he wants his father to be proud of him. So, you know, give him a break when he tries to get you to "submit to the new world order", ok? History: Carl Junior's dad was once employed by Team Rocket. Granted, he was just a grunt, and he never really enjoyed the whole "let's steal Pokemon" gig, but when you're a young man with a young wife and want to provide the best for her...sometimes, you do bad things. CJ was born sometime after the local branch was disbanded, but he's grown up listening to his dad's slightly inflated stories about being a bad guy. So CJ wants to be a bad guy, too. He's just not very good at it. In Cuthlhu's Life: Carl Sr. and the Mrs. got Cthulhu for their son as a birthday gift. The young boy was more than thrilled to have his own Pokemon, and quickly sent about to giving the Totodile the BEST NAME EVAR for a future world leader's best friend. Habika the Chansey - Habika seemed nice enough. Her trainer was kinda whiney, but CJ can be sometimes too. Oh well, she taught Cthulhu and his trainer a nifty game with shiny marbles. Lucas the Raichu - Processing ... ... ...

He didn't know where he was going. All he knew was that at one point, he was outside playing at the DayCare Center, and the next he was taken off in a PokeBall to somewhere different. It was the way of the world; the Totodile had been at the Center for a while now, and had witnessed many an abandoned Pokemon disappear, never to be seen again. Some of the residents were convinced that they went to horrible places, where Pokemon were beaten or abused. He couldn't see that happening, though. The Lady and the Man who ran the Center were so nice and took nothing but the best care of all the Pokemon who stayed with them, regardless or how long they were there; he just couldn't believe that they would send Pokemon off to their doom.
Just estimating, he was inside the PokeBall for about a day. You can't really tell time when you're locked away - you just know that after a while you start to feel forgotten, which is when a Pokemon's devotion to their trainer tends to wain. He hadn't even started to feel cramped yet when all of a sudden, the world exploded with colors and an excited cheer.
"My very own Pokemon! Thanks, Dad!"
"Well, you're old enough now...figured it was about time."
The Totodile blinked, looking around with mild confusion. There were balloons and streamers, and a big sign strung across an archway proclaiming 'HAPPY BIRTHDAY CJ!' Turning around, the Pokemon was greeted with a young boy kneeling on the ground, a huge smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye.
A twinkle, the Totodile would learn to understand, that meant the boy was thinking.
"Hey Boy!" the brown-haired child said excitedly. "Welcome to the family!"
The Totodile's maw broke into a huge grin of his own, and he wiggled happily in his place, clawed hands clapping.
"Oh man, I knew they wouldn't send me somewhere nasty!" he cheered (though, to the humans, it only sounded like the Pokemon repeating his name), waddling over and jumping to the waiting arms of his new trainer.
CJ hugged his very own Totodile close, speaking softly into his ear, "You and I are gonna do awesome things."
"So, what are you going to name him, CJ?" asked a man, who had CJ's same face and green, green eyes.
"How about Waldo?" suggested a woman, looking a little worn but happy for her son, who had the same color hair that she did.
"No, it's gotta be a great name. A name fit for the greatest and most powerful Pokemon in all the world!" the boy said with determination...looking down at the Totodile, who met his smile with big, bright eyes.
"I'm gonna call you Cthulhu."

Ewww! GIRLS! A RP between Cthulhu, Habika, and their trainers There was a jungle gym, and that's all that mattered...because what are jungle gyms good for? Why, being evil lairs and hide-outs, of course. Which is exactly what a young boy with brown hair was doing at this moment. He'd gotten a hold of some colored chalk, and was busy drawing "Keep Out!" signs and big X's and skulls everywhere.
"Muahaha!" he cackled, pretending to twirl a evil mustache at the corner of his lip. "This will be my greatest evil plan EVER!"
There was a single Pokeball attached to his hip...but he wasn't paying attention to it right now, even though it bounced and twitched excitedly on his belt.Coming into the park holding a a little girls hand a pink skinned girl with an egg carried in her front pocket, the little girl beside her had pigtails on and she was bouncing ready to go play.
