The night had been long and exhausting. Okay so, realistically... All Hannah had to do was show up to the art gallery looking pretty. And let's be honest- looking pretty wasn't exactly hard work for her (at least not in her mind). But walking around in sky-high heels was hard work, right?
She twirled a strand of perfectly curled pink hair around her left index finger as she walked along the dark streets of Destiny City. Hannah hadn't realized how late it had been when she finally left the art gala, surprised as she glanced down at the watch upon her wrist.
Her lips pursed as she thought for a moment about her plan. She was only a block or so away from home, so walking home was an option... Not one that she was particularly fond of, but she found it hard to find a reason not to. Her heels clicked loudly and echoed through the street as she made her way home.

The art gallery had been...dreadfully boring while the artist himself had been positively droll. It was without a doubt a night he could have done over again and left out the gallery trip. He hadn't heard a thing about the artist of the evening till tonight, and he had tried finding out about them, and had heard nothing. He hadn't been prepared for the modern art which had assaulted him or the annoying, loud, people who had filled the place. Alexandre would have left if not for one or two people who had caught his attention, one of them because they were someone he knew from other gallery's he went to, the other was someone who had caught his attention only recently and for reasons that were of a nefarious nature.
The night had been spent between talking to the friend and watching, stalking, the pink haired female. He stalked her right out of the gallery and down the street. Listening to her heels clicking the whole while. Slipping into an alley way he powered up and stepping back onto the side walk continued his mostly silent stalking. If she turned around though she'd be in for quite the sight, and he really didn't care if she did turn around and see him. He had plans for her this evening and in the end it wouldn't matter if she saw him and knew who, and more importantly what, he was as she would be like him by evenings end. The click of her heels mostly covered up the sound of his own heeled boots as he kept time with her step.
How long till she turned and saw him? How long till she felt herself being stalked and stopped dead in her tracks and looked around?

Hannah's eyes narrowed to slits as she felt something. She stopped in her tracks and waited for a brief moment, listening. When she heard nothing, she shrugged it off as the wind and her over-active imagination. But just in case, her hand slipped into her clutch and carefully pulled out the pepper spray in it's pink canister that she kept with her at all times.
Smiling to herself, she continued on her way. That's when she heard it- when the familiar clicking of her heels resumed, the sound of someone else walking wasn't quite the same timing as her own steps. She stopped a second time and twirled on her heel, her right hand extended and index finger on the trigger of her pepper spray.
She yelped when she saw Benitoite stalking close behind her, her eyes widening.
"Don't get any closer. I will not hesitate to spray you! I am fully capable of defending myself!" Her voice was high pitched and she was doing everything in her power to make sure her hand didn't tremble and show her fear.

It was hard to copy steps when the other person was taller, it really was hard for his shorter legs to do the task properly. He could come close, had come close, but he simply couldn't do it perfectly. Taken by surprise by the figure spinning round on him he stared, eyes slightly wider, damn.
Collecting himself a small half smile, half smirk, crossed his young features. "Bravo, not many women can honestly claim that. I wonder though if you really can. But that's a matter for another evening. Tonight I have an offer for you...one I hope you consider fully." He spoke, having stopped in his place. He stood in front of her, short and petite, but seemingly capable of something...and not as much a child as he appeared to be in years. "You should put your...toy away. It won't do much to me I assure you." He could easily teleport and leave her spraying it at the air, though he might just not be fast enough; he wouldn't tell her that though.

"I'm not like most women," Hannah spat at the stranger. Act brave and he'll think you're brave, she told herself over and over in her head. "And I have no interest in your offer." She turned on her heel once again and began to walk away. "Have a wonderful evening, sir!" She called over her shoulder. Taking a deep, shaky breath, she continued on her way hoping that the creepy man wouldn't continue to follow her. Nervous that he wouldn't go away, she picked up the pace of her stride and dipped into an alley to try to lose him.

Oh he wouldn't be following her this time, he wasn't in the mood to let her leave nor ignore him. She really had been a bit rude but he supposed following her, as he had, wasn't the nicest of things to do either. The thought however was brushed aside in favor of duty, and making his offer to her.
Taking a few steps to follow her he vanished as his foot hit the pavement for the fifth time. When he reappeared it was in front of her, not close enough for her to run into him; though she might walk into him. "I did wish to speak, it is rather rude to walk off when someone wishes to have a mere word with you." He said, his voice carrying a scolding note to it.
"Tell me...what do you think of the destruction of our city and the terrorists causing it. Who is it you believe to be causing this utter destruction?" He questioned, hoping his words would grab and hold her attention so she wouldn't walk off again, or worst yet attack him.

Hannah stopped dead in her tracks when Benitoite suddenly appeared in front of her. "Oh God..." she whispered under her breath, taking the slightest step backwards. Her right hand was clamped into a fist, gripping her pepper spray tightly, her palm sweaty. This could only end badly. "It is rather rude to follow a girl home and refuse to leave her alone when she has clearly expressed that she wants nothing to do with you or your offer," she snapped back at him. What on earth was going on? Who was this guy and what could he possibly want with her? As she was about to turn away from him a second time, she stopped. "I think that these terrorists need to crawl back into the holes they all crawled out of, with their mini skirts and tiaras and all. But that is neither here, nor there. What do you want?" Hannah narrowed her grey eyes at the man.

