Informative Blurb: Junko is notable in that he is the first tekimi to be made with parasitic DNA; he does produce seeds from the rosy colored sections of his body, which flake off periodically only to be regrown soon after. The Lab thus far has not been able to find any viable seeds, and one researcher in fact has noted that they "taste faintly of strawberries;" nevertheless, it is not recommended that anyone takes any risk and attempts to plant these seeds. Native latrans reproduce by planting seeds in living creatures, so it is easy to see how even one viable seed could potentially be very dangerous.Thankfully, Junko has not shown any instinctive drive to plant his seeds anywhere (so far).

This tekimi's tentacles are fully prehensile and stronger than their thin nature would suggest; they are formed from layers of muscle wrapped around a keratin base, starting from above the shoulder blades - though not free moving until around the pectoral muscle - suggesting they stem from the firefly's wing structure. The ends are keratin-based "flowers" that are capable of serving as rudimentary hands.

Junko's skin is somewhat thin, though the structure of it is tougher than average human skin. This allows a flush of his blood color, an unusual teal inherited from the latrans, to be seen somewhat easily. The thin skin serves a secondary purpose, however - Junko is capable of "lighting" his blood, so to speak, causing a reaction that makes it luminescent. What this translates to, simply enough, is that he can glow on command, though it takes a few moments to fully start and to fully fade away. He also seems to have inherited the firefly's attraction to flashing lights and patterns, as well as its ability to coordinate them in his own glows.

While he is created from a ferric base, this tekimi's ears appear to be human-sized, though more motile and pointed. Both his hearing and his sense of smell are enhanced by his antenna, however - which unfortunately seems to make him more susceptible to bad smells. He doesn't seem to mind loud noises, though.

Finally, Junko is another tekimi to add to the obligate carnivore list. In particular, he seems to have a greater fondness for raw or lesser-cooked meats. The Lab attributes this to both the latrans' naturally raw diet as well as the firefly's specialized predatory nature.




Flaws:

===== (Flaw 1): Super Tasting - Along with the heightened senses gained through his antennae, Junko has an increased number of fungiform papillae, which makes him a sometimes unapproachable picky eater. If ever he is being sociable during food time, it's quite likely he'll be repulsed by at least a few things his fellow tekimi are eating, and will be unable to help the facial expressions he makes in response.

===== (Flaw 2): Latrans Seeding - One-third of his DNA stems from Islandis latrans, a parasitic vegetation-slash-lifeform from Islandia. This puts him at a considerable risk of infecting his friends and sometimes makes him think twice about doing everyday, interpersonal, highly active activities. He doesn't show this outwardly, having heard from Lab Associates several times to "go play with [his] friends, [he's] not viable".

===== (Flaw 3): Restricted Behaviour - Often seen as a virtue, this has often lead him into being antisocial until he completes a project he starts. If he feels constantly interrupted or harassed to do things that don't involve the particular task at hand, he can, will, and has become irritable and started a few fights with friends that just want to have fun and make him loosen up.

===== (Flaw 4): Uninhibited - His open nature has gotten him into trouble more often than not. He has little care for what other people think about him, and "wears his mind on his sleeve", which has on more than one occasion hurt someone's feelings. Modesty also plays a part as he has been spotted strolling around parts of the lab in what could be considered improper attire such as only pants or sometimes even boxers. This, however, hasn't been much of an issue, as it has only been in the personal areas, and he follows every standard (and even sets "good examples") during "work hours".

This particular flaw may be seen as a virtue by people that admire his blatant honesty.

===== (Flaw 5): Curious Nature - "Curiosity didn't kill the cat, ignorance and obliviousness did." - Junko's curious nature sometimes gets him into trouble, as he will push the strains of rules too far in an attempt to net something for himself that he otherwise can't have. He won't harm others for the sake of bettering himself, but, for example, he has been known to deliver certain objects to Hawk in exchange for various "other things" that aren't available to growing tekimi otherwise.



Virtues:

===== (Virtue 1): Honest/Trustworthy - Junko is not afraid to speak his mind, no matter what the subject, and lacks that certain amount of tact that demands "little white lies". On more than one occasion he has been asked "do these pants make my a** look fat?"

===== (Virtue 2): Concern for Others - Whether because of his curious nature or because of his empathy, Junko typically plays the "concerned friend" when something goes wrong and will often be one of the first to ask "what's wrong?"

===== (Virtue 3): Diligent/Hard-working - Due at least in part to Flaw #3, Junko is an exceptional worker. One of the "standard setters for tekimi", he goes the extra mile in his dealings at the lab, and then some. His "work clothes" are always neat, he follows all rules while at the stations, studies during some off hours due to his curious nature, and attempts to be as helpful as possible to others. His current favourite subjects are chemistry and biology, the latter of which has caused him some uneasiness as dissecting things typically produces a pungent odor.

===== (Virtue 4): @Artistic - Junko has an affinity for the arts, between enjoying mixing beats and cakes to scribbling doodles as he's thinking, these skills sometimes help him in ways he hasn't considered, such as sketching certain findings for his biology research. They don't go past amateur level at this time, but with a little practice, who knows where they'll go.

===== (Virtue 5): @Life of the Party - When he's not busy studying or being obsessed with his latest project, Junko can be the life of the party. He often involves himself in whatever his group of friends (or potential friends) are up to, providing witty conversation and generally making everyone feel good, even if he isn't at the time.


General Attitude: Laid back when he's not working, but obsessive and complex when he is, Junko seems like an enigma waiting to be unraveled. When he's not either of those things, he spends his time learning to cook and bake, and hopes one day to combine his science and kitchen desires into one incredible talent.

Likes: Happy people, working, having the drive to create something incredible, people that take the time to study, people that appreciate music, people in general, some quiet time every now and again, seafood, ground steakburgers, feeding Kei and Hawk if he can catch either one, FRENCH FRIES OH MAN, music, have we mentioned music?, cheesy pick-up lines


Dislikes: being sad, when people are depressed, people that don't like music, Kei's pouty face, Orinbar being so damn grumpy, that need to impose restrictions on oneself, boring parties, people that make fun of him for glowing unconsciously sometimes, people that lie, SALADS, bugs with more than six legs, fatty foods, willful ignorance, people that don't laugh at his barrage of pick-me-up-lines

I'm not honestly sure what I would change it to, since I'm using his curious nature as a flaw.
It's more that he knows how to break the rules and won't hesitate to do so if he's curious enough to do it, or something of that nature.

It probably feels weird because I went back and deleted the fifth I had with something I felt was more appropriate.

Like I said though, I don't know how to change it because I wanted a base curious nature that sometimes got him into trouble. o no