"Oh come on Habika...let's play like we use to!" Trinity whined as she tugged the much older pokemon teen towards the swings a hand pointing towards it.
Giggling Habika only nodded her head slowly,"Okay..but if any other little boy or girl wants to play on it..I will get off okay? Or how about this? I can push you...wouldn't you like to go really high?" She inquired trying to encourage the girl to not try and makes things like they had in the past...she felt bad for her..since Trinity had basically lost her best friend when she herself grew up.
"Oh how about you play with that nice boy over there?" Habika tried wondering if ...
"No way! Boys have cooties! I don't want that..." Nope...Trinity was still on that bend she had picked up at school. It was the appearance of the girls that triggered the little Pokemon inside his ball; obviously his trainer was unaware of the threat approaching from behind! He had to be warned! With a click and a swoosh, the Totodile escaped his carrying home.
"Totodile!" he shouted, pointing a accusing finger in the direction of the females who wandered around the park.
Well, at least that's what it'd sound like to his trainer and the girl, if she heard him. The large pink-skinned...thing...heard the Pokemon's words for what they actually where.
"Intruders!"
The little boy jumped at the sound, turning around and gasping dramatically. "Oh no! Intruders! Come, Cthulhu, to our secret lair!"
Both boy and Totodile scrambled up into the smaller tower of the play gym...peering distrustfully over the edge at the girls.Trinity turned and looked at the boy and the pokemon who was making so much comotion. Taking a deep breath she pointed to the boys as if accusing them of something they had done...even though they had yet to do anything.
"I don't want to play with him!" She proclaimed without even getting to know the boy first. Habika gave a paitent smile and then a little nudge.
"I bet he is just shy..why not go say hello?" The glare she received from Trinity only seemed to 'scream' no.
"Okay I will go say hello then." Habika grinned as she straightened and then moved towards the pair. "My what a strong fort you two have got there.. Do you think we could join you?" From behind however the little girl was shouting at her about wanting to play on the swings."It's not a fort!" shouted the little boy, hiding behind a large plastic tic-tac-toe game.
"Yeah! It's an evil lair!" echoed the Totodile, sticking his tongue out at the teen that approached them, his tail slapping the ground behind him aggressively...only to have it get stuck under the bar.
"Ow, owowow!" the poor little Pokemon yelped, turning around to try and free his poor trapped tail.
"Oh no, Cthulhu!" the little boy cried, scrambling over to try and help his friend.Habika tried not to giggle, after all they were being so very serious about all of this.
"Oh I am sorry...not a fort..got it," she agree'd as she looked to the Totodile who then got his tail stuck.
"Is he okay?" She inquired trying to get closer to see what the problem was. Trinity was sighing and tapping her foot behind her babysitter.
"Habika...come on..push me on the swing!" She shouted though Habika only looked to the girl and gave a small apologetic smile.
"Just a minute sweety, the Totodile has his tail stuck." Moving she went to reach for the little pokemon."He's stuck," the boy whined, actually looking very upset - for just a moment, the whole act of being an evil genius dropped because his Pokemon was in trouble. It was the shouting from the little girl that drew his attention, and tears pooled in the boy's eyes.
"Shut up!" he screamed at her, cradling the Totodile in his lap. "Just relax, boy. She's gonna help get you free..."
Cthulhu had thrashed about quite a bit, the spines on his tail having become locked between two bars, and as the older girl approached, he only got angrier and more frantic. It wasn't until his Trainer hugged around his middle that he stopped...eyes wide and unsure as he looked at the girl.
"...it pinches," he said meekly, sniffling a little. He didn't want to admit how much it hurt...but it did.Habika gave the little Totodile a soft smile and nodded her head, "I see..it must hurt, but your being so brave right now...let's see if I can get you free now.." She murmured softly as she gently stroked the little Totodile's head before she moved to more pressing matters.
