The truth of the matter was that Super Sailor Tsui, proud Senshi of Tigers and general butt-kicker of the bad guys, had a test that she should have been studying for, but such matters were trivial to her. Though her patrols had been pretty uneventful for the most part, she'd rather take her chances with a youma or perhaps a General or Eternal Dark Mirror than to take to the books for a second more. It hadn't taken Tsui long to suit up and make the slip, leaving a note for her sister that she was off studying and that she'd be back soonish. A little white lie, as white as parts of her fuku, but it wasn't completely false. She WAS studying. Studying the patrol routes of members of the Chaos faction or the hunting habits of youma, that is. The safety of the citizens of Destiny City and the gathering of valuable intel was very, very important. Besides, it wasn't like Tsui was going to go to college anyway... that's assuming she'd survive this stupid war long enough to MAKE it to college. It was looking to be a boring night indeed, as Tsui made her way to the park and found a nice tree to perch herself up in. Surprisingly enough, there was no one else there, though some squirrels were likely sleeping or in hiding. There, Tsui kept her senses on alert and looked around, keeping her golden eyes peeled for any sign of trouble, or, perhaps, a friendly face. "Never hurts to have more friends..." So, Tsui waited, hiding in the trees much like the animal of her sphere... though, at this height, perhaps she was more like its cousin, the jaguar. A jaguar who was getting really, really antsy...

Attracted most by a rather peculiar aura, Aventine had been hoping to meet up with more of these so called 'knights' before she established a legitimate opinion on them. Of course, they had to be the good guys, and totally awesome, if not simply because she was among their ranks.
…Not that she really knew what that meant. She had been given a sort of lay down of what to expect and how to conduct herself, though in the grand scheme of things, she felt like a first grader who had accidentally been sent to high school. It was hard to fit in when you felt so obviously new. When things were taking so long to clique.
When you'd walked through the park to trace a peculiar order and then arrived to find absolutely nothing.
To say that Aventine was irked would be an understatement; she'd spent the past half hour feeling like she was being watched, though after several expletives and threats into the dark brush with no relief, she'd given up and trudged along, blaming paranoia (and maybe a few too-spooky houses she'd seen on the way).
She resisted the urge to stand still and tap her foot in irritation while she tried to figure out—A) what the aura was, and B) where the aura was.
Why should the bad auras be so easy to find while the good ones always eluded her! And what the hell was she doing wrong that she could be right on top of it and still not see anything!?
It didn't seem possible! It didn't seem fair!
...So Aventine did the thing she did best when confronted with an issue. She folded her arms across her chest, pursed her lips tightly, and huffed—loudly.

It wasn't hard to spot the newcomer at all; not many people walked around Destiny City dressed like that a mere two weeks before Halloween, and it was even more peculiar to see someone talking to a bush. Then again, Tsui wasn't the type to judge; she talked to a rat. Perhaps there was someone hiding in that bush after all, but Tsui could not sense anything from that area. She did feel the faintest touch of chaos aura coming from deeper within the park, but it would slip out as quickly as it slipped in. For now, this newcomer had her full attention. And it was hard NOT to give her Tsui's full attention, given her attire and her mannerisms. Tsui was going to jump down and introduce herself, but there was a playful side to the Senshi of Tigers, as she wanted to wait and see just how long it took her to find her. To give the newcomer credit, she did seem to be moving towards her, so that indicated that she had some idea of how to use her senses. 'Peculiar but lovely looking attire. I don't see a fuku or a bow, so she's not a Senshi. A page? That'd explain the aura I feel from her.'It was around the time that she was standing directly under her and gave a loud and obviously meant to be heard 'huff', and Tsui knew that she couldn't play hide and seek for much longer. This one was either a sourpuss or simple didn't like to be kept waiting, and who was Tsui to deny her an introduction. Though, she would have to accept a Tsui introduction, meaning, something flashy and fancy. "Make way!" Tsui shouted from above, hoping to not only get her attention but to warn her of her random leap, and with relative ease, Tsui managed to get at least three forward flips in before perfecting her landing. Arms spread and leg pivoted, she pretended to bow, before turning to face the young page. "How was that landing? Would you give it a 8, a 9... 10 perhaps?"

