Pad had been watching the pretty Acha curiously. She'd never seen one before and it's petite legs, long horns, and dainty hooves had fascinated her. As she watched, her brown coloration had kept her hidden in the foliage of the area. Even her eyes were brown and almost dull. The circlet of leaves around her head rustled and made it seem like she was just part of the bush.

When the beautiful creature started calling out for help after wandering around in circles, she revealed herself. "What's the matter?" she asked in her soft quiet voice. She had learned that most creatures didn't like being spied on, so she kept her observations to herself. "Are you hurt?"

As the stranger huffed and stood in the mud, Pad watched her face and tried very hard not to tilt her head in confusion. The Acha looked very out of place and uncomfortable. "My name is Lilypad in Mud, it's nice to meet you." She gave a polite bow. "I could show you where some food is." she said softly, not removing her eyes from the squirmy female. She knew there was a raspberry bush nearby, but also knew there were catfish in the pond she could fish out.

Pad just shook her head in reply. She watched the tiny hooves shake as she walked in the mud. Her own hooves were wide and feathered fur that was usually caked in mud covered almost her entire lower leg, hiding all of her dark hooves besides the very tip. She could care less about the mud and trudged through it, leading the Acha to the berry bushes.

"I've never seen any Acha before. Are you all so..." She took a moment to find the right word, "delicate?"

"I -I didn't mean to offend." she said in an almost whisper. With her head low, she came over to quietly inspect the nests, looking for baby birds that may have fallen. Relief came over her as she found them all to be empty and dried. "The berry bushes are over this way, if you'd like to follow."
With her head still hanging low, she made her way through the mud and brush, worried that this stranger to the swamp might now be very upset with her. Her feat of strength was quite impressive and was glad the girl had chosen the tree and hadn't kicked at her instead.

Looking to her shoulders and then back at Dust, she shrugged, "Some are more similar than others. Some of us have more unique scales. Most are rounded shapes, but I was born with these lilypad shaped ones. I figured it had something to do with being born so close to the pond." She noticed that the pretty kin was shaking her hooves as she walked and slowed her own pace. "Do all acha have such long horns? Don't they get tangled in the bramble?

Pad had never been to the desert, let alone too far from her pond in the swamp. She had heard about the dry practically tree-less place but found it very difficult to imagine. She did see how a brush free environment would allow one's horns to grow so tall and straight.
After passing under a tree and over some roots, they were at the raspberry patch. Many of the tart fruit were almost over ripe. They looked wonderful. "Well, here you go. Do you need help with anything else?"

She was going to go stake out a good mushroom patch for later, but when was she ever going to see an Acha again? Besides, she couldn't leave her in the swamp on her own. Pad wouldn't want to be left alone in the desert by herself.

"Of course not, I'd be glad to help you." She nibbled on a few berries herself.
