Obviously with everything that's been going on, and financial constraints being what they are, and Christmas so darn fast approaching, oh and there being like hardly any good Halloween stuff in stores, I've got no real plans for 2012, and while I think we should do somethingthis year, I can safely say the next big themed masquerade will be in 2013.
So star planning now everybody, because the theme is going to be VIDEO GAME CHARACTERS!
If they've been in a video game, had a video game based on them, are part of a franchise that has been adapted in a video game, or are major video game staples, it counts, so GO CRAZY!

I should mention we'll be playing as Characters from video games, not characters who know their from video games. There is gonna be a crazy Kingdom Hearts-style story for why all these characters are stuck together on 2013's fateful Halloween night, but you should be playing them straight. ^^

Agreed. 2012 will be the last year nothing super special is done for All Hallows Eve, just consider this hiatus a build up to 2013's project.
This far out I'm considering Guts (or Gatsu if you prefer) as my costume, though which version I'm not sure of. Its funny because even though Berserk is a long running Manga with multiple Anime adaptions, I was introduced to it by the super fun Arcade game side story on the Dreamcast! mrgreen

Mm i guess it doesn't matter what genre it is? i mean we really could end up with some crazy mix of characters it would be fun but for the event is there a limit on what game it is?

Well, if your going to be pac-man, it HAS to be the anthropmorphic pac-man, y'know with arms and legs. ^^
Otherwise really no limit, though personally I keep with slightly more humanoid videogame characters (or movie and anime characters that have also been featured in videogames)
I will say this, they should have some fighting capability who knows what might happen! Although yes, we can have a Jedi, Big daddy, Bayonetta, Jon Snow, and Goku fighting alongside Mario, Master chief, Glados, Dante, and Sora, just come as whoever! mrgreen

This might take a lot of milk jugs(and paint that sticks well to plastic), but I think there's time to design an armor of sorts. (futuristic-y)
