Gwendolyn Caspian gave a long, heartfelt sigh, as she managed to drag herself out of St. Mags' school grounds after the rather long and exceptionally boring day. No, she did not like school. In fact, if it was up to her, school would be illegal, especially when forcing those like herself against her will. Gwen had no interest in the regular life outside of her senshi duties; she had little ambitions as far as her future went as a civilian. She wasn't going to go to college, and she didn't think half of the information being forced into her head was worth learning. How would it benefit her now, much less in the future? "They don't offer any battle strategies or any ideas on how to defeat the Negaverse or anyone else, or purify them... or nothing." Gwen grumbled aloud to herself, pushing herself towards the library so that she could get some studying done. She wasn't going to study math or her upcoming English exam, but more on her home constellation, Tsui, and why it would have rejected her from approaching that temple. For Gwen, that was far more important than reading any silly Shakespearean play. "Not like I'm going to do this alone... nope, I need a study buddy." And who else would fit that role besides Arian Laith? She pulled out her phone and sent him a text, already heading towards the library regardless if she'd get a response back or not. Couldn't hurt to try, right? "This is Gwen; wanna meet me at the library? Need to do some hardcore studying- could use help. Thanks!"

Arian had been spending some of his after school afternoons at the library working on the extra work he was having to do for Maths with today being no exception. In fact he was already approximately halfway to the library when his mobile started buzzing – he’d forgotten to take it off silence again – to announce that he had an incoming text. It was from Gwen. He’d first met her with a fellow classmate, Anming, and then again at the library when the dark-haired teen had decided to try doing some research on the asteroid with which his senshi counterpart shared a name. They’d exchanged mobile numbers, but Arian hadn’t had a chance to see the white and black-haired teen in a while. Pulling up the text function on his phone he tapped a message back and hit send. -- Sure, was already heading to the library anyway. Where would you like to meet? --

Gwen had received his text message, just when she felt the hair on the back of her neck rise, and she glanced behind her to see if someone was watching her. She didn't see anyone, but that didn't mean that someone, or something, wasn't there. It was starting to get darker earlier, but still, it seemed a little early for a youma to be prowling... not that it stopped them before. 'Could be nothing... but just in case...' Gwen thought to herself, returning her attention to the front but all the while keeping her henshin pen close and keeping an eye on her surrounding to see if there would be any good places to hide and transform. For now, she'd simply have to hope it was a stalker and she kept to the lamp lights, as she pulled out her phone and read his text. -- What's close by? With a lot of people?'-- Gwen was still learning her way around the city, but if it was a stalker, than a crowded area would have easily thwarted its plans. If it was youma or a Negaverse officer... well, then she'd simply have to take her business with it elsewhere. Preferably before it tried to make a meal out of her, or Arian, or another innocent civilian. 'Whatever you are, make your move soon... I got a nice boot for you to choke on.'Better herself, a Senshi that could take care of herself, than someone else, she thought, as she gripped her henshin pen all the tighter.

Reading Gwen’s text Arian tapped back a quick response. -- There’s some shops nearby, a coffee shop too – they have some good home baked stuff. -- Arian should know, despite there being a fair deal of sweet treats on hand at home it didn’t stop him from buying things like cookies or slices of cake when he was out and about. The dark-haired teen was contemplating sending another text asking if Gwen wanted them to meet at the coffee shop first or even by the diner that he remembered being practically around the corner to the library when he thought he saw what might or might not be a shadow heading towards one of the side streets. After a slight hesitation, Arian decided to check it out – figuring that it wouldn’t hurt for him to take a quick look.

Gwen had received his text message, but she didn't look at it yet. No, not when she was absolutely CERTAIN that there was some kind of youma or creature following her. Had it simply been a stalker or some creep, she'd call the police, but one quick glance behind her confirmed that it was, in fact, a youma. And a particularly ugly one at that. Round, pudgy, sharp claws and teeth meant for tearing flesh, as well as digging into its victim and sapping away their energy. It probably saw Gwen walking alone in the barely lit streets and figured it was going to get an easy meal. It was wrong. "So wrong..." Gwen growled to herself, grabbing a hold of her transformation pen but keeping it concealed as she broke off into a brisk job. Her plan was simple; lure it into a side alley where no one else would be, transform, and proceed to beat the ever living snot out of it. And make sure she made it to the library for her study date! Simple enough... She darted into the side alley, with the very hungry and much faster than one would think youma on her heels. It was in for a surprise! To her luck, there was no one there and the windows were either tinted or boarded up. Now was her chance. "Alright, I've had enough of you! Tsui Star Power, make up!" The transformation was quick, and the feel of her battle attire felt much more natural than any pair of jeans or school uniform ever could. The youma have a startled snort but otherwise remained on the hunt, and Tsui was preparing for its quick, but probably painful, demise.

