Yes, it was hard to be bored on this island. Why? Because if you were bored there was always s**t to do. Duties, training, anything. But sometimes even that apparently got boring. Candace had done enough training and working out for the day. She was tired of it! But what now? She still had one duty left for the day.. Underwater Observation. On a regular day she'd be totally okay with it. Hell, Candace kind of liked this duty. On a day she was feeling bored and restless? There was no ******** way she was doing this by herself. Who to bother..who wouldn't turn her down because they knew this duty was boring as hell? Though nothing could be quite as boring as Sleepers duty. Candace had only one option. Her little goddess divine. Text to Molly I need to do something super boring. ): Will you meet me outside the underwater observation post? I need company. The text sent, Candace sighed and slid down the wall until she was sitting down. Now to wait.

Molly had actually finished her duties for the day, and could be found in her new room…a.k.a. Bix’s old room. The Sun Hunter was so kind as to let her have it after he was promoted…and Molly was very grateful. Who knew what mold was growing in her old room now after that water pipe burst in there… The bow across the violin made a bit of a horrible screech as she startled. Oh gosh…she should probably go tell someone about that! That room needed to be dried out! What if someone moved in there and then got mold poisoning and it’d be all her fau— Molly startled again as her phone went off, and she gingerly placed her violin down on her bed and checked it, perking up immediately. A text from Miss Candace! Who wanted her company? Molly couldn’t text back fast enough. Text to Candace Sure thing! I’ll be right there! After sending that off, Molly packed her violin back into its case and then tucked it into the closet. She grabbed her coat off of the back of her desk chair and slipped it on, buttoning it up as well. Then adjusting her scarf and pulling on her boots, she was out the door and making her way towards the portal that would take her there. True to her word, it wasn’t too long before Molly appeared, smiling widely. “ Good afternoon!” She chirped.

Ah! She would come! Good, good. Candace put her phone away in her pocket and sighed, closing her eyes and settling comfortably to wait. Thankfully it wasn't terribly long before Molly arrived as cheerfully as ever, looking very ready to help Candace be a little less bored for a couple hours. She couldn't help but smile, holding a hand out to the girl as a silent request to be helped up.
Once Candace was standing she draped her arms over Molly's shoulders and laid a kiss against her cheek. "Good afternoon, pretty lady~! Thanks for coming. I would get so bored if I did this by myself. I've got cards and stuff but they're only entertaining for so long without someone to play with meeeee. C'mon, c'mon~." Taking Molly's hand, Candace led her down into the station.
"I hope I wasn't interrupting anything?" She suddenly asked as she sat down in one of the chairs, taking off her coat and draping it over the back of it.

Molly immediately bee lined for Candace and reached out to grasp her hand, easily pulling the woman up to her feet. She giggled under the attentions, bringing her fingers up to her chin. “Oh, not a problem! I love spending time with you…and oh? Really? This is one of my favorite duties, even when I’m alone!” Molly smiled. “I like watching all the fish and see the light reflecting…and I always bring my knitting too.” The young woman grasped her hand and followed her down, and where as Candace took off her coat, Molly simply loosened her scarf and undid a few buttons on hers. She then settled into a near by chair.
“Oh no, not at all! I was just playing my fiddle…I haven’t touched it in a while, and I picked it up again so that I don’t get rusty!” She wiggled in her chair. “How’s your day been?”

"Normally it's one of my favorites but today has been weird for me. I don't know what my problem is...think cabin fever might finally be starting to get to me. Oh noooo, Molly what ever will I do~." Candace playfully whined and reached out to cling to the redhead, pouting her lips almost pitifully. Protect me Molly protect meeeee~. She wasn't surprised to hear Molly brought her things for knitting, though she did find it odd that she didn't bring it with her this Ike if it was something she always did. Candace watched Molly undo a few buttons with a little hum, tilting her head to one side. "I don't think I've ever seen you without your coat, not even with it open.." It wasn't exactly a request, just an observation. But she wouldn't be complaining if Molly took of her coat as a result. Nope, not even a little bit.
It had been awhile since she touched her fiddle. Oh, Molly...you're so lucky Candace knows when to be mature. "Aw, I wish you'd brought it! I've never heard you play before. Next time?" She scoot her chair over, positioning it in such a way that she could lean over and use Molly's chest as a pillow, making herself very comfortable. "It's been quite dull, and it's making me restless. Yours?"

