Character Name: Edward Robert Lawton
Alias(es): Deadshot

Physical Description: Deadshot isn't often out of the outfit, as the greasy black hair and the unshaven face tends to imply.
Personality Description:Eddie Lawton wants to die. Seriously, he does. He just wants to do so in a very spectacular way. This complete disregard for his own safety is the hallmark of what he's become. He'll take undue risks, insult folk people would quiver before, and generally spit in the devil's eye just because. Some call his behavior borderline nihilistic. Eddie simply calls it a good time. This general disregard for his own life is further extended to the general world around him. By and large, he doesn't make the empathetic connection with most other human beings. Which probably is a good thing. When your job is killing people, not being able to feel tends to be a positive. He doesn't necessarily hate people, but a job is a job.

But there is more underneath the surface. He holds a deep survivor's guilt in the loss of his brother. He has a tendency to find a bond to fill the gap of the former, and can be very protective of children because of it. Following a very twisted morality code, Lawton will always follow through with a contract unless the client breaks their end of the bargain. And while he has a death wish of his own, he'll usually go out of his way to avoid collateral to people he's fond of, going as far as to breaking his own code of the job to make sure they're not directly in harm's way.

Age:30's
Height:6"1
Weight:210lbs

Equipment: Guns: If it exists, Lawton probably has it. Deadshot possesses a few hundreds different types of firearms located in dozens of hidden caches throughout the world. His prized possessions are a pair of internally silenced wrist mounted Colt .45's, and a pair of highly Colt Magnums. Each set are highly customized and are some of the most powerful and accurate guns of their caliber. Depending on the mission, he can also equip any other firearms, depending on his needs.

Equipment: Bombs, lock picking tools, climbing gear, bubblegum. If it's useful to an assassin, Eddie either owns it or can get it from a contact very quickly. His equipment changes from job to job, but always is of quality make.

Costume: Lawton's notable Deadshot outfit is a marvel of technology. The entire suit is interleaved with high polymer fibers which gives extreme bullet resistance, and softens concussive force. The face mask houses a targeting system which feeds Lawton critical information for a shot, from angle to windage. In a pinch, Lawton also has an assault suit, which uses specific threading to make it bullet proof. It also comes with its own steel helmet. This suit won't stop heavy weaponry, or superhuman treat but greatly enhances his survivability in combat.

Sand/Grit: Lawton can take a hit. Hell, he can take a bullet too. In general, Deadshot has an extremely high pain tolerance, and has an almost supernatural ability to keep going until his body cannot handle anymore.

Vehicles: Lawton always has at least one vehicle near him at all times. Said vehicle will change from week to week. Mainly, because they're either stolen, or are going to be blown up within a few days in an epic firefight.

Contacts: Deadshot is one of the most notorious assassins in the world. Because of this notoriety, and years in the business, Lawton has an extensive list of contacts. While none of them are going to put their necks on the line for him, he usually has ready access to information and equipment should he need it.

Powers:N/A
Abilities:

Driving: When one is a gun for hire, getting away is kind of important. Over the years, Lawton has become quite adept at combat driving. He won't be winning a NASCAR race any time soon, but his skills behind the wheel are very close to professional in caliber.

First Aid: Eddie gets shot. A lot. He also cannot go to a civilian hospital to get his wounds mended. To compensate he's become quite the medic. While he can't do any complex surgeries, he's more than capable enough to extract bullets, stitch wounds, and do emergency triage for bleeding. He even has sterilized gloves!.

Gunsmithing: While Lawton uses manufactured weapons, he prefers to use guns that he makes or heavily modifies himself. Over the last decade, he has been tinkering with guns and parts to squeeze the absolute maximum out of them.

Hand to Hand: Eddie prefers using guns, but has been in many situations where there's no choice but to get close and personal. He has become a very proficient hand to hand fighter, and tends to use dirty fighting techniques and weapons. Really, anything to ensure his opponent is dead or disabled or distracted long enough for Lawton to pull out a gun.

Marksmanship: When it comes to the gun, Edward Lawton is arguably the best shooter in the world. He has been training with firearms since being a child, and was a prodigy of sorts while in the army. As an assassin he is nearly unparalleled in any fire arm. While he prefers his trademark Colt .45's, he is a master with every form of known firearm. Also unlike many other shooters, he is proficient with either hand. He is also capable of shooting with both simultaneously at different targets, and still maintain near perfect accuracy.

Military Training: Lawton spent quite some time in the US Military doing a number of dangerous missions. Along the way, he's learned many core skills needed for an assassin: Stealth, camouflage, climbing, tracking, and other such things. While he isn't to the level of a super spy, he's still extremely dangerous with these techniques.