Arian was beginning to think that the shadow was a figment of his imagination and that he should probably head back to the library, in fact the dark-haired teen had turned and started to take a few steps back when he heard the sound of what sounded like brisk footsteps heading in his direction followed by a sort of thudding sound – almost if something was thudding along the ground. There wasn’t anywhere to really hide along this stretch of street and Arian was beginning to wish that he’d taken the opportunity to power up into his senshi alter-ego before heading as far down as he had. As it was he didn’t think he had time to henshi up before whoever or whatever it was heading in his direction reached him.

Super Sailor Tsui felt that she had a good control over the situation; she had the youma's full attention on her, and she was more or less sizing it up to plan her attack. All she needed to do was pull it deeper into a fightable area and dispatch it, which is what she prided herself in doing best. What she didn't take into account for was the civilian that she was running towards, nor who the civilian was. She recognized him instantly, and her golden eyes went wide with momentary panic. 'Crap, not Arian! What the hell are you doing here?!'She came to a screeching halt before she could run into the long-haired teen, and her shout was shaky, but strong enough in hopes of chasing her friend away before the youma caught up to them. "YOU! You need to get out of here, now! There's a- s**t!" The youma! It was far quicker than one of its physical stature should have been, as Tsui spun around and brought her arms to defend herself. She barely grabbed its thick neck before it could chomp down no her face, but that wouldn't stop the claws from trying to dig in to her flesh. "You'll pay for that!"

The source turned out to be a black and white haired girl dressed in white and greys. The dark-haired teen had enough time to notice the bits of some sort of fur on her outfit before the girl started yelling at him that he needed to get away. Despite being unpowered and thus unable to pick up auras Arian was pretty sure that the girl was a senshi, but before he could say or do anything the source of the thud-thud sound that he’d been hearing materialised in the form of a youma. An ugly thing with claws and teeth that launched itself at the girl, her hands seeming to barely come up in time to prevent those teeth making contact with her face. For a moment he hesitated before biting his lip and turning to dash further into the alley – although this was a task that Athene was suited for more than himself – powering up would essentially mean compromising his civilian anonymity. Then he saw the youma tried to claw at the senshi and his mind was made up, part of him grateful that at least they were the only ones in these back streets. Dropping his ruck sack, he summoned his henshin pen before calling out “Athene Asteroid Power, make up!” His own transformation was pretty swift and powered he was able to sense what his civilian form had not – the aura of a senshi of similar strength as well as the sort of aura that he’d come to associate with the many youma that seemed to overrun Destiny City. Now wasn't really the time for introductions and the youma was too close to the other senshi for Athene to think he could use his senshi ability without it hitting her, so instead the dark-haired senshi settled for covering the distance separating them before attempting to try tugging at the things legs from behind.

When the youth had actually moved deeper into the alley, Tsui could barely hold in her surprise, and it was enough for her to almost lose her balance. She recovered quickly enough, however, enduring the claws that dug into her shoulders and feeling the effects of it trying to drain her energy. "Where the hell are you going? Safety is THAT way!" Tsui shouted to the other youth, shifting her head in the direction behind her and keeping her grip firm on the youma as it continued its assault. She knew she had to get it off of her before it sapped her dry, but she couldn't risk it until she was absolutely certain that Arian was safe- of course, she did not anticipate that her study buddy was a Senshi himself, and she could not help but watch as he transformed before his very eyes, her golden eyes wide and her mouth gaping open. Her friend Arian was not only a Sailor Senshi like herself, but he was Super Sailor Athene? The one that came to her rescue way back when? She simply could not believe her eyes! Not that she had long to be surprised, as the youma wasn't willing to give her that luxury. It came VERY close to chomping its needle-like teeth on her shoulder before Athene was able to grab its legs and pull at it, and Tsui wasted little time in the matter. She thrashed about to free herself from its claws, all the while shouting at her savior from long ago. "Thanks for the assist... boy do I have a surprise for you, but let's wait until -after- we dust this guy!" She pried herself free but went tumbling backwards. Normally she'd be able to maintain her balance with ease, but she was bleeding, not to mention it had managed to siphon some energy along the way. She gave a spat as she tried to recover, even as the youma turned its attention to the Senshi of Beads. "I hope it chokes on that energy!"

Surprise? Part of Athene was curious about what sort of surprise the other senshi could be talking about given that he was pretty sure that they hadn’t encountered each other previous. The majority of the dark-haired senshi’s thoughts were with the youma however. As the black and white-haired senshi freed herself, Athene had tried to use his grip on the youma’s legs to attempt to toss the thing backwards and away from them both in an attempt to give them a bit of breathing space – well that and so he wasn’t stuck try to hold, a most likely angry youma by the legs. However the dark-haired senshi hadn’t counted on the other senshi losing her balance or the fact that it would shift his own balance causing him to wobble backwards slightly right as he moved to try and throw the youma.

