Was there a storm brewing? Was that thunder sounding real or just another illusion? Maybe that was the reality and the clear sunny day was the fake reality. When there was no other Mearh near by Nandru had a hard time figuring out which was the real reality around him. He had been born seeing different things almost in a blink of an eye. Sometimes he did not have to blink to see different things. It was almost like he was always seeing a 'good' and a 'bad' reality at the same time. He had never been able to trust what he saw or heard or even smelled. The only thing he could trust was the touch of something to his skin. It had to be a physical touch of something not the surrounds around him for even those could fool him.
The haunted stallion was on the outskirts of a small village and he was leaning against a old fence post looking up at the sky trying to figure if the storm he was seeing and hearing was real or fake. Soon enough his questioning was answered as he felt the cool drops of rain starting to beat against his complex coat. He was thankful for the drops to let him know which view to trust. Though if it were raining it would not be good on his flame. He turned his drawn eyes to look around him trying to find something to cover his left shoulder with before the rain got too heavy.

Kalin had been flying all day to try and find a town to rest in. Then of course the storm came. She flew for just a bit longer before she was forced to land. Her wings were soaked, and the autumn air was cold. She shivered as she made her way through the rain. To think that the High Priestess of Le'anna E'lan, couldn't stand the rain. However, everyone had their strengths. Faintly she could see another mearh and the outline of a village. "H-Hello?!" she called out hoping for an answer. With her as exhausted as she was, there was no telling if she actually saw what she thought.

Nandru having heard a voice looked up. His eye saw the darkened figure of someone in the distance but he was not sure again if it was real or not. He had found a broad piece of wood to hold over his candle and he sighed. It could be someone out there in trouble. And it could not hurt to check so he took a few steps part the fense and tilted his head, "Hello?" He called out not expecting an answer. Surly he was just seeing things again. Though if he was a farmer or something maybe he could get get a place to stay the night. He would need to get out of the rain before he caught a cold or worse."

Kalin increased her pace at the sound of someone, she could only assume that it was the figure ahead, calling out to her. She crested the hill where the figure stood near an old fence. She was now close enough to realize that it was a stallion with multicolored pattern. "H-Hello there... do you know if there is an inn or a place where I can dry off and stay while the storm passes? My wings are soaked." She was already shivering from the cold the wind not helping her cause much at all.

Nandru watched the figure moving towards him at a hurried speed. When the figure drew close enough he was a bit shocked even having hear her voice to find a female and a Gwilith at that. His sad eyes grew wide as she mentioned her wings and he looked at them only to see a jumbled mess of broken feathers and bones. He shut his eyes for a moment and shook his head, "N...no....though there....was a barn....a few yards back....along the path...we could maybe stay there...if the roof is still in tact." He seemed just as skittish as she was though more from what sounded like fear and fatigue than wetness and cold. If she was not real then what was the harm in seeking shelter in a barn? "This way." he said and keeping the small flame atop his shoulder mostly covered he trotted off back down the path towards the barn he had seen walking away form town.

Kalin smiled lightly, "Thank you, my name is Kalin, by the way. Who would you be?" She followed him to the barn. She did her best to keep her voice light, she noticed he had become skittish. She didn't want to frighten him. Once inside the barn, she sighed happily, grateful to be out of the rain. "So, do you live around here?"

Nandru did not seem phased as a flash of lighting cracked the dark sky and thunder roared around them. As he shut the door to the barn he looked around it in awe that it was still standing and seemed to be a bit confused. The candle burning away on his shoulder lit the dark barn a bit and illuminating a small table with a lantern on it. "Nandru Anistasio. And no....I was merely passing threw. I have no place to live. It was destroyed some time ago. You being a Gwilith must not be from here...from the looks of your wings...you have been flying long?"

Kalin smiled lightly, "Well it is nice to meet you Nandru." She nodded slowly when he mentioned his home being destroyed. "I am sorry for the losse of your home. I am a priestess of Leanna E'lan. My home is in the mountains..." She looked back to her wet wings a bit confused. "Is there something wrong with them?"

Nandru's ears lowered a bit, "It is okay. It was so long a go. For all I know it could have been rebuilt. In fact I am sure it has been. Your wings just look tired that is all priestess Kalin. It could be the fact that they are wet. It was raining or still is right?" he asked softly even as a loud crash of thunder sounded. He seemed to be a very troubled soul.
He sighed and shut his eyes just leaning against a wall. "Do no worry....I am not dangerous if that is what your thinking. Most people do. I can't hurt others...."

Kalin frowned as she looked to the stallion. "Still it is a terrible thing to lose one's home. Please, sit and relax,it is still raining. You seem troubled my friend. Have you ever thought about visiting the shrine in the mountains? The Guiding Star may be able to help you I am sure." She smiled softly at the stallion, "I do not find you dangerous, if anything you look weary. Maybe you should rest."

Nandru tilts his head and gently opens his eyes to look again around him. He sighed, "Ah so it is still raining...I guess I shall rest..." he walked over to the edge of one of the stalls in the barn and sat down and leaned against the wall. "My friend? No I have never thought to visit the shrine nor have I even heard of this shrine." He sighed softly. "Yes I guess I find myself as weary as your wings seem to be." He was quiet for a moment before he looked up towards the ceiling, "Has the storm increased in intensity?"

Kalin listened to the rain outside for a moment and nodded. "It has strengthened a bit. If you would like to rest, you should probably lay down. Do you sleep often Nandru?" This stallion seemed so confused, or troubled. It really worried her now. What could possibly be bothering this stallion so much?

Nandru laughed softly though there was little humor in the laugh, "I sleep enough miss Kalin. Sleep is one of the few places one can nearly always find peace. Even those who face the nightmares of remembering tragedies can fine peace in sleep even when dreams turn dark the body and mind can find a odd sort of peace." He spoke gently and evenly trying to just let the sound of the rain take over and not worry about anything but the rain and the voice of the mare he was talking too.

"You have a lot of nightmares then? Well even if you have nightmares, I am glad you have some peace. If you don't mind me asking, what is it that causes you so much turmoil?" If she could she wanted to help this stallion.

The Stallion turned his head over to look at the Gwilith mare though he did not open his eyes, just kept them shut. "Yes you can say that. I am always plagued by nightmares." he smiled sadly, "Being awake causes me the most turmoil. For I am always seeing things I prefer not too. When I am asleep that is the only time I find myself at ease. But even then I can not sleep for too long at any one time."
