As the city itself is surrounded by water, the drawbridge is the only access point to and from. Patrols usually guard this, but nothing big as the lower tier is considered expendable to the Swords of Salvation. The metal portcullis of the gate is open wide during the day, as at least one Cleric usually lines the bridge in an attempt to catch any Dark people trying to walk into the city. During the nights, the drawbridge is closed and those who wish access have to yell across the water and hope that their name or reason to enter the city is worthy enough to be allowed access after the strict sundown curfew.

Her horse neared the drawbridge into the city as others walked by her. She was at a slow trot to enter, taking her time to take in what she could pick up. As she drew to the gates, she smiled kindly to a guard while moving forward.
