Eunomia was still seething about that battle with Nickeline, and getting upgraded to super didn't do anything to salve her wounds. Not the physical ones, though there was still a cut on her face, but there was something about the smug little b***h's smile that was grating on her even now.
Corrupted senshi were a thing, she knew this way before their match, but there was something about actually knowing one and physically clawing at her that made it a sudden reality in spite of all the logic, facts, and stories already imprinted in her head. It didn't make Chaos any less creepy or sad, though.
She wasn't even patrolling so much as sitting there, being sullen, senshi phone in hand just in case. She would suffer no more chastising from ********* if more psychos showed up. It wasn't he fault she over estimated the abilities of a fellow senshi to provide proper back up. Geez.
The super senshi tapped on her boots in boredom, wondering if it was time to call it a night or see if these senshi phones could download Angry Birds.

Super Sailor Virtus, Dark Senshi of Kindness, was always in a good mood. He was not the kind of man who hid his feelings because he was technically lying to himself. He was a kind of man who could not really process negative emotions in a way that could be construed as normal. The moment he felt something bad, it just sort of filtered away and a burst of new, good feelings swallowed it up.
So, even with all his failures, he remembered how had he had been working recently. He remembered how much joy his work was giving him and how determined he was to be a good servant.
A good, loyal dark senshi.
He felt the energy of a pure senshi nearby and decided to go and get some patrolling in. Maybe talk about how good it was to be a Dark senshi. He approached openly, not sneaking or trying to get an attack in first, just walking up to her. She looked a little sad.
"Are you okay?"

When approached by the weird sensation of the dark senshi, Eunomia tightened her grip on her phone, but he didn't seem hostile. He seemed genuinely nice, so either he wasn't going to pick a fight or he was a total psychopath.
She opted for the former figuring the latter would be an excellent excuse for being caught off guard anyway. And it would be so much nicer if he really was... well, nice.
"Oh, I'm fine, just a little cranky over a fight I had recently," She said, putting her phone away and rubbing the still sore area of her cheek from Nickeline being kicking her in the face. "You're the other kind of senshi, right? Not the one with holes in them..." He didn't look like he had holes in him, at least. Which was much more comforting.
"What are you doing?" She meant it legitimately. She wasn't sure what 'bad' senshi did or why other than it was apparently evil and a lot of people wanted to purify the Chaos out of them. So what he would be doing out an about was a sincere source of curiosity.

Virtus was often caught in that conundrum. Most White Moon did not know if he was actually just a stupidly nice guy, or a crazy faker like in a horror movie. Where he was just acting sweet and kind, so he could get close enough to slice someone's face off.
He would never dream of doing something like that. It turned out he was just, legitimately, a nice idiot.
"A fight? Those are never fun. Well, sometimes they are, but only if you win, right?" He laughed, then looked thoughtful. "Though, even then, sometimes not. But that's okay, you're still here and you can learn from it! That's what I like best about it." There was always a bright side, as far as he was concerned.
"I'm a Dark Mirror Senshi, and I don't think I have any holes in me. No more than I'm supposed to, anyway. But I'm just out doing my patrol! Like I was told to."

Eunomia scrunched up her face a bit. "Fighting is barbaric," She huffed. A civilized person only resorted to physical confrontation when absolutely necessary. Like a crazy b***h in a miniskirt magically force choking you.
But Eunomia would excuse her own behavior endlessly.
"I'm not a fan," She added and shrugged. But she still inspected him up and down and felt comfortable enough to tuck away her senshi phone. "Um..." For some reason the conversation stopped being tense with the lack of threat and just got kind of awkward. "Patrolling for what? Or are you not allowed to tell me? Because, like, if we're supposed to patrol for you guys... and..." Well this was just confusing.

"Fighting can be necessary some times, but I think I agree! Barbaric is a nice word, too! You have a very good vocabulary." He smiled brightly.
There was no mocking in his tone, though his words could very easily pass for teasing considering he was supposed to be her enemy. But no, instead of teasing her for her diction he was legitimately praising her.
He'd been accused of being a jerk before.
"I'm looking for energy! I have to borrow it from people, but it's usually fine, they just wake up again later and they're better! I don't let them see me, so they're safe. I promise!" A lot of white moon senshi got mad at him when he said he was gathering energy so he wanted to explain immediately that he was going about it as nicely as possible.
"You're supposed to be on patrol for us?" That would explain all the anger, then.

"Erm... uh... thanks?"
Eunomia frowned a bit, wondering how an energy vampire could be nice about it. Though 'nice' and vampire and his very friendly demeanor and she was half expecting him to start glittering in the moonlight.
"Well, yeah. Don't you gank your energy from people? We're supposed to stop you from attacking people," She explained, and then wondered why she was explaining at all. "We're supposed to keep them safe from that." Or that was what Eunomia gathered from the whole superhero orientation, anyway.
"How is it safe?! You're stealing it from them! Or are you politely walking up and asking?" Actually, from this guy, she'd totally believe it, though she wondered how many people would really oblige.