Tinkering: While Lawton doesn't have any degrees in mechanical sciences, he's become quite adept at tinkering for various uses. He's done years of armoring, and has made hundreds of lethal traps in his time. Given proper tools and a bit of time, Eddie can make a nasty little surprise or other tools needed in a pinch.

Death Wish: Eddie is a dead man in his own eyes, and this death wish gives a side benefit. There is nothing that Deadshot fears, and cannot be intimidated. That isn't to say he isn't practical at times, but in general, his demeanor gives him a willpower very few possess.

Biography: Eddie tried. Eddie tried real hard to say the least of it. He was born to rich and manipulative parents who would show open disdain to each other and their children, and the only affection that his little brother Floyd got was him. He got it back rightfully, and he was grateful for that. He tried to shield Floyd from the brunt of the abuse but sometimes it would slip through, and all of Eddie's childhood memories are filled with abuse, betrayal and neglect. The turning point in his life was when his loving mother began manipulating the boys into killing their father. Impressionable at that age, and after months of non-stop rhetoric, she eventually convinced Eddie that it was the only option for a normal life. Floyd realised that if his brother went through with it, he would spend his life in prison. He tried to climb a tree with a rifle when Eddie locked him out, but the branch snapped and Floyd had permanent damage done to his back. Eddie went through with killing his father, beginning his downward spiral. His mother, ripe with bribe money and political connections, got him exonerated but never ceased to remind him about how he killed his father in view of Floyd. Eddie took Floyd and moved away, where he actually for a short time took up vigilante work, but then everything changed. Floyd noticed a man leading away a little boy from his home, and it was not his father. He took Eddie's gun and wheeled his way to the man's path, demanding he let the boy go before the man drew his gun and shot Floyd in the chest, Lawton only reacting quick enough to hit the man in the stomach, scaring the boy and causing him to flee. Eddie turned the corner only see it all, and that kiddy fiddler wasn't so lucky as to die straight away. Eddie tore every single piece of revenge out of him that he could before he let him expire. It was after that that he joined the army, wanting to escape it all. He eventually resurfaced as an Assassin for hire, known to the world as one of the best.

Sample: Eddie's eye opened lazily as the beeping sound resonated in his ear. For the love of god, not now. It wasn't like he was going to be able to get back to sleep now, that was the first time in three days. He yawned and ran his hand down his face to try and waken himself as he turned to his side and sat on the edge of his bed. The safehouse was messy, with some clothes lazily strewn about on the one half of the room. The rest of it was home to the one thing that Eddie kept safe, pristine and filed in order: His guns. The Deadshot suit stood by itself, held up by a mannequin skeleton thing that he forgot the name of, the helmet lying on a desk in front of the guns. Eddie sauntered over to the desk in his half-naked form to grab the small phone-looking device. Really, it was some kind of fancy PDA that took messages from a contractor who had a client's information. Why did they want something this early?! Couldn't they wait till dark t- he glanced at the clock. Two O'Clock in the morning. Well, that shut him up.

He rubbed his eyes with the one hand and slapped himself lightly while the other hand held the PDA in a vain attempt to wake himself up properly. It's not like the tiredness meant he was going to miss, but it was just more irritating to focus with. He checked the contract information, nothing that stood out to be different. Russian mobster, wanted rid of competition, some Chinese guy up i- wait what?! Eddie blinked getting closer to the PDA, positive he was seeing things due to lack of sleep. He was offering diamonds, and he hoped the money he received would be an adequate payment.

Ten seconds later Eddie had the whole suit on and was making sure his mounted guns were properly attached. That guy had said just the two right words: money and payment. Eddie looked up at the guns at his disposal, there was not a space on the wall, it was completely covered in the tools of his trade, and his trading was in lives. Weirdly enough, this was one of his less used safehouses, so there much fewer guns in here than usual. He reached up and pulled off a particularly nasty looking gun, a heavily modified SRS99D-S2AM. They really needed to make shorter names for these rifles. He'd changed the scope and the stock entirely, modifying the clip size so it could hold more bullets and ones of a different type. He reached up and grabbed another sidearm just in case, moving over to another wall where there were various holsters. He pulled out one for a sidearm at his side, fixed it on and slotted it in. He got another, slinging the rifle onto his back. He hadn't noticed his mask was only down to just above the mouth until he left, closing the door behind him and letting the security system activate. He breathed in the cold air then quickly pulled down the mask, seeing the world through a red scope. Damn it, he forgot to have a smoke.
