Since I've become an adult I've been struggling with weight issues.
Right now I'm getting heavier again since I've quit my job. I live a pretty sedentary lifestyle, which I don't move around a lot. I also have sleeping problems, so I tend to be up all night and hope to sleep whenever I can pass out.
I'm having incredible knee problems. It's hard to walk, or even move. My lifestyle eating? My mom gives me the keys and money and tells me to go get fast food. I have no income at the moment besides babysitting for my sister. It's only $40 a week and I'm saving up for school.
What can I do that's easy on my knees to get me up and going? I'm getting uncomfortable with my weight, and I can't easily go out and do things unless I spend money. Which I don't want to do.
Any help is appriciated.

Hey! Speaking someone who is totally broke and homeless, you can find things to do without money as long as your in/near a city. The countyside is harder but we still find you something to do 3nodding
secondly i also have a bum knee and its a pain in the arse. Do you know what the cause of your pain is? Do your doctors know its affecting your life? I think you need to start of with some really light exercise (do it in your house, thats what i do, no need to go outside and A. send money B. look like an idiot in front of other people) doing more in the day may help you a little with your sleeping issues ( it won't fix it if ou have underlying sleep problems) but having more of a structure can help you mentally sleep more at night and less in the day. Have you tried swimming? Not jarring to the knees like jogging, you can mostly use your arms.
I think the first and easiest step is to ditch the fast food. You don't need to spend more money to eat something else, fast food has almost no nutrition, fine occasionally but if your getting worried about your weight and health, its got to go! You don't have to start eating nothing but salad. You need a better diet to give you energy, it may be a contributing factor to why your not moving around a lot.

Hey Pepsi, I have very weak knees due to multiple dislocations in the past, so I can share a few tips to strengthen them without risking further injury. My favorite is wall squats, where you brace your back fully against a wall and slowly bend your legs until you appear to be sitting proper in an invisible chair(if that is too far down for you don't worry, just go as far as comfortable) Then slowly bring yourself up again.
Make sure you stretch them too. partial lunges where you can brace yourself against the wall or table are good. I'm not the most active person either and good lord, standing up after not moving is brutal.

Can you get an exercise bike? That would help you exercise without being a shock on your knees. They're on Craigslist for a song, or even free!

I have no idea what is wrong with my knees. They've gotten a bit better now that the weather has calmed down. I do not have a doctor that I can go to. No insurance, and I don't use state aides like Medicaid and such. I pay out of pocket.
I've decided to walk on a treadmill everyday since we have one. Start slowly, and I've decided to cut out pop and tea's, which tea is really super hard to cut out. (Which means liquor as well, but that's besides the point.)

I'm sick of my inactive life style. It gets pretty pathetic, and I like to be outside only at spring time. Which doesn't last long, and that sucks badly.

Gigi Deveraux Can you get an exercise bike? That would help you exercise without being a shock on your knees. They're on Craigslist for a song, or even free! I have an exercise bike that my parents use. I'm going to start using that and the treadmill they have by slowly working myself up. Hopefully it will work.