"Trinity..I need your help please. " The chansey teen called out firmly and the little girl knew that tone and relunctantly came over rubbing her arm, after all the boy had told her to shut up and she wasn't really keen on helping him. Though ..it wasn't the pokemon's fault his owner was so mean.
"What...Habika?..." She inquired as she noticed that Habika was trying to spread the bars.
"I need your help pulling his tail free. Be gentle though." Habika spread the bars that were trapping the poor Totodile and slowly with team work the two managed to get Cthulhu free. The Totodile's boy narrowed his eyes as the little girl came over, but didn't argue as the two of them worked together, helping his Pokemon move his tail out of the way and sitting to inspect the damage. It was red, and more than a little bit swollen...but his Pokemon would be ok.
But man, that'd been scary.
Cthulhu rubbed his tail a little before standing next to his Trainer, swaying his tail just to make sure it worked right. The pair looked awkwardly at the girls, knowing they should said say thank you...but being little boys, it felt so strange.
Specifically, being little boys who wanted to be Evil Villains, it felt really strange. Like, they should have been able to get out of that on their own...
"Th-thanks," the brown haired boy finally stammered, and when Cthulhu didn't follow suit, he elbowed his Pokemon sharply in the ribs.
Cthulhu wrinkled his nose...but eventually gave in.
"Thank you...for helping," he mumbled.Habika giggeled and went to pat both boys on the head and then decided that ...it wasn't very dignified for them to do so. So instead she gave them her warmest smile.
"How about...we play some marbles." She suggested as she always carried a bag of them around, sort of ...nostalgic since she had only slowly been giving them away and yet she had enough left they could still play an adapted game of sorts.
One could tell that, this was not what Trinity wasn't to do. Her shoulders sagged and she moaned, but didn't protest beyond that. Both boys' eyes widened as the bag of marbles was produced, and they exchanged side glances. The human boy smiled a bit, and his Totodile mimicked him slyly.
Marbles were shiny, and nifty enough to warrant coveting...there had to be a way to get some for keeps, right?
"Sure," the boy said, a little bit of a glint in his eyes.
"Marbles would be fun," Cthulhu echoed, nodding his head vigorously.Trinity gave the Totodile a blank look before she sighed. "I'll go swing on the swings myself thanks.." She stated as she turned and walked off.
Habika knew that eventually the the girl would be back..bored and wanting to be included. Shifting the bag in her hand the marbles inside clicked about enticingly.
"Okay let's move over to the sidewalk. I have some chalk to make a circle." she explained as she got up, towering over the pair she moved over to the sidewalk, and kneeling she drew the circle and them poured the marbles slowly onto the ground. There were numerous colors, each one to celebrate a friend of hers.
"Okay pick one of the big marbles you use those to hit the smallers one outside of the circle." She explained the rules for the game, letting the boys choose their starting marbles first. The boys' eyes got even bigger, if that was at all possible, as the strange pink girl poured the marbles out on the ground. There was only a moment or two or stunned silence before they dove forward, grabbing any of the bigger marbles that they could reach...eventually grabbing for the same one.
"Hey! Cthulhu, let go!" shouted the little boy, trying to wiggle the marble out of the Pokemon's paw.
"No! I had it first, you let go!" snapped the Totodile in his Pokemon language, teeth curling back from his maw to reveal sharp teeth.Habika knew she was going to have to settle this dispute quickly, else the little pokemon may try and take a snap at its owner.
"Now now...how about I take that marble and hide it behind my back I will mix it up and you both have to choose left of right and which ever hand has the marble in it gets to use it okay?"
This was her solution as it was the only thing she could think of at the moment. The two boys side-glanced at the teenager as she spoke, looking back to each other, and then to the marble. Neither one wanted the other to have it...especially not in a fair and square sort of way.
"He's gonna run off with it if I let it go," Cthulhu explained.
Which sounded nothing like an explanation to CJ, but he knew just from the tone of the Pokemon's voice he couldn't have been saying anything nice.
