Some would say he is a sore loser, and in some aspects this is true, however, Elwood tends to think three steps ahead of his opponent, sometimes more, to ensure that he wins. He can be short-fused and easily angered, especially if he loses. Due to his past, he tends to be very distant and secluded, both because he needs to be and because people just tend to stay away. He hates most pity, because he has gotten over what happened, he does not need others bringing it back up.

Background Information
Elwood, born, in England, to a family of well-known English royals, always had whatever he wanted. His mother was a stay-at-home-mom and his father traveled the world as the owner and president of the Imagine Toy Company. He was an only child and often found himself submersed in the world of toys, games, and international culture. He grew to love toys and games, of all shapes and sizes, even those designed for children younger than himself. His father had a mansion in America, it was their summer home, where they stayed when they would visit Elwood's aunt, his mother's sister. Elwood would spend many a summer playing on the large estate, alone, but still happy.
However, the happiness of summer would fade to autumn, and while Elwood enjoyed the autumn, the autumn before he turned twelve would be the worst autumn in the history of his young life. His family had gone out for an evening on the town and it was rather late, Elwood was slowly falling asleep in the back seat when the sound of squealing tires and a sudden impact startled him. What would happen next would forever scar Elwood, he watched his parents die, desperately trying his hardest to get out of the car to help them, the adrenaline pumping through his body keeping him from realizing that he was only truly looking out of his right eye.
Elwood would awake in the hospital, alone and in pain. He would, for the first time, realize that his vision was only half of what it had been, and upon realizing this, proceeded to freak out. The nurse would rush in and try to calm him, but nothing helped, especially once he realized what had happened the night before.
His aunt would arrive in England the next day and he would be released from the hospital a few days after that. Elwood, despite losing his family, continued his schooling as planned with his tutor, putting everything he had into his studies.
It would take until after the new year for everything to be set straight, from his living arrangements to his schooling and even the family business. He would take control of the family business, as his father had intended of him, both the main mansion in England and the summer home in America were his, as well as all the money in the accounts. He was to live with his aunt in America, though his aunt did agree to move into the summer home so that some things would remain as close to normal as possible.
After moving to America, Elwood would keep his private tutor until he was to begin high school, when his aunt decided that it would be best for him to enroll in public school. Despite being against this decision, he agreed to it, thinking that the new experience might actually be good for him. What he did not expect was that, on his first day other students would be so put off by his glass eye that they would not approach him, except if they were carrying a slushie. It was then that Elwood decided that he would wear an eye patch while in school, saving his glass eye for other, fancier occasions.
The summer before he entered high school, Elwood went to Italy, alone, as sort of a business trip/vacation. He was treated poorly and their tea was disgusting. Elwood grew to hate Italians over the course of his stay in Italy and vowed never to return to the country. He would have pulled the company out of Italy if it were not for the fact that business for the company was booming in Italy.
