Quietly Diminishing lay with her feet curled up under her as she watch dusk descend upon the land. She was lying near the edge of the swamp wrapped in the warm underbrush that was offered there. Dark Depths lay beside her, great head resting on soft plush paws. He lay there watching as the day faded into night. He had awoken with the mid-afternoon sun along with Quiet, the two of them having made a nightly ritual of watching the day fade away. There were many that said night was the best time for the best pursuits, and while she mildly agreed with this she was simply positive that they were not speaking of the same things.

Quite lay there for a long time, watching as the world fade to black. It wasn’t until the sun had completely dipped below the horizon that she arose from her nestled spot. She stood there silently her black coat blending in well with the dark backdrop. Only the molten streak of silver down her side gave her away. This was no real problem however as she wasn’t out hunting and thus there was no need to hide it. Depths pushed himself to his feet, shaking off before prancing ahead of her, vanishing back into the swamp.

Quiet followed not long after, slipping back into the wilderness of the swamp. She was hard to spot, a shimmer here, a shimmer there as she passed through the foliage. She was clearly on her way somewhere but where was anyone’s guess. She was in no rush, and it was clear she wasn’t worried about what lurked outside during the dark. Her companion on the other hand was completely hidden by the dense underbrush and his naturally silent nature. One would think she was slightly cocky walking around here at night alone with no fear.

Spiral Into Ebony looked up through the branches and caught a glimpse of the growing darkness. He smiled up at the first star winking at him as it made the patch of sky even more resemble himself. Beside him a bit of shadow seemed to move before revealing itself to be a sanddog. Catching Stars looked up at its friend then at the sky. Ebony saw his familiar was eager to move on and wondered if there was a reason for the restlessness.

"Scent something interesting my friend?" the acha asked his voice touched with a fondness heard by only those closest to him. Stars lifted his nose to the night and sniffed about before taking a step into the surrounding trees.
Having no plans of his own Ebony was content to follow his friend into the shadows of the growing night. He moved with confidence some would find unusual in an acha as new as they still were considered to the swamp. But Ebony was of the shadows and far more at home here than he had ever been on the desert sands. Surrounded by the wildness one could feel they were completely alone, but it didn't take Stars' soft woof of warning to know others roamed nearby...

Tygress Dream

Quiet was just about to speak when Dark gave a low growl like sound that alerted her to the presence of someone else. Her ears fell back as she took a moment to scan her surroundings, whoever it was seemed to blend in well for she could not spot them in the darkness. Moonlight broke through the branches only in patches and she was currently standing in one, it gave her no great worry however. There was little out that could take both her and Dark on at the same time.

She turned then and as she did so the slightest bit of movement caught her eye making her turn back. She could have been mistaken but she was positive she had seen the leaves rustle just slightly over there. She stilled and watched for a long moment waiting to see if they would move again. They didn't at least not that she could see. She debated with herself a moment, to speak out and see if the other would answer or to hold her tongue and see if the other would show.

Her tail swished back and forth for a moment before she decided to call out. "Who's there?" Her voice was soft but it traveled over the silence of the swamp. There was a commanding sort of tone in it, and there was no fear to be heard. There was no tremble in the doe's legs and she did not act as if she was worried. She merely stood there, as if she was waiting for an old friend to pop out of the bushes.

He spotted her as she entered a patch of moonlight. She was lovely and just as much a part of the night's landscape as he was himself. He paused just observing her as she clearly realized something was there. Finally she called out and the tone sent a thrill through him. No fragile frightened creature this. He nearly purred with delight and strolled forward allowing the moonlight to reveal the lighter blue swirls and stars that marked his midnight fur.

"Good evening. A wonderful night for a stroll isn't it?" he asked charmingly conversational.

Catching Stars remained hidden, keen nose detecting that the lady also had a companion. The sanddog would not reveal itself unless required to assist its acha.
