Jack just got back from the bathroom and began to take the scenic route to the field and track, until he saw a building he had never seen before. He had never been to this exact part of the campus before, but then again there were alot of places on this island he had never been to. Curious, he approached the dojo and walked in. Respecting traditional customs he took off his shows and went in saying, "Hello? Anyone here"? Jack looked and stood around for a few moments waiting for someone to respond.

Razual chuckled. "Well, now there is. You sure got here fast. Feeling better?" she inquired. She was barefoot, but didn't seem to care. She wasn't wearing shoes and she hadn't worn socks.

She walked past him and went into a back room briefly. When she returned she was wearing loose fitting black pants. She sat down on the floor cross legged and motioned for Jack to join her.

"Come sit with me," she said. Once he was seated she looked at him. Here swords were still strapped to her hips and her staff was still on her back. She took them off and laid them each near her in easy reach.

"What is a sword to you, Jack? Do you know the history and use of your blade?" she asked.

Jack went and sat next to her as instructed. He was still tired but at least all he was doing was talking. What was a sword to him she asked? What an odd question, one that demanded more than one answer. Jack took off the sheath of his katana and set it down on his lap. He stared hard at it, trying to find the right words, and eventually, the right words came. He said so in almost a whisper, a solemn look on his face as he speak slowly, memories days gone by flooding the confines of his mind. "I was never good at hand to hand combat. My body type did not allow me to defend against the strength of those who wished to persecute me. I was and still am, a very introverted person. My interests lie not in girls or sports, rather in solace and silence. I valued and still value peace above all else. To be alone with my thoughts as I wished to simply enjoy life". Jack smiled sadly as he said, "As I soon learned, those who stray from the pack are often the ones preyed upon. For years I was tormented by cowards who found their strength in numbers, who found enjoyment in my suffering. Oh, I fought back, and ended up with many a broken bone. I was not fit to throw punches. Resistance only seemed to spur them on".

Jack unsheathed his katana half way, using his blade to reflect the shining moonlight coming through the windows into his face. He stared at his reflection for a few moments, and then continuing, "One day, I had enough. It was either I went or they did. I stole away one of my parents steak knives. They came for me as they always did....but...much of what happened was a blur. When I came to, every one but me was bleeding profusely. I looked down to see the knife covered in blood, and then looked up to see the terrified faces of those who were once so so so confident in their own superiority. There eyes held a disbelief I had never seen in a person. It was then that I realized the kind of power a blade held. It was the only thing in life that every gave me results. Wielding the blade seemed so natural to me...like the knife was an extension of my arm".

Jack sheathed the katana back into his sheath and looked outside the window, continuing his story. It was odd..he had never shared this much information with anyone..not even Darion. Though if he was to answer her question correctly, then she had to listen to all that he would say to truly understand. "I became enamored with blades of all kinds, but eventually I fell in love with the katana. A blade so sleek and elegant that it seemed to slice through the very air itself. I spent all my resources to receive a useable blade, and when I got it, I self taught myself everything I knew. The internet being my biggest resource of course. Though nothing else says results like taking on an entire gang of thugs all by your lonesome. They came for me, the people I instilled fear in came back for revenge. Though with blade in hand, I felt peace...I felt a confidence I never knew. They had guns, baseball bats, knives....I had a single sword...yet..I knew...not one person would touch me. I was right".

He stopped himself. He would not go any further, doing so would mean going into memories should had not had the right to access. No, it had not been earned...no...not yet. He put the sheathe back on his waist and turned to Razuala saying, "You want to know what this sword means to me? This sword is my peace. It is my confidence. It is my power. It is my answer to a question in which I cannot solve with words. If your looking to see if I respect my sword...fear not...I have respected each and every blade I have wielded". Oddly enough, Jack found himself smiling. Blades were one of his great passions, if not greatest. He loved talking about them. Who knew that such an inanimate could do so much for him?

Razual nodded. She approved of his answer. In fact he had already touched on one of her first lessons. THe sword is more than just a tool or a weapon, but an extension of your arm. A part of you.

The woman pushed her hair over her shoulders and looked at him, really looked at him. She smiled back.

"I'm glad. You aren't a blood thirsty killer who is only interested in power. You actually have a heart that respects your weapon. And you already have lesson one down. The sword is an extension of yourself and not just a tool to be used," she said. She ran her hand over the sheath of one of her sabers.

"That said, my first lesson to you is complete. I have a few rules to tell you and then you may tell me what you wish to learn first," she said.

Razual caught Jack's gaze with her own and didn't speak again until he held her gaze.

"The first is to kill only if you must. And if you must kill, do it mercilfully. The second is do not start a fight. Only fight if someone else starts it. Third, your blade is your partner, treat it well. And four, never fight in anger. These are my rules and the rules of this dojo. Obey them here. And I hope you keep them in mind out there," she said.

The swordswoman pointed out the doors of her dojo. Her gaze was very serious. Then she smiled and her mood lightened.

"If you understand, what would you like to learn first?" she inquired.

Jack simply nodded his head. The rules would be easy to follow, they had an uncanny closeness to Jacks own personal code regarding the heat of battle. No, he would have no issue following such rules. So now what would he learn next? His mind went back to the fight with the giant snake. He felt bad for retreating but due to his partners mistakes, he had no choice. His abilities were limited, and not suited to a forest environment, dealing with an enemy he could not cut. He did everything he could. He dodged when necessary, came up with creative solutions to extreme problems, he felt as if he did everything right, even as far as conserving his own energy and ki. The reason why he failed was simply because of a lack of options, and because he had to focus on keeping Darion alive. Now that he was level 3, he had access to more skills and abilities. Learning those would add more options to his arsenal, increasing his chance for survivability. He already had a good feel for what he would learn in the Dark Slayer Style he was studying, but the real mystery was what would be learn in the 2nd stage of the Kinetic Weaponry style. He simply answered with, "I'm up for anything that I can learn to help heighten my chance of victory in battle".

