Biography: Living a normal life was never an option for Darius, even at an early age. He was found alone by a man and woman very early in the Rukon District. They took care of the boy as if they were his real parents. His caretakers were outcasts for sympathizing with Hollows and forced to live away from the rest of the Rukon District. They were constantly on the move to avoid confrontations. On top of that, the child had fluctuating spiritual pressure that terrified just about everyone the boy encountered. His caretakers knew better, however, and attempted several times to get him into the Shinigami Academy. Their pleas always ended with rejection however and they began to get frustated. On what was their final attempt, a mob of people finally caught up with them and struck them down before turning to the boy. The sorrow of seeing the only parents he'd ever known taken from him began to overwhelm him. He cried out loudly and fell to the ground, as the bodies of the mob fell as well. He awoke several days later in the Shinigami Academy, dazed and confused about the events with no recollection of what happened. He was promptly dismissed and sent back to the Rukon district once again, living by himself.
His "family" gone and with no where left to go, the boy got into many fights over several decades despite any good he tried to do along the way. His energy threw the masses into a frenzy. As such, he developed an incredible resistance to pain. Over time, he began to feel sorry for the people who attacked him and neutralized them without harming them as much as possible.
An instructor at the Academy began to watch as his defense began to thrive, no longer being hit even with several attackers. The stamina of Darius also impressed the instructor as no matter how many souls came after him, he never tired and almost never struck back. It wasn't long before the instructor also noticed his protection of others, usually women and children.
At the behest of the instructor, Darius was admitted to the academy and trained to become a Shinigami. His training was swift, with most of the concepts being easily grasped, though he often found attacking a difficult request to stomach.
Upon completing his training he began his new life in Squad 8, a post he found very enjoyable. Working as backup to other squads mean't he could do a variety of things, from assisting on patrols to escorting research equipment. He worked his way to Captain well ahead of most of the predictions within his squad and remains a stalwart defender of his squad.
Personality: A likable guy despite his history. He remains guarded on most subjects about his life, but enjoys the company of others. He treats others as they treat him and is naturally respectful.
