As you head closer towards the mysterious figure, you realize that the figure isn't standing. They're actually on the ground. You don't need to see the glowing weapon pointed at you to know that they're a hunter. "Stay back!" They order.
It's then that you notice the glistening liquid surrounding them. They seem to be sitting in a puddle of it... How odd.
Everything in this place needed to be approached with caution, Mimsy was learning. This entity, however, seemed to be an ally. She thought. She hoped. The person insisted that they stay back, but she didn't slow her pace.
They didn't appear to be in any shape to do anything about her not staying back, so she advanced on the other hunter, kneeling by their side. As inconspicuously as she could, she scooped up a bit of the liquid in one of her last remaining vials and quickly stuffed it in one of her pockets.
She cleared her throat and looked away.
"Do you require assistance? I am unfortunately unprepared for field surgery, but there might be something around here that could help..."
Frowning, she searched her immediate area as best she could through the fog, ignoring everyone else. She was on a mission. Two missions, now, with this stranger who seemed to need medical attention.
Everything she found, however, kind of looked like it was worthless. A half pill, a full pill (shaped like a pumpkin? what?) and a very, very unfortunate-looking bandage. Wrapping that thing around a fellow hunter would probably get her reprimanded, because it didn't seem safe in the slightest. But these things had come from the strange house, so they went into the pocket opposite the vials.
"Well. Maybe not," she hissed through clenched teeth, frustrated.
Shine didn't object to stayed as far away from the stranger as possible. As far away from both of the strangers. She could already feel herself growing shaky, almost nauseous, and she gnawed on some of her candy, hoping to calm her nerves. She didn't like not knowing. She didn't want to hit them. She didn't want them to hit her.
With a worried little 'mm' she shuffled sideways towards Aymet, looking up to him for some sort of direction. These were not the sort of situations where she was at her best, lost and confused in a strange, foggy house with strange people and strange...everything.
Those fog things had the right idea. She wanted to go home. Now.
"I said-" the hunter broke off, weapon wavering before she put it down. "Oh thank -- you're not an illusion, are you?" The hunter stared, speechless as Mimsy first opted to collect a sample before introducing herself. The woman groaned, head in her hands. "Great. Just great. Look, just... Just go. I'm too far gone."
Mimsy quirked a brow and eyed the injured hunter suspiciously. Exactly what sort of visual trickery was supposedly being deployed here?
"I am not an illusion, but..." She tried looking at her from a different angle, curious to see if her image might falter. "You seem to have given up a bit early. From my understanding of most of us, we don't give up until we are dead."
"Furthermore, many common techniques of deceit involve an appeal to emotion. You appear injured and unable to help yourself, and have just commented in a way that should make me doubt myself. You are surrounded by an unknown substance. How do I know that you are not an illusion?" She folded her arms and awaited some sort of explanation...largely because a hologram of such sentience would be incredibly fascinating. "Of course, if you really do need help, I can't leave you here. If you are human, I ask that you describe your injuries so we can both get out of here."