Razual raised one eyebrow. He was going to leave it to her to decide? Well she was going to need a little more information on him then. "Oh? You mentioned something about giant snakes before? Why?" she asked.

Once he answered that question she would ask," You have stage one of kinetic weaponry completed, correct?"

Jack narrowed his eyes at the mention of the snake. Not good times. He simply answered her question with his usually blunt, clear...and at the same time rather vague answers. "The Giant Snake was a beast I encountered out in the Forbidden Forest, it had the ability to absorb another persons powers, and it did so with Darion, turning into a Giant Snake made out of ice". Jack then heard the other question presented to him. Turning to her he said, "Yes".

Razual smiled and clapped her hands. "Brillient! Stage two of Kinetic Weaponry it is then!" she said, getting to her feet. She walked over to a small bookshelf in the front of her dojo and pulled own a copy of the Kinetic Weaponry stage two book. Whether it was her own copy or came from the library she didn't say. She just had it.

"It looks like it has to do with long range weapons. Luckily I have each one. Even the gun. ANd a target...." she said.

She pointed at the left wall. "Pull down the Shuriken, Revolver, and Bow and Arrows down from that wall, please Jack? I'll get the target. Meet me outside the dojo," she said. She walked into a back room to get the target.

Jack was confused. Wasn't he supposed to train the stage first? He made his thoughts known. "Wait, shouldn't I train the stage first? Then I would have the means to practice with the actual skill". He knew who was the master here but he didn't see how he could gain anything from doing this with actual weapons. And a gun? Wait. A gun? There is a gun involved with the 2nd stage of Kinetic Weaponry.. What kind of main style was this?

Razual stepped out of the back room with a target in hand and stared hard at Jack for a full thirty seconds. Then she sighed. "I'm sorry Jack. I should explain," she said.

She got the book and walked over to him and showed him the stage two training. "I assumed you did not know how to shoot a ranged weapon... So I was getting you ready. Just, look at this," she said.

Stage 1
Everybody starts somewhere, and so this stage is all about forming short range weapons. The fighter still hasn't adapted themselves to further ki manipulation, and so they can't make weapons longer than a couple feet. Training is done in 3 steps. The first is materialization in dreams, where the user has to 'magically' obtain their own weapon within a nightmare to save themselves. Then the second step is meditation. By meditating on the dream the fighter can put themselves back in the mindset where they first obtained their weapon out of supposedly nowhere. This allows their ki to reconstruct their energy flow and simulate reobtaining that weapon. Finally, the third and final stage is Materialization, where the user focuses their ki into the already reconstructed pathways to bring the weapon into existence as a literal extension of the fighter's ki and body.

Stage 2
This stage focuses on forming ranged weapons and projectiles out of ki. Training consists of repeating the same training method as the first stage, but only with a ranged weapon this time. Also if the fighter is not familiar with shooting then they need to visit a training zone where they can test ranged weapons and build their accuracy. In the end the user will be able to use longer weapons, but only those that are ranged like the bow. Researchers speculate that this is perhaps a consequence of undertaking the ranged dream. Also while the user can form ranged weapons, their ammo only comes singularly, and is always detached. For this reason it becomes impossible to form automatic or even most semi-automatic guns with the style, as they'd only be able to materialize the gun and a few separated bullets in their hand with which to load it.

Jack grimaced when he read the manual. He had to train with long range weapons first before he could use the skills? Dissapointing, long range weapons were not Jack's deal...though he could throw a dagger something fierce. Guns and bows however...his strength lied in close to mid range combat, when dealing with ranged weapons..well...he was a bad shot to put it shortly. Still, in order to progress he needed to get through this hurdle. Sighing deeply (in accordance to managing his anxiety disorder....which really only pops up during times where he is supposed to do something but really doesn't want to), Jack looked up at his new master and said, "Alright...what do I do"?

Razual chuckled. Honestly, Jack looked like he was being forced to eat something or smell something he did not like. But then she guessed that her new little student was more of a melee fighter than a ranged fighter.

The woman smiled. "I teach you to shoot, youngling. Get the weapons and follow," she said. She clapped Jack on the shoulder and went outside. Then she started setting up the target.

Jack nodded, getting his weapon and following. He wasn't happy about this, but it had to be done. Putting on the best mask to hide his contempt (he never was really good at that) Jack silently obeyed...all of a sudden thinking, "Did she just call me youngling? Was that a Star Wars reference"?

Razual set about setting up the target. Once she was done she turned toward Jack with her hands on her hips and a smile on her face. His sullen face was rather amusing to see.

"Alright kiddo. I'll show you how you shoot the bow first," she said. She had him stand ten feet away from the target for starters.

"Okay. The stance is very simple. Both feet shoulder length apart. Step forward with your dominant foot and find your center balance. As you raise the bow, draw the arrow with your dominant arm and take a deep breath at the same time. Keep your stomach tight and the elbow you draw with up. Keep the arm holding the bow straight. Sight down the arrow shaft. Find your target. When you release the arrow, exhale as well. Any questions?" she said.

As she spoke she helped Jack stand properly and draw properly. When she saw his stomach muscles weren't tight enough she tapped his stomach so he would tighten them.

"If you have trouble pulling the string back we'll have to do excersises to make your arms stronger," she said.