"You're just gonna put it in your mouth so it gets all nasty!" snapped CJ, pulling on the marble a little...looking up at Habika frantically. "He does! He does it all the time! Anything he doesn't want me to have, he puts in his mouth so I don't wanna touch it!"Habika gave a giggle and then made a gesture with her hand as if 'hand it over', "Well if you can't share it I may just have to take it away. Do you think we can play a round with out you two trying to steal from each other?"
The question was a serious one, but she was starting to wonder if the trainer and his pokemon would be able to share or if they were able to.

CJ comes from a large family, and that coupled with being the only nephew old enough to be 'properly spoiled' means he gets a lot of gifts. Specifically, for this birthday, he received an 'Official Villain's Cape' from an aunt who found his aspirations for world domination to be adorable and endearing. It wouldn't be until a few weeks later that a second parcel would arrive in the mail, with another cape for the 'Evil Henchman' that this same aunt had heard joined the family on CJ's birthday.
'After all, you both need to look the part," her letter had explained, with lots of X's and O's signed after her name. The two boys were delighted, and spent many an afternoon running around in their capes, laughing 'evilly' in their secret lair, and plotting the demise of the free world...whatever that meant.
So now that you have that picture in your head, the particular day I'm about to share with you took place like this:
CJ and Cthulhu were playing in the park near CJ's house, looking for forgotten toys and other nifty things to decorate their hide-out with. They were never too far from each other, but there were times when CJ would lose sight of his Totodile, simply because Cthulhu was smaller and could fit under bushes and other obstacles that often hid the best stuff.
Cthulhu was crawling out from under a bench when he saw a sparkle in the bushes. With that same twinkle in his eyes, he scrambled over and began to push his way through the branches...soon coming upon a star.
"Woow," he cooed in awe; an actual star, like from the sky, how cool!
Shifting his eyes back and forth sneakily, he pondered whether this was a find worth sharing with CJ. After all the boy usually tried to take the 'best stuff' for himself, and this certainly did classify as 'best stuff' material. No, this had to be saved and treasured; maybe one day traded for something better, because that's what Cthulhu often did. He even had a stash of things in a crawl space under the park's storage shed, just waiting to be utilized.
Taking off his cape, the Totodile carefully wrapped the sparkling and shimmering star, tucking in all the sides so nothing shone out. Chuckling darkly to himself, Cthulhu started crawling back out from under the bush, scuttling towards the shed. He was half-way there when his head started to feel dizzy, and his stomach was a bit sick.
"Huh," he wondered to himself. "What...kind of bush was that? Making me feel icky."
"Cthulhu? Did you find something!" Oh no, CJ! He must have seen Cthulhu...he had to hurry to his hiding space!
Poor little Pokemon never made it. His foot caught on one of the flaps of his cape, and he stumbled and fell, rolling on the ground before blacking out. When CJ reached him, he was completely out cold - which sent the little boy into a panic.
"Cthulhu! Cthulhu!" CJ shouted, shaking his best friend...feeling tears swell in his eyes as he realized the Totodile wasn't responding.
"H-hold on, Buddy!" the little boy said, his voice shaking as he took off his own cape and wrapped it around the Pokemon, hefting Cthulhu into his arms. "You...y-you'll be ok, I've g-got you!"
Clutching the unconscious Pokemon to his chest, CJ ran home...never noticing the star which Cthulhu still protectively hid in his own arms.

Cthulhu couldn't remember sleeping as deeply or soundly as he did after passing out at the park; he wasn't even sure how long he'd been asleep until his eyes started to open and he saw the morning sun coming in through the bedroom window. He felt so strange, though, and it was like he had a ton of bricks in his head. At least he didn't feel sick anymore, but it was still hard to shift and move. Sighing, he gathered his strength and sat up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes with his claws.
"Hmm..."
The Pokemon blinked his eyes, glancing to where he'd heard the little sigh; being caught off guard because leaning against the bed, head resting on his folded arms, was CJ...still in his clothes from the day before. Had the boy stayed with him the whole night? Well, either way he was waking up now, also rubbing his face as he sat up, though his eyes were blood-shot and puffy.
