Astra had dissipated. She was sure of that. But as to where she was, she had no idea. Normally she would have reformed in crickets office, but now...All she could see was fog.

Her feelers drooped. So she was still stuck in the haunted house. Except now there was more fog to boot. The air felt strange, wrong even. Like the insanity was all encompassing and waiting to consume her too.

Just like it did everyone else.

The fair sat up, gloomily looking around. She supposed the first order of business was to try and find a way out, but her heart still ached for her lost friends. Especially Yuki. Just thinking about what happened made her shiver.

She did not blame the ghost boil. Astra knew better then that. The insanity made you forget everything and everyone, so it wa sonly logical she had been attacked. And yet, even if all her physical injuries had been healed, she still felt so cold

Hugging herself, the fairy quietly sobbed.

Yuki was suddenly awake... Had he been asleep? He felt odd, disoriented. Memories of what he'd done to Astra were a horrible welcome to his return to normality, and the boil had to compose himself for several moments before he could think remotely clearly.

The fog hadn't consumed her as it had him, at least he didn't think it had...

The soft crunch under his shoe got his attention only a moment, but just as he began to look down he overheard the softest sound... And followed it.

It was difficult to see in the fog, but in following the sound of the fae's soft crying he found her. As much as he wanted to run and embrace her, he hesitated. Close, but giving her space.

Yuki was afraid to test his voice, but he uttered her name. It was little more than a whisper.

"Astra?"

He was afraid of her rejecting him, now, even if she had the perfect reason to do so...

The fae's shivering stopped abruptly at the sound of her name, but she did not turn around. At first Astra thought she had imagined it. A whispered name in the fog. Then slowly, her head turned, peaking over her shoulder to see if she really had made it up in her head.

No, it was really him. There was no trace of insanity on the ghost boil. How this had managed to happen, she could say. Perhaps she had really gone off the deep end herself.

But when she jumped at the ghost boil and felt his ghostly body, she was sure it was him.

"Yukkiiii..." She wailed as she held onto him tightly. "I thought I'd lost you!" She wasn't going to let him go. Nope, never.

For Astra to look back at him, it seemed an eternity. Yuki's form wasn't solid, but slightly transparent as his focus wavered with anxiety. When she finally flung herself at him, he embraced the fae tightly, losing any attempt at a coherent response in sobs. Even standing was too much effort, and he let himself hit his knees, bringing the small ghoul down with him.

He just... Held her. For several minutes. While trying to compose himself enough to speak.

"Forgive me..." He gasped at last.

Being brought down to the ground, she continued to hold onto him until he asked her for forgiveness. With a few shaking sobs, she managed to find her voice. "I..'sniff' forgive you. It wasn't your fault in the first place"

There was nothing else in the world that Astra wanted to more then be held in his arms, and as much as she wanted to stay there, she thought it would be more important to get the hell out of here before there anything else happened. But as she sat there the fae wondered...

"How..did you get rid of the insanity?" She pulled back to ask, wiping her tears away. Once she felt composed enough, she got to her feet. "Regardless, we need to get out of here before we see any more insanity monsters...although" she then mumbled with a glance at their surroundings. "I...don't know how to get back."

Yuki was relieved that she wasn't angry with him, and he hugged her all the tighter. When she pulled back, he finally let his grip relax and looked down at himself as if noticing his normal state for the first time.

"I don't know... I just... When I came to just now, it was gone."

He stood when Astra did, keeping close in worry that they could easily lose one another in the fog. "I don't, either... Any ideas?"

"Hmm..." Astra mused out loud, hovering above the ground. She had thought about flying upwards to see if she could fly above the fog, but then she didn't want to lose sight of Yuki again...

"How..about we just start walking, and see if we run into anything?" She suggested. It wasn't a very good idea but, did they have any choice at this point? The fae then flew off, making sure to go at a slow enough pace that the ghost boil could keep up with. But as she continued onwards, the scenery did not chance one bit. Astra began to wonder weather they would find a end at all, when the fog began to take on a form of itself. Her eyes widened. These shapes...seemed familiar...

She quickly flew back, holding onto Yuki's arm. "Hey...aren't..those booths?"

Yuki watched in silence as she thought, not hesitating to follow her closely when she moved away. He didn't want to lose her again, either. If they ran into trouble, at least they wouldn't be alone.

That's hoping that they wouldn't end up taken over by the fog as he had been before.

"Stay close," Yuki said needlessly, pausing when she approached again and took him by the arm.

"Looks like it," he murmured. "I'm not too fond of the... Sounds." Surely this wasn't them magically finding their way out into Fright Night. When they'd left it, it had been over and not at all a place of activity. Well, other than the cleaning part.

The sounds Yuki spoke off were creeping Astra out as well. They were not the same joyful laughter and music she had heard before, but a very muted version, as if she was hearing it through a wall. She broke away from Yuki briefly to examine one of the booths. When she went to stand on it, however. she fell right through; it seemed the whole place was made out of fog.

With a yelp, the fae was quick to fly back to the ghost boil and resumed her place near him. "Stupid fog booth" she muttered, then stared as the fog suddenly rushed at her. She didn't have time to even scream as she was enveloped in the mists, dropping to the ground as she found herself unable to move. Panicked, she watched as a figure approached her, asking if she had stolen anything.

"...Huh?" Was all she said for now.

((OOC hokay since the meta is going to end soon, I will pre-post my prompt choices here and come back to these while Astra is in the finale. If I do not end up roleplaying these out, assume Astra has found the stairs leading to the battle right after she encountered the first prompt.

Prompt 2: Close your eyes and wait for the shapes to go away. (Do nothing)
Prompt 3: Get up and walk away. It is not your concern. (Do nothing)
Prompt 4: Pick up the beaker of odd grey liquid, the least of all three evils.
Prompt 5: "I want to stay with you. Let's... go elsewhere."

The boil wasn't too keen on the idea of really splitting up, even if it was a few feet. He followed Astra, startled when she fell through one of the booths-that-was-not-a-booth, though he was quickly relieved when she didn't appear hurt.

Then everything changed again, the sensation of falling making Yuki's stomach lurch and head dizzy. When the world settled and he looked up to see the figures that Astra saw, everything in him wanted to run but his body refused to move.

Hurriedly, he tried to think of the safest way out. They hadn't touched anything in this place, let alone stolen anything... Could this figure even be real?

"We would have to get it..." Yuki tried, hoping that Astra wouldn't question him. "We'll bring it to you."

Once he could move again, Yuki had full intentions to take Astra and run.

The figure seemed intent on making them return whatever they stole, and Astra wouldn't have argued save she knew what the stolen item was.

She was about to ask what said item was, but Yuki had cut in on her. She would of looked, but her whole body was parlayed. How did Yuki know what the item was? He couldn't have known!

Unless this was a ploy for them to escape.

Concern for her boilfriend gnawed at her insides, but she didn't do a thing, waiting to see what would happen and if Yuki really did have a plan in mind.
