Personality: Rough and practical, making him a bit of a black sheep (horse?) among his clan. Xiong initially pursued the path of an artisan woodcarver, but felt that he lacked the creative spark and delicate touch to bring his work to life. On some level, he resented the artistic nature of his kinsfolk, believing it to be a frivoulous pursuit, but as he grew into adulthood, Xiong decided that should be his duty as a physical and earthly-minded individual to protect the ability of the rest of his clan to wholeheartedly pursue their cultivation of culture. He took up war as his artform, crafting crossbows and honing his skill with his own until he gained a position as an Imperial Soldier.

Though taciturn and a bit of a loner, Xiong is always dutiful and focused to the point that it can be difficult to gain his attention while he is working or reading. He enjoys prose, but the majority of poetry goes over his head; Xiong has a bit of trouble in general with metaphor and innuendo. Losing his home terrified him to his core, and Xiong is still dealing with that fear - the "home" he is now bound to protect is a set of values and an aesthetic rather than a place, and Xiong is quick to threaten any who wish to harm his kin. Towards his own clan, he has discovered in himself a more outgoing side since the tragedy. He would never discuss his own fears or reservations, prefering to avoid talking about himself in general, but Xiong awkwardly but warmly reaches out to those he trusts. He places blame for the loss of his clan on himself, and seeks to make right how he can, but also has a bit of a martyr complex and, though still a fairly quiet man, is prone to melodrama.

Mount Form:
A white horse with sort of runny dark markings like a Tang Dynasty horse, and a cropped and looped tail in a smiliar style, too. Light armor in a similar style to Xiong's normal armor, and tassles. Fringed triangular banner draped over his back in lieu of a saddle..

Weapon Form:
repeating crossbow, favoring function over form, but still lightly decorated.

FEAR ATTACK: Virehail (Swift Strikes) - Xiong rapidly fires off several bolts in succession from his crossbow, charged with FEAR.


Physical Description:

Eye Colour: yellow with a bit of a scar over his right one
Hair Colour/Style: navy blue, or black with a blue sheen, cut short and parted over towards the left side (sort of had Xiahou Dun's in mind, the way it's feathered over to one side)
Skin Colour: lightly tanned - he's naturally fair, but he looks like he has gotten perhaps more sun than most of the more scholarly Conquest horsemen.
Clothing Style/Colours: royal blue, black, and silver, with bits of orange. Heavy armor.
Extra: He's got a goatee, and is more rugged and manry than bishounen