"Cthulhu?" CJ said, half asleep, before letting out a gasp of amazement and throwing his arms around the Totodile in a tight, desperate hug. "Cth! You're awake! You're ok!" the child sobbed, his voice breaking a bit.
Cth nearly fell backwards at the hug, but carefully wrapped his arms around his trainer to return the embrace...still very confused as to why everything felt so different. CJ's hair had fallen into his face, and he tried to blow it out of his eyes, only to realize it wasn't going anywhere. Not only that, but wasn't CJ's hair brown? These curly locks were definitely red.
Pulling himself away, the Pokemon realized that the hair came with him, and when he used a hand to move it out of his face, he was amazed to find he felt it moving on his head.
"What...what's going on?" he said, looking at his hands...and his arms, finally realizing he was no longer merely a Totodile, but almost human! "What happened? I remember...finding a star, and feeling sick," Cthulhu said, repeating the events in his head.
"I brought you home after you passed out," CJ explained. "Mom and Dad took you to the Pokemon Center, but they said you were fine...so we just brought you home. I didn't wanna leave you, but Mom made me go down for dinner, and when I came back you looked like this."
"Wowzers," Cth responded, touching his face and feeling his arms, inspecting everything that was different and strange from his transformation. "This is crazy! Crazy, but amazing! I'm like that Chansey chick we met the other day!"
His brown eyes lit up as he looked at his trainer, "CJ, we can do so much more cool stuff now! You can understand what I'm saying. And look!" the Totodile shoved his hands - actual hands! - into CJ's face. "I've got hands! With fingers!"
Throwing the blanket off his legs, Cthulhu climbed down off the bed and started making for the bedroom door, "Come on! We've got the whole day ahead of us,...let's go see what dastardly deeds we can come up with now that we can really plot together!"
CJ felt a little overwhelmed, but his smiled despite the flurry of motion and energy that was his Pokemon. Honestly, he was just glad that Cthulhu was ok - it'd been a rough past 24 hours - but he wasn't about to be left behind, and taking just a moment to rub the sleep from his eyes, he got up and started to follow his best friend.
"Ok, Cth, let's just...take it easy, huh?"
Cthulhu dismissed the idea with a wave of his hand, "Yeah yeah yeah, whatever CJ. Come on!"

Now that he was child-like, Cthulhu didn't fit very well into a Pokeball...actually, he didn't fit at all. So instead of being able to go with CJ during school, the Totodile boy was forced to stay home during the majority of the day. He was supposed to stay in the house, but...well, what kind of evil doer would he be if he actually listened to the adults in his life?
He'd snuck out and was making his way to the playground, specifically the castle equipment that Cth and CJ had claimed as their "secret lair". He'd spend the day plotting evil things and keeping other kids out of his territory, which was always interesting and fun.
Lucas had taken up residence in the playground today, after all he could go anywhere he wanted and do anything he wanted, he had no owners...no parents and he loved that. Certianly there were times that it was hard and he went hungry...but today his 'charm' managed to land him a box of doughnuts and he was currently nomming on one of them as he sat atop the highest spot in the entire playground. A spot he had no idea was the secret layer to a certain Cth who was heading in his direction. His tail was twitching and he was examining the lace on a cuff noting that he would need to find a way to keep his also newly acquired clothes clean.
Cthulhu would beam as he came over the hill and saw the castle's tall towers...and even though he nearly tripped coming down the slope, and missed a rung of the ladder which lead up to the tallest turret, he'd keep that bright smile on his maw. That is, of course, until he climbed into the castle and saw there was someone else already there.
"Hey!" he snapped sharply, a scowl on his face. "This is my place!" His snout automatically opened into a silent snarl, showing off sharp, white teeth.
Usually, that was enough to get any of the kids who would be up in the jungle gym running. Most of them had never seen a human-like Pokemon before, and being a Totodile sure did make his job of protecting his lair much easier.
