Aventine was beginning to reconsider the park as her place of patrol; while she had started by assuming that there would be an even distribution of both allies and enemies—and yet, it seemed, she had only encountered the spine-tingling sensation of chaos.
And it kind of sucked.
She thought she'd had a decent enough grip on what 'Chaos' was, until she felt this energy signature. She'd already met Aurora, and assumed that all members of Chaos would feel the same way. This one was different.
This one hung heavy in her heart; it made her skin crawl far worse than the Dark Mirror Senshi had. She felt unnerved and hesitant, and debated for a long moment on whether or not she should approach the aura or just head home and try to forget it.
Whatever decision her heart and mind were telling her, her feet had another opinion all together. Mindlessly (or rather, perhaps too consumed by her thoughts) she made her way towards the energy. If she was going to feel this way, she was going to find out why.

Natron was prowling the park, which considering recent events had become one of his favorite places. He was also on his own, unfortunately his most often state. He had even considering asking Toutatis to patrol with him; safety in numbers, spending time with the girlfriend, totally cheap date, et cetera. But tonight was a solo patrol.
He felt the Order signal approaching and frowned deeply. It was a Knight, about Page-level he presumed. His experience with Pages was forever colored by a certain Troy who had beaten him into the ground on his first solo patrol. Pages were not his favorite people.
He waited for this intruder to approach, and raised his eyebrows when he saw her. Well. There was an unusual color scheme. "Out for an evening stroll?" He asked, sounding a lot braver than he felt.

Immediately, Aventine's eyes snapped to the male. "Yeah," she replied somewhat defiantly, not about to take heat from a guy who looked like he belonged in a gym class. Not that he was unpleasant to look at, just a little young.
…But even if he looked good, he still felt bad.
"…Not much else going on tonight, so I figured a stroll sounded just dandy. What about you, you taking a stroll or is there some other reason you're out tonight?" Her tone, while she tried to keep in conversational, was treading a bit into the hostile territory. She didn't want to give this guy the impression that she was some sort of scardy cat just because she wasn't aching for a battle.
In fact, the idea kind of made her stomach churn a bit. Sure, she was fine with blood and bruises—rugby had prepared her for a lot of things in life—but that didn't mean she wanted to see what this guy could unleash. She didn't even know what he was!

Natron nodded casually, finding it a lot easier to keep up a brave face than he expected it to be. After all, this was a girl with a perfume bottle, and unlike Troy she didn't look like she could tie him up in knots. Of course, looks could be deceiving, but still.
"Oh, just out patrolling, looking for meddling Order aliens..." Always open with the accusation that they were from outer space. It tended to throw them off. Or make them angry, whatever.
He definitely wasn't really looking for a fight, but he couldn't help but be a little provoking, a little confrontational. "Don't think I've seen a knight with a color scheme quite as ridiculous as yours before." Because his experience with knights was so vast.

Immediately, Aventine had taken offense. "Ridiculous?" she demanded, lips pursing. She drew herself up straight. "Like you look all that charming!" Sure, this getup was a little different, and wasn't exactly her style, but it looked good! It did!
It had taken some time to get used to (oh, who was she kidding, she was still trying to get used to it) but it wasn't like she'd gotten stuck in some hideous ensemble. "And who are you to call me meddling! I'm out, minding my own business. You're the one that looks like they're up to no good, I'll have you know," she said, still sounding just a little sore after his insult.

"I'd like to think I look pretty damn good in this, thanks," Natron said. Even if he looked like a biker thug, at least he didn't look like he belonged in some other century, and he could blend in pretty easily.
He frowned deeply. "I'm one to call you meddling because I'm here to protect my planet! You're not even on the right one!" He said, then he paused. "Unless you're a Knight of Earth, at which point I withdraw that comment." But he doubted it; Camelot had been, well, earth tones....definitely no pink or orange, and he was pretty sure the symbols on her outfit were...Venus? If he remembered his astronomy correctly.

Aventine huffed, hands clenching into fists at her side. "You're a moron! How could I be an alien? I've spent my whole life on Earth! I didn't even know about senshi and knights and negas until like, a week ago! So there's no way I could be an alien. I was born here! On this planet! So before you go around flinging that word at people, you really ought to get your facts straight! Who the hell are you, anyway?" she grumbled, obviously more than a bit annoyed.
The guy didn't seem bad, but he certainly wasn't one of her favorite people so far. A part of her hoped he'd keep saying obnoxious things so she had an excuse to storm over there and knock him upside the head.

