Nuru stirred from his spot on the couch before jolting up with a gasp of terror. He quickly looked himself over before patting his chest over. He was normal again? But... how? Wait. He didn't really care how. What he cared about, really cared about was how he turned and what he did while turned.
He frowned deeply and stared at his hands. He could swear he still tasted blood on his lips and recalled with a nauseous feeling how it felt to sink his teeth into the flesh of the humans just trying desperately to defend themselves. He was a monster... but, there was still that feeling of betrayal.
He didn't become that monster on his own.

Home.
It had been so absolutely important just moments ago. But now he didn't even know what it really meant. He didn't have a home, the mansion was his parents property, he lived in a school that he didn't care for. There was no home to speak of.
Sitting up with a quiet groan, he leaned on his knees, peering around curiously, letting his thoughts clear. As they did - falling into place with meticulous accuracy - his frown deepened. His memory was, as a rule generally very good. Sometimes that was a double edged sword. He could remember Nuru's protests, could remember the way even the ghost boil gave way to wicked claws. The humans had been no match for him either.
He threw his weight onto his hooves, getting up from where he sat, apparently on a rug. Leaning his weight on a nearby table, he steadied himself, wings held out for balance. The fog ate up all the sound, every bit of noise, and he wondered if he was alone.
"Erm. Is anyone there?" It sounded much smaller and more tentative than he had hoped.

Nuru looked about the room in search of the source of the voice as he called out, "Ah am." Eventually his gaze fell upon Zar who was presently residing across the room.
He froze in terror at the sight of the demon. He couldn't help it. The boil didn't look much different than he had when afflicted with insanity. It was hard for Nuru to tell the Zar he loved from the Zar that had slaughtered him relentlessly.

Zar saw the way the dog boil froze in his tracks at the sight of him. It was impossible to miss. It was a difficult dilemma, there was an initial pang of guilt, overwhelming regret, but he watched the emotions the way one might watch a particularly interesting firework. A great deal of lights and colour, not a great deal of substance. Instead underpinning it there was a sort of satisfaction. His success in the simple act of murder was a statistical fact rather than an untethered feeling. Overall the balance tipped in favour of self satisfaction.
Straightening up as he reoriented himself mentally, he peered over his glasses. "You do not have to look so afraid. I have no reason to harm you."
He remembered the lurking suspicions that had motivated his attack on Nuru, the hunt for home - but more than that he remembered what came before, the realisation that he did not trust the dog boil, that he no longer felt he was secure to trust anyone. There was no more organisation here than there had been when he arrived - if anything these erratic thoughts merely meant further chaos.
But still there were no apologies, not even the slightest outward sign of regret. He felt he didn't have to.

Despite Zar's protest to the contrary Nuru kept cowering. He couldn't help it. The other snapped and butchered him. Not only that but made perfectly clear his feelings might not be as requited as he was initially led to believe.
Their present predicament came secondary to the unresolved issues that had led them to it. He tasted human-jacking-blood because of him and frankly, he wanted to know why.
"Why?" was all he could offer the incubus though for his long silent wait. Why what exactly? Why everything.

Why.
Such a messy word, tugging on so many potential explanation and threads of meaning while giving him no cue as to what specifically it was that the other boil actually wanted from him.
"That is an unspecified query." he stated almost robotically.

Was he serious? Was he completely serious with that?!
Nuru stared incredulously. He couldn't believe Zar would say something like that. Wasn't it obvious? Wasn't it as clear as a jacking bell?
"You know what I'm talking about. Why the Jack... jacking... EVERYTHING that just happened?!"

Zar once again gave Nuru a blank look, as if hardly seeing him. It didn't specify but he supposed that a general summation would simply have to prove adequate.
"I would assume simply that it was to do with the insanity infection running rampant in the school and its surrounding grounds. There was an overwhelming desire for home which in essence was absurd as I had only just come to the realisation that I do not possess a home." he blinked as if remembering to do so. "Prior to that however, I was simply stating factual and logical things. No one can be trusted. And you are a someone."