Smiling at her he took a step forward. "I had hoped for an answer like that. It is unfortunate they won't do as you wish, they need to be dealt with in a more personal manner. That's what I do, and others of course." Calmly he spoke as he stood unmoving now as he waited and watched her, planned his next words.
Finally he spoke again. "It is a war that this city has found itself the battle ground for. A battle between us and them. Terrorists who think they have a right to this city and are fighting for the good of everyone, an ancient war brought to the modern time." If he went into the history, what he knew of it, he knew she'd think him insane. It was understandable really, and he didn't think ill of her for how she'd view it if he spoke the whole truth to her.
"What would you say if I offered you the ability to help handle these terrorists? Would you take it? Would you stand up and fight them back? To protect this city." Was this fight going on anywhere else in the world? He'd never heard of it happening elsewhere, not online at least. "You see, I didn't follow you to be rude but rather to offer you something potentially great."

"That's a really great story and all, but my parents never taught me to take candy from strangers. And this whole creepy dude in a trenchcoat wanting to make me an offer thing just doesn't sit right with me. I'm sorry to disappoint you," Truth be told, Hannah already thought this guy was crazy. "I don't know if you've noticed, whatever your name is, but I wear skirts and heels. I do makeup for a living. I don't parade around Destiny City prepared to fight any sort of war, let alone one against Terrorists. And isn't that what the police are for? To protect the city? Or you know, the military?" She waved a dismissive hand in the air. "I think you've mistaken me for someone else, sir. My apologies."

Laughing he shook his head slowly. "And you've seen the cops, or the military for that matter, do anything about what's been happening in this city? All they've done is talk and that hasn't stopped, or done, anything as I'm sure you've noticed. Unless I misjudged you, which I doubt I have." All this was said calmly, cooly even, as the teen stood watching her.
"No, I haven't mistaken you for anyone else - trust me on that. In fact I would say I can prove to you that my words hold weight - that I'm not crazy nor am I offering the impossible. If I showed you what I can do..." He trailed off as he hoped he could win her interest. It was good that she wasn't a sheep but still.
Holding out his hands he wasn't looking to touch her, take her hand, or anything else. Rather it seemed he was waiting something and that wait was quite short. What appeared resting across his open hands, the handle laying across his open palms, was a lovely though painful looking weapon. "I know what you do and who you are. That doesn't mean you can't become the same as I have - or others have. We have members who walk all different paths."

Hannah narrowed her eyes at him as she thought about what he was saying to her. This guy seemingly knew everything about her. And if she was being honest with herself, she'd admit that there was some truth to what he had said. Her eyes widened when the weapon appeared in his hands and she took a step backwards away from him. She dropped her pepperspray to the ground as she held her hands in front of her, signaling that she meant no harm. "Don't hurt me," her eyes went from his weapon to his eyes. "I don't... I don't understand what use you think I have. I don't understand how I can be useful in a war. I don't know how to fight. Do you need someone do makeup? I can be hired for that. Is it a money thing? I have plenty." If only Hannah had a clue what she had in store for her in the Negaverse.

"I won't, just a showering of the power some people have accepted in order to handle the terrorists who destroy our city. I wouldn't hurt someone I seek to bring into the fold - if it's your will to join." He wouldn't force it, he never would. He had once thought of forcing that senshi of spiders but he'd changed in his ways. You wouldn't have a loyal, capable, person if it was forced.
Shaking his head his weapon vanishing he let his hands drop to his sides. "Every person counts. Not to mention having people in various places - adults - helps. We don't just fight against the enemy but we also do seek to bring civilians onto our side, subtly have them believe the skirt wearing ones are the enemy - it's not like they aren't. I'm sure that if you want to do make up you can find some members who would like that as well." The last part an offer for her to do what she was good at, and enjoyed obviously.
"You can learn to fight, you'll need to. This is war after all. You won't be alone or left to learn things on your own or sink. That won't happen."

Hannah crossed her arms over her chest as she listened to his case. "Fine. I'm willing to listen. Who are you, what are you trying to offer me, and what exactly do I have to do?" Her eyebrows raised as she was beginning to lose patience. "You've at least managed to get my attention and I haven't called the police for you stalking me yet. There was only so much standing in a dark place alone with some guy in the middle of the night when it was cold that Hannah could (or would) handle. If he didn't get on with it soon, Hannah was going to walk away. She should've just peppersprayed him from the get-go.

"You can call me Benitoite, for the moment rank isn't important." It would be though; soon."As for what you have to do it's simple. Once I give you the power I have you will learn to fight and learn about the war and the enemy we face. You will also learn of your duties - they are nothing hard I assure you." Energy gathering was easy, almost mundane at this point. It only got interesting when a senshi or knight showed up, or some fellow agent of chaos turned up.
"Do you want it? To join this war? I can give you the power now." He said getting to the point, wanting to know. He didn't want to spend too long like this with a civilian and risk some senshi or knight turning up and ruining this, as he was sure a fight would ruin things. He would not have his plans foiled.

Hannah studied the man for a long while as they stood in complete silence. Did she believe a word he said about this magic bullshit? Nope. So what was the harm in saying yes and going on her merry way? Her arms unfolded from across her chest and she took a step towards him. "Alright magical man, do your worst." This guy was complete and utterly nuts. Just get this over-with so I can go home.