“ Oh nooooo!” Molly wailed softly and playfully along with Candace, cupping her cheeks. “ You can’t get cabin fever, Miss Candace! We’re going to be on this island for a very long time!” She giggled then. That didn’t bother her, oddly enough. Molly really liked being on the island…tucked away from the rest of the world. Her only world consisted of the island, and all the people on it that she adored and loved. “ Hmmm?” Molly blinked, and then looked down at herself as she thought about it. “… Oh…huh! I think you’re right!” She laughed a bit. “ I mean…when I was a first level trainee, I went to the Mist Lounge to see Lance about getting some help wielding my weapon, and I went without my coat and I got set straight.” She grinned sheepishly, rubbing her cheek. “ Since then I don’t leave my room without it on…and I…like it buttoned up?” Molly blinked. “ OH! I’m so sorry Miss Candace! I wish I knew! I would have brought it…well…I definitely will next time, okay?” As Candace shifted over, Molly giggled softly, and opened her arms as Candace used her chest as a pillow. Her hands then gingerly wrapped around the older woman’s waist, and rest on her stomach gently. “ I’m sorry to hear that!” She replied. “ Oh, mine? It’s been a good day…it’s always a good day though…I mean…I wake up and see you all, and I snuggle all the canon cats, and there’s always something to do, so I’m happy.” She smiled widely down at Candace. “ Plus, I made a new friend!” She beamed brightly.

In a fit of playful melodrama Candace placed the back of her hand against her forehead and closed her eyes, 'swooning' against Molly with a dreamy sigh of despair. "But Molly! I don't think I can resist it much longer! Who knows what I'll do!" She kept up the act for a few seconds more before finally settling back comfortably against Molly. Ah, so Lance had given her The Lecture. Understandable, but she was still curious. Another time.
Giggling at Molly's frantic apology, Candace waved a hand and reached back to play with Molly's pretty red ringlet curls. So soft~. "Don't worry, sweetheart. Yes, next time. Not like you can read my mind. This and talking will be just fine." She turned her head to glance out the clear wall that separated them from the ocean outside, watching the faint shadows she saw flickering in and out of their line of vision. Nothing seemed to be getting too close for the moment. Good. She'd never really seen anything get close aside from regular fish that posed absolutely no threat. Maybe one day she'd see a shark or something.
"Lucky cannon cats. Think I'd like to pretend to be one of them for a couple hours." Candace murmured, snuggling up against Molly to emphasize her point. "A new friend~? Do tell."

Molly couldn’t help but giggle more at the little show Candace was putting on. “ Maybe you should try a new hobby?” The red head suggested. She then beamed down at the hunter. “ Oh good, I’m glad! I’ll definitely bring it the next time you’re here, though!” Her hazel eyes followed Miss Candace’s out the window, and she fell silent for a moment as she watched what was outside as well, before snapping her head back to the hunter, and laughed. “ Alright!” She piped up, and to emphasize it, she squeezed her arms around Candace and nodded her head vigorously. “ Yes, a new friend!” She repeated excitedly. “ I was on sleeper pod duty some time ago, and it was nearing the end of my shift, but someone woke up! His name is Jeremy ~ !” She beamed brightly. “ He’s so nice, and has quite the sense of humor, too!”

A new hobby, huh? Maybe. But what? She admired Aria's carving skills, they were pretty great from what she had seen, and she would love to see Molly's knitting but neither of those seemed like appealing options to her. What could she do? "I'll think about it." Candace finally answered to Molly's suggestion, turning on her side and nuzzling her cheek against Molly's chest. The position was a little awkward for her given the angle but she could deal with it for now. The squeeze won a giggle from her, holding onto one of Molly's arms and returning the sentiment. Good, no arguing with the Cannon Cat.
"Jeremy? Interesting. Sounds kind of familiar. I think there used to be another Jeremy aside from Jerry for awhile...been a long time though." Candace just assumed he died. It wasn't uncommon, even Lance said he wouldn't take her up on any of her kiss offers because she was a trainee and trainees died too easily in comparison to Hunters. She couldn't remember this other Jeremy for the life of her though, just his name. "That happened to me once, kind of. I was on my way to use a golem and Ceres just happened to wake up as I was passing by. I freaked out and thought I'd woken her." She chuckled. "So he's nice, huh? Is he cute?"

“ Sounds good!” Molly chirped, dipping her head to lightly nudge it against Candace’s as the older woman nuzzled her. “ Oh?” Molly echoed, her brows furrowing a bit in thought. “… Well…I…think he didn’t like…just wake up, if that makes sense? From what he told me, he’s been sleeping for just the past year!” The trainee paused, and her face lit up in recognition at the name. “ Oh, I know Ceres!” She announced, smiling widely. “ She’s really sweet…hehe…I didn’t know that’s how she woke up!” Molly trailed off for a moment. “… When I woke up…it was just me, and the hunter on duty, Jim, really helped me out! He pointed me to the Cove…” She trailed off again, and then nodded her head vigorously. “ Oh, he’s super nice! He’s so cute as well! He reminds me of a dandelion, Miss Candace!” Molly giggled. “ His hair is this deep and bright yellow-gold, and it just…poof! It goes every which way, like dandelion petals…” She giggled again, clearly very amused and fond of this idea.