Athene's throw was true, as the youma was flung across and was slammed into the side of the building, giving a pained yelp as it slumped to the ground. That was the opportunity that Tsui needed, pulling herself back to her feet despite the pain and weakness. If she could get her magic attack on it, it'd at least stun it and give them the chance to discuss their next battle plan, assuming she didn't kill it outright. "Stay back, Athene! I'm about to strike!" Tsui shouted to the dark-haired Senshi, running forward and preparing to summon her attack on the slightly dazed youma. This was her chance, not only to rid the streets of, yet, another disgusting youma, but to show Athene that his efforts in saving her life many months ago wasn't for naught. The youma pulled itself back up and grunted, and that was a sign that it was time for Tsui to summon her attack. "Striking Tiger Flurry!" White aura formed in her hands and arms and she charged forward, slamming into the youma and once again slamming it back into the wall. If the impact of her blow didn't stun it, then the wall did, and it crumbled to the ground with a groan. "Now, hit it with a rock or stone or something!"

Despite his wobbling, Athene had managed to keep his balance and moved as much out of the way as he could at the other senshi’s request. For a moment he wondered how she knew his name, before realising that she probably got the name from when he had henshined up in front of her. The other senshi called on her senshi ability, something that seemed to involve white energy forming around her hands and arms before she dashed the youma. Slighty winded as it was from its earlier collision with the building courtesy of his earlier throw, the youma didn’t really have a chance as the fellow super senshi slammed into the youma and the collision caused it to collide once again with the building. The collision – or maybe it was the senshi attack – enough to stun the youma, but not outright dust. There was a largish bit of rubble near by where the dark-haired senshi was standing, that appeared to be a piece of stone broken off from the sidewalk which Athene thought might finish the job and after bending down to pick it up he lugged it over to the fallen youma, below letting the rather heavy piece of rubble drop on the thing.

Through their combined efforts, the youma was undoubtedly defeated. The moment the large piece of rubble was slammed on its body, it gave a breathless wail, then fell limp at their feet, crumbling into a mess of dust and goo. Tsui gave the remains a kick with her boots and snickered, flashing Athene a bold smile and a thumbs up. "Nice to see you haven't lost your touch... guess that means you've been keeping your Senshi hand strong." It took her a moment to realize that Athene probably had no idea who she was, and when it dawned on her, she gave a nervous laugh and slapped her forehead. Why did meeting her heroes feel so awkward? "I'm sorry, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Super Sailor Tsui, Senshi of Tigers in the White Moon Court." She stressed that last part, before extending her hand to shake his. "You might not believe this, but I've met you before, under a different... um... circumstance."

“We made a pretty good team,” Athene said quietly. “You’ve got a pretty neat senshi ability.” Although the other senshi appeared to know him, the dark-haired senshi was feeling slightly embarrassed that he could not admit to the same. At last he figured that they may have met briefly at the senshi and knight meeting, or even the later discussion on purification – there had been a lot of faces that he hadn’t recognised there. He smiled at Tsui as she introduced herself reaching out to shake the offered hand “Pleased to meet you Tsui. I’m Sailor Athene” he gave her a rueful smile as she mentioned them meeting before “I have to admit I’m a little curious,” he admitted “Since you have the advantage of recognising me, but I can’t for the life of me remember us meeting before today.” It didn’t occur to the dark-haired senshi that perhaps the reason why the other senshi appeared to know him was actually closer to home – both the blessing and curse that was the glamour that hid their civilian identities until they were revealed.

There should have been a sign attached to Super Sailor Tsui's back that read 'Warning: Do not feed the Tiger compliments; her ego is swollen enough as it is', but Tsui tried to play it off with some small sense of modesty. "Thanks... I guess I'm lucky that the ones in charge of that task decided they liked me enough to give me something fun to use in battle. As well as this kicking outfit..." Yes, she STILL loved her upgrade, but that was not the focus on her impromptu meeting with the dark-haired Senshi. She took his hand and gave him a hardy shake, and she glanced around the alley to make absolutely certain that the two of them were alone. "Well, that's because you never really meet me as Tsui, but as someone else. Someone who you and another Senshi rescued from a youma, many, many months ago." She pulled away, and after thoroughly checking to see if they were alone, she prepared to return to her civilian identity, scratched shoulders and all. "Figured since I've seen you transform and I now know your secret identity, then you should know mine." The transformation was quick, and Gwendolyn Caspian had little shame in presenting herself to her friend. "Surpriiiiiiise?"