The noise Natron made could only be called "exasperated." Somebody really had to give Knights the lowdown on their origins before letting them loose. What was it with Order people and deep, unbudging denial?
"I'm Lt. Natron of the Negaverse." He said, sounding rather proud of himself. "And who're you, lady knight? Tell me, haven't you ever wondered why you're a knight of...whatever planet shows up in your name?" If he had to be the one to inform her of these things, of her past life in service to an alien princess, then so be it.
And if that meant that he got into a fight...well, so be that too.

"I'm Aventine, Page of Venus," she responded, just so he'd have a face to the name. "And I don't see why I ought to wonder. It just happened." To be fair, she hadn't had a lot of time to wonder about her namesake when she had so many other things being pinged at her. "Why, is that something you spend a lot of time wondering?"
And if it was, was that something she ought to spend more time figuring out? In the grand scheme of things, she'd done only minimal research and scraped together a few key facts, but—hey. Whatever he knew, she wanted to know.

Natron couldn't give her the whole picture, since he was missing some of the details himself, but he figured broad strokes were good enough.
"I'm surprised that you're not even a little curious, because you really should be." He said, frowning. why would anyone not want to know? It seemed ridiculous to him. "I spend a lot of time wondering about a lot of things." He admitted. "So you're a Page of Venus, huh? Well, ever heard of the idea of past lives?" If he had to explain reincarnation to her, he was so doomed. That was a concept that even he hadn't delved far into.

While Aventine found herself incredibly not educated in the field of past lives, she certainly wasn't going to let this guy know how green she was. "What of them?" she asked, lips pursing as she eyed him. She didn't know how he had come to know of them, but if he knew enough to form an opinion, she definitely wanted to be in on that. If he spent a lot of time wondering, good—let him do the work for her.
Whatever he said, she reminded herself not to take too seriously; he might have known things she didn't know, but he was also a bad guy and bad guys lied. Still, she could always ask Caelian about it—but in a few days. She didn't want to burden the woman with a s**t ton of questions so early in the game.

"Okay so, far as I get it, you're the reincarnation of the last Aventine of Venus. Or something. And she-or he, I guess-served the Princess of Venus. Like, on another planet." He crossed his arms. "And those alien princesses? Yeah, they tried to invade this planet and you Knights are just dirty collaborators in the Senshi invasion."
He had done his best not to rant or rage, but damn it all he thoroughly hated those Senshi and their Moon Queen and the whole shebang. What right did they have to even be here on his planet? "And we Negaversers are here to protect Earth and send you people back where you belong."

For a long moment, Aventine just stared at the Negaverser—and then laughed. It took a fair few seconds for her to calm herself, but even then, she seemed smug. "Okay, Mister Know-it-All, then I have a question for you. If I'm some dirty collaborator for a princess on another planet, explain to me this: Why is Aventine on Earth? Because, I looked it up on a map. Aventine is in Rome, not on Venus."
Maybe she was meshing up mythology and ignoring the celestial aspect of it all, but she couldn't help but poke as many holes in this guy's theory as possible. Hopefully that would get him to shut up about this whole 'dirty collaborator' concept.
…And if that didn't work, at least she still had her fists to finish the job.

Natron crossed his arms. "Have you ever seen a map of Venus?" He asked. "Maybe there's an Aventine there too, and the one on Earth is named after it. And he'll, I bet no government-produced map would have it anyway, because it's a huge coverup."
He was passionately engaged now. Aventine was poking at his theories, and you did not poke at his theories. No matter how crazy they got to be.

Aventine huffed, loudly. "Well, that's just stupid. How could the one on Earth be named after the one on Venus if we didn't even discover planets until like," wait, when did they discover planets? A long time ago, sure, but when did they actually start seeing them? ********; astronomy was not her strong suit. "—You know," she interjected herself. "—Like, when did we have telescopes that could even see that far away? I'm pretty sure anything on Venus was named after Earth," she countered, already agitated, herself. "—And what are you going on about, cover up? What the hell could they be covering up?"
Was there even anything on Venus for the government to want to cover up? She'd thought it was just a barren, deserted planet. It wasn't like some delicious political scandal—who would want to hear about some cover up on Venus?
Aside from like, maybe George Lucas or real scientists or something, but that guy was high on space. And money.