"I..," Nuru wasn't sure what the jack to say to that. Zar just confirmed that he was still a raving emotionless lunatic and that what he said earlier was him.. not the... insanity. But he was still insane. Right? Or...
Nuru suddenly turned away to search the area and after a few moments managed to find a Corrupted Runic Bandage, a Corrupted Pumpkin Pill. and a Horseman Vial. Whatever those items did.
He couldn't deal with Zar as he presently was at all. If he didn't set to work on finding a way forward right now he was going to dwell on the past and they'd never get anywhere. It was then he noticed a few lights and more ahead... but chose to head towards the warm light. Not even waiting up for Zar.

Zar gave Nuru a thoughtful look, as if considering whether to go his own way or follow the dog boil. He felt no need to pursue the previous line of conversation either - it had reached a logical conclusion, Nuru's question had been answered in full and he apparently was satisfied with what he'd been told.
His tail curled behind him for just a moment, the only real outward sign of this moment of hesitance, curling a loop of anxiety he couldn't control as he found himself temporarily worried he'd done something wrong, that he'd handled the situation in a way that was far from ideal.
But he could find no non-emotional reason for this doubt.
So he simply followed Nuru in silence.

The moment Nuru realized the warm light led to horsemen he veered in the other direction to avoid them, attempting to grab Zar by the wrist as he passed him to haul him alongside. He still looked irritated and was still choosing not to talk to the other boil - but he wasn't going to lose him in this chaos either.
The farther along they went the more and more Nuru slowly started to realize he had no jacking clue where they were or why it looked like a festival of sorts... he missed it, he never even... and it was because of... he shot Zar a quick bewildered look as if he knew any better than he had before sternly setting his jaw and carrying on until sentient fog cut him off.
Nuru froze in place. He couldn't make out the people behind the main figure. Perhaps he lacked any close relationships? He frowned before closing his eyes and waiting for the shapes to go away.
When he finally opened his eyes again he was relieved to find the figures were now gone and he was left with just Zar to worry about again.

Zar was almost tempted to go to the horsemen. He hated them, he didn't trust them, but he was quite through with this whole fog thing. It showed a distinct lack of organisation and clear thinking - and, he realised grimly, reflected poorly on his own judgement. Why had he come here in the first place? The ailment must have been slanting his normally impeccable choices.
As Nuru grabbed his wrist he allowed himself to be led along simply as the path of least resistance. He could have dug in his hooves, could have fought him and split up, gone their separate ways. It might well have been more logical. But something stayed his protests, some silent overruling instinct that prompted him to hold on rather than try and shake his hand free.
His expression stayed blank, tail flicking behind him as they went. Things got stranger and stranger as they went along until walking was rendered impossible.
Zar's eyes went wide in a jolt of memory. A memory that wasn't even his in the first place.
This figure. The demand. The choice. He'd heard it before! The man back then had wanted the treasure, the treasure that Sin had stolen from the underground cave. Treasure he still possessed albeit in small amounts, securely locked away in his room's safe.
Behind the man were indistinct shapes, faces he almost recognised yet could not fully. He paid them little heed, instead met the figure's hazy gaze, or where their gaze should well have been.
He chose to repeat Sin's words and deny all knowledge. "I stole nothing."

In the next moment Nuru suddenly found himself on his knees desperately trying to stop blood from gushing forth from what he was sure to be a mangled... he doesn't know. He tried to attempt to heal whoever (and whatever) it is. But he is no healer, his efforts were completely in vain and soon they perished while he was left feeling guilty and useless. Could he have done more? It didn't seem to even register to him what an "enemy" even truly was. He didn't trust horsemen but that doesn't mean he'd ever want one to... He wilted further before looking over where he'd thought he'd last seen Zar.

The world seemed to blur, a sudden shift that left him on his knees in blood, trying vainly to hold someone's innards in with his claws. There was a moment of bafflement as he tried to apply logic to the situation. He met with no success. He couldn't understand why this would possibly be the case.
He bared his fangs irritably, letting the body fall to the ground where it wheezed pitifully.
He couldn't imagine why he'd wish to help a creature for no potential gain, and had no intention of it. He wrung the blood out of his sleeves and stalked back into the mist in search of Nuru.

Nuru was most grateful to see Zar again - He almost didn't even notice... but he had... a most alluring scent. He jerked his head at the demon boil before continuing their travels onward until they found themselves in the kitchen like area... he was offered a choice and he picked up the strange black fluffy creature that is staring with white eyes. It kinda looked like a canine like himself?... Kinda.