Just as Aventine was about to give up, turn around, and retrace her steps in hope of finding something better—bam!—there was that weird-a** aura finally making an appearance. Not that she was even able to be totally happy about it; that entrance might have scored at least an eight, but Aventine was so surprised that she was definitely docking points. And docking them for hiding in the first place, too. And jumping out to scare her without much of a warning.
Of course she should have looked up. Because that was clearly the best place for strangely costumed folk to spend their evenings. Well—wait, was it? …She might have to remember that for the future.
She immediately clutched her hat and scampered a few feet from the girl, turning to face her with a mixture of pleasure and disdain. "I give you a two!" she yelped, hastily trying to smooth her outfit out and regain composure. "What were you doing up there!?"

Tsui was more startled by just how much she had spooked the poor girl as opposed to the low score that she gave her, though Tsui was not going to overlook that. She gave a huff of her own, crossing her arms though her lopsided grin more or less gave away her jesting nature as she spat, "Hm! I didn't know the Eastern Europe judges were still allowed, given how they don't seem to like anything!" This gave Tsui the time she needed to look over her new ally, and Tsui had to admit that her attired was definitely pleasant to look at. Downright cute, even, though nothing could match Sutai's puffs of fur and baby blue dress or the chimes in her hair. Tsui forced herself to focus, and she answered the Page's question, any form of malice long since gone from her voice. "It's a good, strategic move, really. The one with the higher ground has a better view of the surroundings so they know the terrain and the enemy's movement better. Or, so I'm told. Honestly, it was the best place to hide, and besides, it's only natural that I'd be up there." She extended her hand in greeting, hoping that she had calmed down enough to where she'd be able to introduce herself as well. "The name is Super Sailot Tsui, Senshi of Tigers. What's your name?"

Aventine still had a hand pressed to her chest, as if to still her heart. Now that people weren't jumping out and surprising her, she felt much calmer—especially now that she had a name to the face. "…Tigers," she said after a short second. "…All right, yeah. I'll forgive you for being up in a tree, but don't think I'm gonna let you get away with jumping out at me like that! I'll get you back. One of these days," she grumbled, though didn't seem unfriendly about the whole affair.
It was obvious that she wasn't pleased at being startled; the faint red hue across her cheeks was sign of her embarrassment. She took Tsui's hand and gave it an enthusiastic shake, donning a friendly smile in the process. "Aventine, Page of Venus. I'd say good to meet you, but I think you might have popped a few weeks off of my life," she said, light, sheepish chuckle falling from her lips.

The Senshi of Tigers wasn't sure what to make of the page, but she admired the girl for her rather bold proclamation of revenge. Tsui wasn't sure what to make of it; it came out in a friendly tone, but then again, what would she have done in someone did the same to her? Then again, Tsui wasn't nearly as skittish as Aventine was, but she didn't think ill of her for it. Sometimes there was an advantage for being cautious... something Tsui needed a lesson in still but that was a fight for another day. "Aventine? That's a strong name, which means that you must be a strong page, or will be, with training and hard work." It was Tsui's way of apologizing for scaring the girl, without having to go through the hassle of apologizing. Not that it was beneath her, but she wanted to appear strong for the page, reassure her that she was an ally and that she had nothing to fear from her. "Are you new, or have you been in hiding all this time? I'm might be at Super rank, but I'm still learning faces myself." She didn't see her during the ambush, that was for certain, though that could have easily have been because she was a little 'preoccupied'. She was hesitant to bring it up, though... just in case. If the girl was shaken up from a simple pounce, she couldn't imagine how she'd be after that event.

Damn straight, she'd be a strong page. She hadn't considered the name to be strong, but—hell. She hadn't been really sure of her strength when she was dressed in gaudy pink. Inwardly, she might not have been much of a pink girl, but there was no denying that she was fond of her outfit. It was colorful—lively. Gorgeous, she'd say. And of her weapon? How was that any hint of 'strong'? What was she going to do, spritz someone into submission? It wasn't even an offensive aroma!
"Super?" she prompted, wondering if that explained the stronger aura. She shook her head, hastening to answer the senshi's questions. "Uhm—yeah, new. Well, sort of. It's—I met up with Caelian a few days ago, there was this youma chasing us and—well, that's a whole other story."
She cleared her throat, wishing she'd been prepared for a show and tell. Thankfully, however, this girl seemed friendly enough when she wasn't trying to scare her. "I guess, technically, yeah—I'm new. It's been about a week. Why, how long have you been doing it for?"
Casually, she brushed her hair over her shoulder, taking on a more comfortable stance now that she had a reason to want to stay and chat.

