 The island of Berk is now inhabited by many dragons of different varieties: Monstrous Nightmares, Gronckles, Deadly Nadders, you name it and you can probably get it in a variety of colors. Except for one, the Night Fury. As far as anyone knows, there's only one in existence. None emerged from the mountain on dragon island, none have been seen since. Common belief therefore is that Toothless is the only one left. However, all this is about to change. As it turns out, Hiccup isn't the only one to have figured out that dragons aren't mindless killing machines or thieves, but truly intricate beings. A young girl by the name of Brynja Tórfadóttir has discovered this as well. Unlike the inhabitants of Berk however, her home people refuse to see reason and still continue to slaughter the dragons, so Brynja left them and, after hearing from a different island rumors of the dragon riders of Berk, has made her way there. What's more, she has a Night Fury, and not just a Night Fury, a female.

 ╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Runa Galesdóttir held her cloak around her tightly as the waves crashed beneath her, their sound the only thing she could hear aside from flapping wings. She sat astride a magnificent Dragon by the name of Myrkrinu Stjörnugjöf, a name of fear given to her by the people they were escaping that seemed to have just stuck. She looked around. As of now, all she could see was darkness and she was weary. She knew Myrkrinu was as well. Her once zealous wings were now held out for gliding. Runa reached to scratch the top of her dragons head between two of the brightest blue stripes. "Hold on, we should be getting there soon!" She called over the waves. The sea was rowdy this night and the air was cold, but it let off drafts to help the dragon remain airborne, so Runa supposed she was thankful for it. However, she was beginning to despair. They'd been flying for quite a time and she didn't know how much longer Myrkrinu could go. If they crashed into the sea, neither would survive the night. It was then that lights appeared behind a crashing wave in the distance, as though the sea had just allowed the island to emerge. Runa's heart swelled at the sight and she patted Myrkrinu as she seemed to summon whatever energy she had left to propel them further and faster. When they finally made it to the island, they saw that the only lights still lit were watch lights and decided it wasn't the best idea to drop in in the middle of the night on a sleeping viking town. The exhausted twosome circled around the island, out of the light, before finding a dark cliff edge. Myrkrinu didn't so much land on the outcropping as crash onto it, sending Runa tumbling off of her back. The dragon lay there panting on her side as Runa stood shakily, her numb and stiff legs not wanting to hold her weight. She wobbled over to Myrkrinu and pushed against her side. There was a small opening in a nearby rock face, just big enough for the two of them, and that was where they needed to stay until Myrkrinu had recovered. She finally got her up and into the cave before laying up against her side. Her scales were freezing at first, but quickly warmed up thanks to her inner fire.We made it... was the last thought to cross Runa's mind before sleep overtook her.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════╝╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

