AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM
Name: Ursula Striker
Nicknames: Ursula answers to Ula at home. Really, she tends to be fine with most of the nicknames associated with her name -- Ursel, Uschi, Urska. Feel free to throw a new one at her too.
Gender: Female
Age: 15
Faction: Ghost
Race: Barghest
Nabbed from the Ghost Subspecies guide: "Pronounced bar-GEIST. Their original ancestor was that of a large, monstrous black dog with sharp teeth and red eyes. At some point they branched off from the main branch of helldogs to become spirits tied to the world that have traveled back from the gates of the afterlife. They can be summoned by Necromancers."
Natural Ability: Also nabbed from the subspecies guide: "Chill of the Hunt: Once they have a scent, a Barghest can track down whoever the scent belongs to. Even if they're ghosts, Barghests can track their prey by smell."
Personality:
(gah, going to try to revise this some more for brevity and clarity and probably structure too)
Quiet, reserved Ursula prefers to think and act, not discuss. She relies on body language as much as -- sometimes even more than -- spoken words to communicate her feelings on a matter. Back home, her reputation for unpredictability is well-earned, as she tends to run off to put her latest plan into action without discussing it with others, even in team scenarios.
While this taciturn ghoul seldom thinks to volunteers her opinion, count on getting a straight answer out of her if someone does ask. She has a sharp mind drawn to puzzles and anomalies to go along with her bias toward action. She responds with the truth as she knows it, regardless of whether or not someone's feelings might be hurt. If feelings must be hurt, she would rather have it happen when she's voicing an honest opinion rather than inflicting pain with words she herself doesn't even believe in.
Ursula values intelligence, competence, self-reliance, passion, and many other traits. But above all, this free spirit prizes independence of thought and action, in herself and in those around her. While she tends to seek out solitude when left to her own devices, she is polite, even friendly in social interactions, all the more so when her curiosity is piqued.
In social situations, Ursula admires those who are true to themselves and has an especial fascination with those whose personalities complement or outright contrast her own. In friendships, she takes a laissez-faire attitude, appreciating others for who they are. She'll never be a friend to stage a needed intervention or to share a wordless rapport, but she can be a friend to accept you in full, flaws and all.
Tolerant as Ursula is of differences in perspective and personality, she has a hard time putting herself in someone else's shoes. While she gladly lends a helping hand when needed, her underdeveloped empathy means that, sans a clear indication of how exactly to help, she tends to leave people alone to work things out on their own, the way she likes. Truth be told, working things out on one's own doesn't always work out for Ursula herself either. For now, she has managed to ignore this, especially when it comes to her own problems.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy?

Ursula's parents hope that attending Amityville Academy will help their daughter improve her social skills and interact with those of different species and abilities, in addition to learning better control of her Fear.
