-Blood Manipulation: The ability to control and manipulate blood of her own or the blood of others. However, she can only control and/or manipulate the blood of others if it’s exposed. Shaniqua can use manipulate the properties of blood (temperature, acidity, iron, etc.) for a certain effect, can generate excessive amounts of blood, etc. She can also create haematokinetic constructs and/ or appendages out of blood, though she mostly prefers making weapons to fight with.
*Blood Empowerment: The scent and/or sight of shed blood causes her to be mentally and physically stronger. The greater the amount of blood shed, the stronger she will become.
-Retrocognition: Ability to see into the past. However, she can see into the past of another person or object usually through physical contact. She is mostly able to control this power now, though there are times when it spontaneously occurs. The further into the past she delves, the less she will be aware of her present surroundings. The only time she doesn't require physical contact to use this ability is when she's seeing into her own past or the past of her ancestors.
-Appearance Alteration: Can change her own physical appearance to disguise herself or look like another person.

-Decapitation: Must have the head very far from the body in order to prevent it being reconnected with the rest of her body. If not, she can take control of her body and guide it to where her head is...with some difficulty, of course. She only has an hour to do so before she dies from loss of blood
-Fire: Moderate to Large Amounts. The healing process could take longer depending on the amount of damage. Currently working on building an immunity to it, or at least to make her own blood flammable.
-Blood: Despite being able to consume human food, she still needs blood- particularly human- to survive. Even holding back her thirst for longer periods of time will only last for so long before it drives her mad. Also, despite being empowered by the sight and/or scent of blood... the greater the amount of blood shed, the greater her chances of losing control. Plus, using her own blood to make larger haemokinetic constructs is very limiting, even though generating a greater amount of blood to meet her demands. The larger the construct, the more blood it requires, and the less time it needs to remain solid in order for her to be able to return her blood to her body in time. Any longer, and she'll collapse from the exhaustion... waking up extremely hungry afterwards.
-Impaled in the Heart: Whether a stake or a sword, her body becomes immobile as long as the sharp object's in her heart... or until she's able to pull it out herself. If it's left there after an hour has passed, she could die.
Technology/Weapons/Pharpenilia:
-Necklaces: She has two of them. The first one was given to her by her mother as a test to see if she had been fully turned. It's a golden cross, with a ruby at the center of it. Although she doesn't wear it anymore, she keeps it with her at all times. The second necklace was given to her as a wedding present from Sahara Grei. Designed from sorcery, it's an unbreakable pendant designed to look like ice blue fire, and serves to protect Shay from the Change as long as she's wearing it.
-Gravity Equalizer: A device on her belt buckle that, when activated, shifts her gravity, enabling her to walk/crawl on other "floors" like walls and/ or ceilings.
History
Theme Song: Remedy / Vision of Love
Shaniqua was born to a single mother in San Diego, California, with her father taking another lover three months before she was born. After Geraldine, Shaniqua's mother, had hired received assistance from a neighbor to care for her baby while she was at work; however, after four months had passed, little Shay was eating human food less and less often, and it didn't take long to discover why: the woman was an elder vampire, and was feeding Shaniqua milk that was heavily mixed with the woman's blood. The vampire immediately disappeared after the discovery, and it took a few months for Shay to get used to drinking her mother's milk and normal food again. As for the mother herself, who sought revenge for what the woman did to her child, she joined the Hunters Organization as soon as Shaniqua was old enough to be placed in daycare, taking on the alias Crimson Thorn while ruthlessly hunting and killing Paranormals.
During her teenage years, Shaniqua became a bit rebellious, yet she had no knowledge of the vampiric blood slowly making its way through her body- that is, until a few highly strange occurrences led Geraldine to tell the truth. Shaniqua refused to accept it at first, but eventually did as she grew older. After four years of a failed marriage, she spiraled downwards into a drug filled depression. Five months later, her mother found her while on a mission, and despite risking the loss of her position, she took Shaniqua home and guided her to a rehabilitation center. It was difficult, especially considering her mother, brother in law, and older sister died in a car accident, but she eventually completed the program within a year...and ended up divorcing her estranged husband. Afterwards, Shaniqua enlisted into the Hunters Organization and took on her mother's mantle as Crimson Thorn, while at the same time balancing caring for her niece and working at a nearby hospital. As a Hunter, she also took part in hunting and killing Paranormals.
Things seemed to be going well; that is until one instance changed Shaniqua's path in life: the day she met the Shining One Rastinith Voltiri, brother of the Hunters' Organization leader Malia. She hadn't intended in getting involved with him, but as time passed, she had grown to love him. Needless to say, the relationship didn't last very long, for after being convinced that she and Rastinith weren't meant to be together, Shaniqua broke up with him, continuing her work with the Hunters while Rastinith left the Organization. Four years later, during another encounter with Rastinith, she finally left the Hunters after disobeying orders to kill Rastinith, and eventually revealed the reason once Rastinith persisted her to tell him: Shaniqua still loved him. At the same time, despite her efforts, Setsuna had found out about the Paranormal world through a werewolf named Tyrus Vanfankin, and Shainiqua confessed the truth to her niece. Afterwards, she spent the next few months training Setsuna in self-defense, and giving her relationship with Rastinith another chance... and assisting him in protecting the Paranormals and humans.
During the events of Bleeding Catalyst, Rastinith had unexpectedly proposed to her in the midst of the battlefield. She said yes without any hesitation, and they were married three months later with Setsuna and Sahara- who had now become Twins due to their encounter with Lilith- present. No sooner had they completed their vows that everything became chaotic, with Malia aiming to kill Shay. Thanks to Miro, the leader of the Hunters' Organization was reduced to a little girl, and with her marriage to Rastinith, Shaniqua had finally gained the peace she had long sought for.
Unfortunately, chaos began to erupt amongst the Paranormals once more, and the human race is caught in the midst of it. Naturally, Shaniqua stands by her husband's side with the Revenant as they seek to end the war.