(Do I need to decorate my posts?) Hiccup looked around as he noticed that Toothless was getting worked up as he seemed to be hoping around the stone that he slept on, "What has gotten into you tonight?" He asked but soon Hiccup noticed that Toothless jumped out of the window onto the roof and looked as if he was listening to how their was a crash near the village. Soon Hiccup fell asleep and the next morning, as the sun was barely started to rise, Toothless began to nuzzle Hiccup awake before he got up, "Alright... im up, im up..." he said before getting dressed and walking out with Toothless but upon getting on his back, Toothless ran off and soon began to soar through the air, Hiccup did his best to keep the dragon's tail wing in sync with his flight, "Where are we going!?" He asked confused. Soon Hiccup could see that they were flying around the island fast, Toothless seemed to be searching for something. Hiccup didn't understand but suddenly Toothless dropped down, "Ahh! Toothless!?" He screamed a bit before Toothless soon leveled out and slowed as he soon landed and began to look around, their looked as if something crashed nearby. Hiccup began to search around but soon noticed a cave, seeing something inside as did Toothless. They walked over but Hiccup was shocked to see what was inside, "Is that a girl and a nightfury!?" He asked before he ran up to them, "Hello... are you two okay!?" He asked wondering if they stayed out in this cave during the night, it was cold outside during the night.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Runa heard shouts, but they were muffled, as though she were hearing them through so much cotton. Still, her mind eventually registered that those shouts were probably coming from a human, and as her fuzzy brain recalled, they tended to go after Myrkrinu, who still was breathing softly and deeply behind her. It was this that made eyes snap open and made her reach for her dagger as she rolled to a standing, fighting position. She raised the dagger before her mind caught up and she realized that there, standing before her, was a Night Fury, and with this Night Fury a young boy. She relaxed and replaced her dagger in it's sheath at her hip. "Are we...?" She said, replaying his shout before her eyes widened and she dropped to her knees before her own Night Fury. She lifted its head to her own face. "Myrkrinu!" She said loudly, searching the dragons unresponsive face. She began shaking the large head rapidly before rolling up one of her eyelids. At first the eye remained rolled back, but after a moment it rolled slowly forward and contracted in the morning light before the other eye opened up lazily. The girl smiled with relief and nuzzled the Night Fury's scaly face. "Good to see you're alright." She said, before returning her attention to the boy as Myrkrinu stood stiffly with an enormous yawn. Runa stood up stalk straight and placed a hand on her chest before bowing. "I am called Runa Galesdóttir." She said, opening an eye to look up at him. "And judging by your impressive friend there, this is the island of Berk?" she said hopefully.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════╝╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Hiccup looked at her as she soon began to wake up before springing up with her dagger making him raise his hands to show that he meant no harm, "Woo... hold on..." He said backing up slightly before he thought about how she yelled before rushing to her nightfury. Toothless watched curiously but soon he noticed that she moved before he went and jumped off. He had rushed to the village and soon came back with a thing of fish which Hiccup found to be a good idea. Hiccup looked at her when she walked up to him, "Its a pleasure Runa... you can call me Hiccup." He said bowing the same thinking that it must be a standard gesture before he thought about it, "Yes... this is the island of berk." he said confirming her hopes that she was on the island that has accepted dragons. He soon went and got some firewood so that he could cook some fish for Runa but the rest of the fish would be for her night fury.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Runa waited until Hiccup was out of sight before clutching her fists to her chest and letting out a quiet but excited squeak as she turned to Myrkrinu, who was still looking tired but not as much as the night before. "We can relax here Myrkrinu! No one's going to try to stab you or tie you up, you won't have to hide." She said, rubbing her face on the dragons. She turned suddenly then to Toothless but didn't approach him. Instead she held her hand out and remained next to Myrkrinu. "Hi there." She said cheerfully, waiting to allow him to come to her. Myrkrinu was eyeing the male behind her rider.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════╝╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Hiccup was cooking the fish when he noticed toothless moving closer but slowly towards Runa. Soon he moved close enough that her hand was resting on his head before he thought about it, "Hmm... looks like he likes you." He said as Toothless sat down and began to look at both Runa and then at Myrkrinu that was still trying to wake up but Toothless picked up the large plate of fish and carried it close to Myrkrinu before placing it near her and then backed up, giving her room but the fish were for her to eat as much as she wanted.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Runa smiled and scratched Toothless' scaly head. "I'm glad he does." She said before going to retrieve her cloak and then joining Hiccup by his fire, still keeping an eye on the dragons. She was relieved when Myrkrinu did not reject the food Toothless brought her but instead let out a throaty purr of thanks. She was proud when it came to being self-sufficient, but she wasn't stupid and knew they couldn't go fishing with her being this tired. Runa looked back to Hiccup then. "All of your people are like this, right?" She asked, her hands on the ankles of her folded legs.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════╝╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Hiccup turned and watched as she scratched Toothless' head but soon when she joined him, he watched as Myrkrinu ate but soon Hiccup was confused by her question, "What do you mean?" he asked not exactly sure by what she had meant. He soon began to wonder if she meant where they were like Hiccup, that was a no.

"I mean, that's what I was told, but if not..." She said, looking back to Myrkrinu, who looked up at her, her ears perked. "I just assumed I was told correctly because of your dragon here..." She said, thinking. If she was wrong, then hopefully he was like her and maybe they could go off together. Either way they'd need to leave. Runs stood at once and began checking the Myrkrinu's gear was prepared for a sudden and hasty take off.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════╝╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Hiccup heard what she said and smiled, "I don't see why you have to be so tense... and I wouldn't say that they have accepted the dragons but yes, we have learned to live together with dragons." He said reassuring her as he began to think about how this was as she was worried about being in places where her dragon wasn't allowed to be. He thought that it reminded him of himself about how she wanted to protect her nightwing, he wanted to protect Toothless as much as he could.

╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╗╔══════════════════════════════════════════════════╗Runa relaxed a bit, putting her bow down across Myrkrinu's back, who'd abandoned the remainder of her food in all the sudden excitement. Runa's brow furrowed and she looked at him, her face completely straight. "Will they hurt her?" She asked, making sure to make the question as clear and bold as possible. As she spoke, her hand strayed to a spot directly beneath Myrkrinu's ear, where a round and wide scar could just be seen. There were no scales there, only tough scar tissue.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════╝╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝

Hiccup heard what she said but he thought about it as he shook his head, "They shouldn't... they haven't hurt any other dragons as long as they don't hurt anybody else." he said thinking about how no dragons have been truly hurt unless they are playing with each other and crash into a building.

She pulled her knees up to her chest and rested her chin on them. "Good Once Myrkrinu is rested enough, we need to go find this dragon trainer everyone's talking about." She said, to herself more than Hiccup, and closed her eyes, pulling her cloak around her as Myrkrinu came to lay next to her.╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════╝╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝
