Ankmalias was there the day the music began; she was there when the Heavenly Host was created. She and her brother were the first, and they watched their brothers and sisters come into the world of silver and spires of glass.
All was well in Heaven as their Master and his kin created the human race. It was a time of peace, reverence, and worship. But beneath the beauty and semblance of calm Heaven was rising to discord. Too soon the Heavenly Host became divided. Those who wished for more power fought to overthrow the monarchy of Heaven, and war broke out. Ankmalias and her brother Rastinith led the Heavenly Host still loyal to the monarchy against their traitorous brothers. After Lilith, Lucifer, and their followers fell to their prison, Earth, and were stripped of their wings to be proclaimed Grigori; the Fallen. In a fluke of their own making, the Seraphs created what they would later seek to destroy, the demonic offspring to be known as the Nephilum.
It was too late for them to stop. The Fallen paired with mortals, Lilith stole Adam from his wife and Lucifer chose a woman named Kali, and their offspring became more than human. They were tainted, spoiled, broken. The seed of evil had been planted in the mortal race, and now the Seraph had a new enemy. The Nephilum needed destroyed. Ankmalia and her brother were sent to Earth with a small host of Seraph to destroy the new race of monster. At first it was by the sword, and then by flood, and then by the fire in Sodom and Gamorra. But the creatures surged on like pestilence. With every killed two more took their place. Lilith and her followers raised their children to destroy the Seraph and their forces.
The first war between the two sides began after the fall of Israel to Azazel’s armies during the Crusades. On the battlefields that would later become known as Iraq and Turkey, hordes of Nephilum clashed with Crusaders, Seraph, Guardians and Enmortals. The massacre was written in history as one of the bloodiest of era. Paranormals were seemingly wiped out and the Guardians bound Lilith to one of their children; Raleigh daughter of Viviane. Her kin left the world of the mortals, and Ankmalis remained behind with her brother should the Nephilum ever rise again.
It was during the Crusades that Ankmalias created the Hunters. She trained the humans with her brother to fight and track the Nephilum across the globe. The organization has survived into the modern day, with Ankmalias and her brother in the lead. That is, until Rastinith discovered some truths best kept hidden.
When Jerusalem was still under Christian control Rastinith resided there to keep the Nephilum out of God’s City. It was there that he fell in love with a mortal named Anna. Ankmalias was disgusted. How could he, leader of the Seraph, fall for such a weak being? When the armies of Azazel reached the gates of Jerusalem, Ankmalias murdered Anna under the pretense of the killer being a Nephilum or one of the Fallen. Rastinith turned to blood shed to hide the grief.
It was not for two thousand year that he discovered this. Ankmalias kept it hidden until her brother feel for Shaniqua Daniels, a vampire fledgling who remained a Hunter only because of her usefulness. Harsh words were exchanged, and Ankmalias lost her cool and snapped out the truth. She could kill Shaniqua just as she had killed Anna. Rastinith had nearly destroyed the Hunter base in the Vatican, earthquakes shaking the city above as he fled. He never returned to the Hunters, and Ankmalias found herself ruling without her brother.

She nearly killed Shaniqua the moment the fledgling arrived with her brother. But it was not the time, and destroying Shaniqua could wait until after the battles.
Once more the Grigori assaulted the mortal race. Malia was there when Sahara Grei, the most recent reincarnation of Raleigh, fought alongside Setsuna Jackson to destroy the Mother of Demons. When the battle ended, she found herself alongside her brother and his fiancé. Malia left before either of them could say a word. She would have killed them otherwise.
She remained avoiding the two for the time, until a meet was called in Central Park. The Paranormal races would be gathering. Malia could not afford to miss it, such decisions could alter the balance of the world. Upon arriving, she was greeted with a blast of dark energy and knocked unconscious. Waking, she found herself at three foot, six inches and cute as a button. Apparently while trying to save her, Rastinith, Miro Seldevik the vampyre and his paramour Sabine Du Croix of the Lycans. Far worse, she could actually feel herself thinking younger.
The transformation was used to its advantages by Miro. Malia was taken to the CPRD headquarters, her powers bound by Rastinith to be used without harming those not attempting to do the same to her. Now she must come to the accords that she is experiencing something she never had, a childhood, while Miro attempts to rewrite her ideals on the Nephilum. Meanwhile the Hunters have turned their actions against the Nephilum full force, for they believe Ankmalias is dead.
