Tamda wandered a bit from her mother...mainly because she felt like she deserved to have a little bit of fun! So she slinked along in the high grass, feeling like a mighty hunter. Little did the cub know how vulnerable she was...but then, what cub ever thinks about things like that?
Hearing a bit of a shifting sound in front of her, she quickly shook her butt, getting ready to pounce. Practicing on her siblings' tails might not quite count as hunting practice, but she was determined to catch whatever it was! After a bit more wiggling, and guessing that her prey was getting closer...she jumped!
And somehow, she actually caught something. A little mouse that was very displeased on getting caught, and squeaked at the little cub angrily.

Arkadios had once more snuck away from her father. Honestly, he wouldn't miss her too much because she expected to be back before he woke up. See, her father liked to sleep in the hottest part of the day, but she didn't. The dark cub with the orange and blue markings just wandered, getting lost in her head. Her thoughts drifted to her mom and who she really was. Arkadios had never met her, and honestly, she wasn't sure why. Asking her father was out of the question. She didn't want to make him uncomfortable! That would be horrible!
Still, she couldn't help but be curious. Letting her brows knit together, those paws walked without much thought as to where she was headed and how long she'd been walking. She could have been walking for hours for all she knew! That.. was a lie, actually. She couldn't walk for hours because her paws would hurt and she wouldn't be able to smell her family's scent still heavy in the air.
However, rustling of grass caught the cub's attention and made her paws in her steps. What? Who was that? Excitement crawled through her as she made her way into the grass Just up ahead. If she could sneak up on whoever it was that was in the grass.

Tamda was trying to quiet the mouse while still holding onto her catch. Just wait until her siblings saw what she caught!! The little brown cub still couldn't quite believe that she had caught something, and it was living too! The protesting squeaks of the mouse were becoming a little more spaced out as it succumbed to its fate, probably waiting for the chance to escape.
"I got yeww!" she giggled, doing her best to keep the little mouse's tail between her toes. Thankfully it wasn't biting her, but it wasn't keeping itself completely still. "Just wait, I wanna show them all that I can catch stuff!" Her tail twitched behind her as she looked down at the little mouse, making sure that she wasn't being too hard on it. Tamda didn't have the best gauge on her strength, but she knew she wasn't terribly strong anyway.

The voice and giggles weren't lost on the orange and blue cub. She almost wanted to giggle because of the giggling herself. Letting her tail flick as she kept moving through the grass, Arkadios spotted the other cub and watched her a bit before popping her head up. "Hello!" She said rather excitedly. She was looking rather friendly. What's the point of scaring off a potential play mate? Arkadios just didn't know Laughing a little more, she started dancing about the other lioness.
"That's a nice mouse you caught! Keep it firm in your paws or else it'll slip away!" It was just a word of caution. "Are you going to eat it? Is it a snack?" So many questions from the darker cub. "I'm Arkadios! You can shorten it however you want it, really. I'll answer to anything. Even 'hey you, with the mane on your head!" A snorting giggle followed her words and she finally stopped dancing in circles to watch the other cub.

Tamda's rose coloured eyes widened a she heard her giggle echo. Wait....did her giggling really sound like that? She blinked a few times, wondering over this concept until she saw another lion. Another cub! She was startled enough that her paws loosened a bit, and she felt the mouse struggling for its freedom. Instinct drove her to clamp her paws back down again, and the mouse settled down (even if it shivered), accepting its face.
"Woah..." she gaped, amazed at how many words came out of the other cub's mouth. "Um...I dunno...I just want to show my siblings I can catch things too!" Her tail twitched a bit, still a little surprised that another cub just appeared out of no where!
"I'm Tamda," she added on with a grin. "Where'd you come from??"

"Tamda? I like that name!" The black cub said with a laugh. She got closer to the mouse and sniffed at it before looking up to the other cub. "I'm Arkadios! I came from that way." Her voice rang out in more of a song as she pointed to the direction she'd just walked. Letting her tail flick this way and that, she looked around for another one. She wanted a mouse! If another cub could catch a mouse, she could too. She wanted one! Giggling a little more, the orange and blue paws of hers shuffled again as she decided to look about for a mouse.
"You wouldn't have happened to seen another mouse? I kinda wanna catch one and show my siblings!" It was a good idea. If her dad saw she could catch a mouse, maybe he would take her hunting! That'd be so fun!

Tamda's eyes went from the other cub to her paws. She could still see the little mouse's tail twitching between her paws. Then she looked out to where the cub pointed, narrowing eyes trying to see if anything interesting was out there. Since she couldn't even bother to really see what was out there, it just looked boring to the cub. Moving on, as with the short attention span young ones had...
"Another mouse?" Tamda echoed. "Umm....no, I didn't see one." Now she was back to looking at her paws again, weighing her choices against one another. "Do...you want the one I caught?" She offered carefully, trying to not look too sad while doing so. She could just try to catch another one again, since she did it once already!"