"Since February, I think, and going strong!" Tsui gave her bicep a playful flex, though it was more for show than anything else. Though, Aventine still appeared confused, and now that she admitted to being a page for a week, Tsui definitely knew why. So, she grew serious, but she still managed to keep a firm smile present, in hopes of relieving any tension that might have lingered between them. "Well, since you haven't been a page long, I can probably guess that you haven't met a Sailor Senshi before, have you? Or at least not a White Moon senshi..." Her smile faded at the very thought of if Aventine had run into a Dark Mirror Senshi, and her concern reflected in her golden eyes as they grew cold for a second. "Bit of advice. If you see someone that looks similar to me but dressed in black, then stay away from them. Dark Mirror Senshi don't take kindly to pages, squires or knights. At all." No, she knew it would probably scare her, but Tsui figured that there had to be some way of her to get through to her just how dangerous they were to someone of her status. She regained some bit of her friendly composure before the fear could get too far, and she pointed to herself. "I'm a member of the White Moon Court, and we're your allies. So if you need any butts to be kicked, we're here to help offer you a few boots, and some magic as well."

"Magic," Aventine mused, seeming sort of thoughtful. Well, if there could be giant monsters and over the top transformations, sure—magic. Why not.
"Well, all right, I'll keep that in mind. I met one—Aurora. A Dark Mirror Senshi? She said she was new and all, but she didn't like, outright attack me." She'd been more interested in chatting, though if the Dark Mirror Court was as bad as Tsui was saying, then she would definitely have to keep her guard up. Shaking her head, she figured she should utilize the experience of this girl to help her get a better grip of things. "So—since February? That's a long time! How do you, you know. Balance it?" she asked, not quite certain how she should be phrasing her question. "I mean, being Tsui and doing this whole 'White Moon Court' gig you've got going on…and then the rest of your life. The normal part of your life…"
She didn't know how else to describe it; one day she'd been just plain old (fabulous) Anella Harwood, and now she was decked out in this new outfit, with this new identity, and was still trying to make sense of it all.

Tsui arched a single eyebrow and her expression was that of intrigue. "Aurora, you say? She might be new, too... which means that they haven't filled her head with enough Chaos... which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Might be hope for that girl yet..." She felt bad to make such a judgment on that, but she promised she'd try for a more peaceful resolution to this conflict. She owed that much to those present at the meeting, and Sutai. She forced her attention back to Aventine, her question taking her by surprise but answering with nothing but honesty, as one would expect from the Senshi of Tigers. She had no reason to lie or sugarcoat anything. "I simply decide what's more important and stick with that. Right now, I think playing this Senshi gig and keeping Destiny City safe is more important than schoolwork and other things. The person I am when I take off my attire doesn't really have much going for her anyway, so I figure it's best that I put the bulk of my attention on being the best Senshi that I can be." It may not have been a very satisfactory answer for those seeking enlightenment, but Tsui always considered herself a Senshi, before a civilian... not to say that her life as Gwendolyn Caspian was a terrible one, but with the rising tensions between herself and 'him', playing the role of a warrior from space was a much easier life and escape. "Now, what works best for me may not work best for everyone, but I think-" She felt a dark presence and the hair on the back of her neck was rising, which meant that there was some kind of Chaos aura lingering about, just stepping into her range. She looked away from Aventine and towards the direction it was coming from, and she gave a humored chuckle. "Looks like there's trouble brewing. Say, have you ever defeated a youma before?" Assuming she knew what a youma was, that is... she kept her head turned towards the lingering presence, but her eyes were on Aventine, trying not to let her see the rather hardy grin that she wore. This night would be very interesting indeed!

"Of course I've defeated a youma!" the page huffed; she was new, but certainly not that new!"
…It didn't mean she was totally prepared for them, though. Caelian had handled the youma that attacked her with such proficiency, such grace; Aventine wouldn't mind if she could mimic such. Her actions were brutish—far from such elegance. She turned her gaze to where Tsui had directed her attention, though even with the threat of a youma, she was mulling over her words.
Tsui's honesty forced her to take them to heart. There were people out here who valued this job more than they valued their own daily lives, it seemed. People who might even give up who they were beneath all the power and magic if it meant they got to stay this way.
The thought was confounding to Aventine, who hadn't lived enough to want to give up the things she enjoyed so much as a civilian. It wasn't that she didn't want to try to do this to the best of her ability, just that she suddenly wondered if she'd ever have the same dedication that Tsui seemed to hold. It was honorable—valiant. She was willing to sacrifice her real life to keep this one up?
…At least this way you got to feel like a hero. Assuming you weren't losing all your battles and floundering about, of course.
"…Youma…look different, every time I see them. Do they all have the same weaknesses or is it just kinda…you wail on them and hope you get lucky? Because, I've pretty much kept to push and shove, but man, it takes forever!"
She looked own at the little perfume bottle that had gotten her into this whole mess. It wasn't even good in battle.