Lucas turned his head slowly at the voices that came from the ladder and he took another bite of his doughnut before a smirk crossed his features for a fleeting second before his face resumed a rather...adorable innocent look.
"Oh? Funny...I don't see your name on it." He commented with a smile as he took another bite of his treat. HIs tail was lashing slowly back and forth, he would test out his charms on this one...and see if it would work.
"Besides..I was here first. So I think this castle belongs to me now." You could almost imagine a heart symbol at the ends of his words he was looking just so cute.
"Is too!" Cthulhu immediately shot back at the comment about 'names'.
It'd only taken one run-in with a jerky teen (smoking in the towers, how evil...Cth had almost been impressed) to get the boy and the Pokemon to take a sharpie to the sturdy plastic They'd wanted to carve their names into the tower...but they got caught trying to sneak a steak knife out of the house, and ended up grounded for a week. Sharpie was much easier.
Nearly pushing past the Raichu boy, he pointed to a spot on the wall where it clearly said CJ's name, as well as his own.
"Right there! Cthulhu! And I come here every day, so I was here waaaay before you! It's MY hide out!" he said again, more firmly.
Cuteness was lost on him at this point.
Lucas watched as the other pushed past him, how he slightly lost his balance and nearly dropped his doughnut...this...kid was asking for it. There was the sound of crackling coming from the raichu boy's cheeks, but he let himself simmer down. The doughnut had not been lost...but he would..show this punk a thing or two. Walking over he went to inspect this so called 'claim' to the playground.
"Funny... I don't see...anything." He commented as he charged up a finger and then lazily he began to melt the plastic with the heat of his electric attack. It wasn't enough to melt directly through...but certainly enough to mar the surface.
"See? Nothing there. You must of been seeing things." He stated sounding quite sure of himself on this matter. Turning around again he went to finish off his doughnut and go to retrieve another one
The young Totodile boy stood there, completely shocked (haha!...er) as he watched the plastic melt and warp under the Raichu's finger. It was a pretty funny site, honestly, because his large jaw had dropped slack and his eyes were as big as dinner plates.
"You...you, just..." he stammered, and then closed his mouth into a tight line. "That's not right! That's not fair!" Oh, the irony...Cth was a horrible villain.
Turning, Cthulhu stomped the two or three steps to where the other boy settled with the doughnuts. He looked at them, hands clenched into tight, angry fists...with a little sniffle that betrayed how hurt he was. He wasn't going to bite the boy...he wanted to, but that was amazingly not where he went first.
Instead, he whipped himself around, turning on his heel, with that wrecking ball of a tail aiming right the box. He wanted to knock it over, send it flying...hell, even if all he managed to do was knock one doughnut away, he'd be satisfied.
The boy probably would of been better off if he had bit him, then it would of been just a quick shock to get him to let go, instead he had done..the unimaginable...the unthinkable. Destroyed his hard work...his food and that cute large eye'd expression narrowed dangerously as he looked to the other. Moving to stand slowly his fingers twitched slightly, there was a crackle from the tips of them an from the pouches at his cheeks.
"Its time...to learn about how I do things.." He started looking rather menacingly all of a sudden. "I get...what I want..."
Lucas started moving in on the other boy, "When I want it...and nobody...gets in my way or they regret it..." The electricity was starting to spark violently in his hands...
There was a moment where Cth stood, looking rather triumphant and even a little smug as the doughnuts were destroyed. Then the Raichu child got up...and as the sparks started to crackle, a sickening feeling crept up the back of Cthulhu's spine. Specifically, dread...and that realization that he may have gone too far. His narrowed eyes widened a bit in his fright - because this cutesy looking little thing suddenly got very, very scary. Like, CJ's mom when she caught them getting into trouble...scary.
His maw flapping about uselessly, Cth tried to think - what am I gonna do?? WHAT DO I DO? - and then, it hit him. Like all good Team Rocket grunts in training, when faced with someone obviously much stronger and more intimidating that you, what do you do?
You run. Which is exactly what the Totodile boy did next.