A..reawakening? Like Ceres? Candace blinked. A year...so maybe it was the same Jeremy? Strange. She was idly toying with one of the undone buttons on Molly's coat when the girl announced she knew Ceres, tilting her head back to grin up at her. "Well, woke up as in she was reawakened. I guess she was put in there just..randomly. I don't know. But she didn't actually do anything wrong, I guess." God Molly was soft and comfy. Candace made herself as comfortable as she could given her awkward positioning on the chair and Molly. Maybe she didn't quite think this through...oh well, there was always next time.
"When I woke up there was a large group of us. Some of them I don't see anymore...I don't know if they died, were moved to off-island posts, or if I'm just completely missing them throughout the day. I've helped with large groups, too. What's it like waking up by yourself? I know the entire experience is disorienting to begin with, but at least with a group you don't feel like such an idiot when you stumble out of your pod for the first time..."
Super nice and cute. Candace frowned. Why did she suddenly feel jealous? That was silly. Stop that, Candace. "Maybe it's the same Jeremy after all." She turned her head up again to grin at her cuddle buddy. "I could make your hair go poof~." Candace teased and reached up to lightly tug one of Molly's curls, releasing it to watch it spring back into place. "Though it wouldn't be like dandelion petals."

Molly just hummed a bit in regards to the information Candace told her. What else could she say, really? It was weird, but in a way, Molly had come to accept that some faces that she wasn’t too friendly with would come and go, whether it be…death…or going back to the pods for whatever reason. Just as long as it wasn’t someone she deeply cared about…
“Oooh…” Miss Candace woke up with a large group, huh? Molly thought about it, imagining what it might have been like to have done so as well, and then dropped the thought. She giggled softly. “…I guess it would have been nice to not be alone when I stumbled out and went to the cove…but it wasn’t bad at all, either…like I said, Jim was really helpful!” Though in all honesty, Jim had been checking her out, trying to sound mysterious, and just pointed her in the direction of the cove, but Molly was stupidly nice, and thus played up the kindness more than it was.
“Oh? You think you know him?” Molly asked a bit excitedly, looking down at the woman who was awkwardly in her arms with a wide smile, and at Candace’s words, Molly laughed, and still smiled widely. “How would you make my hair go poof, Miss Candace?” She asked, genuinely curious. “Can’t use humidity, though, that’s cheating ~” She teased.
Ooooooh Molly.

Ah, so that was the only difference? That must seem so disorienting, to wake up alone. At least Jim was helpful, because what if Molly hadn't gotten someone willing to help her? Candace didn't think she'd have been comfortable waking up that way even with H's voice to guide her...and especially considering she'd hated the man at first that might have made it an even worse experience. Sighing, she shook her head and looked up at Molly again with a little shrug. "Maybe. I didn't know him very well, just from like..an introduction thing they made all of us do in my group. They had us go around the room and introduce ourselves. I didn't know him anymore than that..."
Oh? What was this? Was Molly challenging her? Candace raised a brow and tilted her head to one side, suddenly moving to sit up on her own. "Hmmm~." No humidity? Then there was only one way, really.
"But cheating is fun.." Candace mused, standing from her chair to circle around Molly, a hand resting gently on the girl's shoulder. "I'd muss it up using my hands, of course. Since I can't use humidity." She stopped behind the girl and moved her hands to bury them in Molly's soft hair, her lips pursed in a thoughtful expression. "Or I'd brush it but that'd probably hurt, and I'd never hurt you. It'd take a long time with my hands though..my hair tends to fro out in the humidity. I blame my father. Did you see it after we were in the Sahara and the Amazon? Ugh it was awful." Candace shuddered at the memory of having to tame the insane mane that was on her head. She hated her hair sometimes, and she was starting to run out of the product she used on it to keep it soft.
Damn island lockdown. It was ******** up her hair.

“Nooo, Miss Candace ~” Molly replied cheerfully, “You don’t want to cheat!” She watched as the older hunter sat up, and then turned her head as she moved around her. The Mist trainee blinked, stilling as Candace laid her hands in her hair, and giggled again. “You can mess it up, I don’t care! It’s just hair…and you could brush it too, it wouldn’t bother me.” She smiled up at her, and then looked a bit sheepish. She honestly couldn’t remember of her fellow Hunters’ appearances from the Sahara or the Amazon…just that it was hot. Really hot.
“I want to straighten out my hair one day…” Molly mused softly. “I’ve never seen it straight befo—“ She paused. “Oh…well…I take that back…I mean, it’s straight when I get out of the shower, but as soon as it starts to dry, it curls…I’d like to have it straight for at least a day…”

"But sometimes cheating is fun! Besides, I wouldn't call it cheating I'd call it...being resourceful! There we go, that sounds good." Candace hummed cheerfully as she messed with Molly's hair, though it felt more like she was massaging the girl's scalp than trying to mess up her hair. Despite Molly's encouragement that it was okay, that Candace couldn't hurt her and she didn't care, she didn't want to cause any amount of pain to Molly's head.
Straighten it? Now that was an interesting thought. "Yeah? It's probably really long, huh...I have a straightener." Candace leaned down to put her head on Molly's and dropped her arms so they were simply hanging lazily over Molly's shoulders. "I could straighten your hair after this if you're really that curious. Though I like your curly hair, it's fun to play with."