"I've fought my fair share of youma, and I can tell you that they're about as many different youma out there as there are stars in the sky, each one with a different array of built in weapons, a different method of attack, and an ongoing appetite for energy," Tsui explained, sensing out the youma and moving swiftly, only looking back to make sure that Aventine was keeping up with her well enough. The last thing she wanted to do was leave poor Aventine in the dust when there was a youma on the loose. "The worst one I've ever fought was this tentacle creature that tried to drag me into a swimming pool when I had this gaping hole in my side... took a lot of my considerable strength to pull myself out of that one, but I managed okay, I think. All things considered." No, Tsui didn't stop to consider what side effect her retelling would have on Aventine; it was meant to encourage the page that no matter how touch a situation or youma might be, that there was always a way to come out on top if one was willing to push themselves hard enough. Would Aventine take it that way? Tsui couldn't tell, but she was certain of one thing: this youma wasn't going to escape or hurt anyone ever again. Not if Tsui could help it. They came across a familiar abandoned strip mall, a spot that Tsui had battled a Dark Mirror Senshi before, and lost due to lack of range (and perhaps some inexperience at the time), and while it was sad to see it still under renovation, it did seem to be much cleaner than the last time she was here. She wanted to take the time to point to the spot that she was knocked unconscious, but the sight of the youma was a good distraction. It was slender, tall, and it dragged its arms behind it as it snorted around the area, sniffing around for energy. Perhaps a hobo had resided here, or some hoodigan that had no idea it was going to provide the Negaverse with his lifeforce? Either way, it had spotted Tsui and Aventine and gave a growl, before scuffling towards them. "I'm dubbing this one Longarms." Tsui said, curling her fist and trying to come up with a plan of attack. She had no idea of Aventine's experience or what her battle tactics were, but for now she'd play the role of distraction, and what better way to gain someone's full and undivided attention than punching it square in the face? "As for its weakness... guess we'll have to figure it out, and fast!"

Tentacle monster? Trying to drown her? No, thank you! And a hole in her side? What the hell? Talk about horror stories. And if just imagining it wasn't bad enough, now she had to deal with another youma?
…On the bright side, there were neither any pools nor tentacles that she could see, and Tsui seemed to have no fear in dealing with it.
Aventine was not particularly easy to shake, but a part of her had been straining to make her place in this war. She was new, but it wasn't going to be that way forever. She figured that this was a good experience—she had someone stronger than her. She had always been a hands on person—a doer before a thinker. "Longarms, cute," she said, eyeing the youma warily. "…Well, you want to whip up some of that magic you were talking about earlier, or do we just go at it old school?" she asked; she tucked her bulbous little perfume bottle between the cleavage of her uniform, sure that it would stay safe there while letting her use her fists.
When it was safe, she cracked her knuckles and stood tall, brows slightly knit as she tried to sort out where best to attack the youma. It wasn't like a human, where you knew to go for the groin—these things were different. Different was definitely not always good.

It seemed that Tsui and Aventine were very much alike when it came to battle strategy, as Tsui was definitely the type to think with her fists, and her fist was going to do a lot of thinking today, as it smashed against the youma's flat face and sent it tumbling backwards, but not taking it out entirely. It gave a muffled groan and corrected its posture, letting Tsui and Aventine know that it would take more than a simple punch to dust this one. When Aventine mentioned magic, Tsui was more than happy to oblige, and she motioned for the page to back away, before she focused her attention back to the youma that lumbered towards them. She wasn't too worried for their safety yet- now, if it was able to shrug off her Striking Tiger Flurry, then Tsui would look for an alternative method for the both of them, but for now, she was confident that she'd at least stun it. "One magic spell, coming right up!" "Striking Tiger Flurry!" White aura gathered in her hands as she charged forward, slamming the X shaped blow right in the middle of Longarms' chest and flipping over it, spinning about in midfall to get a good look at the damage she might have caused. Like she hoped, Longarms was pushed back and the way his body twitched told both of them that he was stunned. But not for long. "Now, while he's stunned! Aim for his chest with a kick or a punch, or throw something at it! I should have weakened it with that attack!" Tsui was going to give the page the honor of finishing off the youma, if at all possible. Unusual for her, yes, but she wanted to make sure that her allies had what it took to survive out there, so that another massacre would never occur. Not if she could help it!