"I tried that once! But it did not work out so well. I asked a senshi, I think it was, if I could borrow some energy but they explained that that... was not the way it worked. I was told by my own team that I had to get it when the person was not aware of me! Kind of like how we're supposed to keep our identities secret? It's just one of the rules, I guess."
And that was what he did. Followed the rules.
There were very few things that Virtus would not do if asked. And he had not encountered one yet, so even he questioned if there was, actually, nothing he wouldn't do. He just liked to be helpful and dedicated, not to mention friendly.
"I understand you're supposed to stop us though, and that's your rule. But we don't have to be enemies! You could always just join our Court! You're more than welcome, and you would understand that we're not hurting people, we're just trying to make things better."
He smiled brightly, looking hopeful.

"That's stealing," Eunomia pointed out stubbornly, standing up off the bench and putting her hands on her hips like she was scolding a little kid. "I don't see how going around stealing from people is making things better."
She seemed a touch insulted by the offer to join up, though. "I already have a court, thank you very much! I'm Super Sailor Eunomia of the Asteroids, and I don't have to steal from people to make my princess happy," Not that she ever made any actual effort to make Iris happy, but she was trying to make a point here!

Virtus smiled and seemed oblivious. Once something was justified in his head it was very difficult to make him feel guilty about it. He knew what he was doing was okay, he had been told so, and he was certain his team mates would never lie to him.
That was what it meant to be on a team. To trust one another, and be loyal.
He did that freely.
"Well I'm sorry you feel that way! It's okay that you don't really understand what we're doing. To be fair, we don't really understand what you're doing, either! So I guess it kind of makes sense that we're at odds. Oh! You have a Princess? We have a Queen. I'm sure your Princess is lovely though!"
He smiled brightly. The Asteroids, huh? He had never heard of that Court before. In fact, he hadn't known there were Courts inside the White Moon. But he was always happy to learn something new! And maybe he could tell some of the others about it, and they'd maybe be able to work with this Court.
After all, they used the same title. So maybe they had some other similarities?
It was a simple place, inside Virtus' head.
"So what do you do for your Princess, then? I'm just doing what I'm asked to do."

Eunomia looked frustrated. Cartoonishly so. He was so dumb in her eyes, and the sad part is she far preferred this dope to Nickeline. Though she couldn't say too much on the queen bit, she hadn't been super into the whole 'Ares pit of evil' discussion in most meetings.
Also his question about what she did for Iris was borderline infuriating because her options here were backtrack and says she wasn't as good of a follower as she thought, or actually fake it and pretend she serviced Iris like a good soldier.
Wrong or submissive to Iris were choices that made her want to slash her wrists. ******** you, Iris.
"I stop losers like you from hurting people!" She eventually got out, with way too much difficulty, throwing up her arms in exasperation.

Virtus was dumb. Very much so, though he hardly noticed it. He just took things for what they were, and always assumed there was something good to it. Painfully optimistic, but also incredibly naive and there was likely a lot of denial in there, too.
Loser? She must have seen him losing a fight to call him that. And to be fair, it was true enough. He did lose more than he won, and that technically made him a loser! Not offended, then, because she was speaking the truth, he smiled at her and nodded.
"That's what most White Moon say! But I'm not hurting anyone, I promise. I'm just taking a little bit of energy, and then they get it back. It's really nothing! I know, it's still stealing, but I have to do like I'm told."
He smiled and nodded. It was perfectly reasonable in his head.
"Anyway! I don't want to hurt you or anything, so I can go and find a different place to patrol?" Because usually he got the 'don't come around here or else' threat. Which, sadly, lost him some good energy gathering areas. But since he was branching out with his techniques anyway it was fine by him.

Eunomia looked like a frazzled cross between bewildered and angry, but silently stared in complete and total confusion.
Well, until she silently broke the silence by gripping her head and throwing it back with a frustrated "UGGGGH." Why couldn't he think for himself? Why was he so ******** stupid? And worse, why couldn't he be a jerk like Nickeline so she could just punch him already and not feel bad about it?
"No, whatever, I guess," Eunomia huffed. It was just energy, right? It wasn't destructive like starseed ganking. And somehow she pictured this guy being chased off with a shoe like a dog rather than being a dangerous individual.
"Blargh, I'm going home," She said sullenly and turned to head off. He was no fun.

Virtus looked surprised when she yelled, and watched her as she turned away. She was going home? From the noise she made he had to assume that she was feeling sick, and wanted to get home before she got any worse.
"Do you need someone to walk you? I mean, partway. I don't want to know where you live!" He reassured as he bounced after her, looking at her with worry etched on his innocent face.
Even with his second stage helping of chaos, he couldn't help but be innocent and sweet. He offered whatever he could, whenever he could, to help people in any way. Because he just liked to. But seeing her upset made him think he was making things worse, rather than better.
Which was not his intention!
"Or maybe I should just let you go. I hope you feel better!"

Eunomia probably looked like a frog with the way her mouth stretched out over her annoyed expression. He wasn't doing it right! He was being the worst enemy ever, mostly because his best defense was impenetrable. Because if she hit him she would feel all of the guilt forever. Like hitting a baby or a puppy or something.
"Yeah, no. I can get home on my own," She said, holding up the back of her hand in a wave without really looking at him. Because he was just the worst.
At least with Nickels she knew what to do, which was pound the b***h's face in.
Virtus would not be getting his face pounded tonight. At least not by her.
