A thin smile crept onto Kinetav's face as he walked into the cresting woods, brushing his hand along trees and his cloak brushing along the grass. Beautiful...Ignorant...Blissfully unaware...Simple....these were the words that entered his mind all at the same time as he walked towards a larger tree in the middle. He smiled even wider as he saw the familiar large crack in the tree trunk, walking to the tree and ducking into the dark, hollow core of the trunk.
The familiarity of a lightless environment soothed him immediately, reminding him of his residence nestled deep into the Ul'thran Tower in Andalusia. His mind began to relax, thinking of everything as a timeline and jumping randomly from past, to present, to possible futures. He could feel his soul calling out to her in a way, the new link to Liliana drawing her closer...oh so closer...to his location. Even though he had wanted it just to stay anonymous, he had always failed to stay anonymous her. Sensing that she was a good ways of, he began to meditate within the tree on the Void and the powers within.
(1/10) His steel-grey eyes could barely make out the various brush growing on the inside of the tree as the Void flooded his mind with new knowledge. Taking a step forward, he tripped over a rock and cursed as he fell, catching himself on the wood. He could hear them speak, tell him to look deeper, watch more, and to be conscious of everything around him.
(2/10) Slowly, his mind gave into the voices, and they began to consume him further as Kinetav rose back to his feet. He could hear her scream...He could hear her beg...He could hear the sound of war and death throughout the space between him. Hands tightening into fists, he rushed forward, only to bash into what felt like an unstoppable force as he nearly blacked out on the floor of the tree.
(3/10) By this time, it had seemed that darkness itself had closed the door to the tree and sealed him in as his mind heard more and more familiar voices screaming and asking for his help. Not even Edge's protest cut through to his mind as the blade was drawn and swung about, Kinetav groping around, feeling for some traces of life nearby him.
(4/10) After what seemed to be a lifetime of searching for his friends and hearing their voices scream their deaths before becoming silent, Kinetav lay on the ground. Sprawled out, he felt drained, drowning in the very darkness that he had come to embrace in place of the light. Silent whispers to Ba'Shev and the Void echoed from deep inside his heart as he lay, thanking the Void for his power and informally promising reciprocation to the Void as he began to feel comfort again...or numbness. Either way,the pain was seeping out of him as he thought about his own situation.

Liliana strolled into the Cresting Woods, relishing the fresh air. See? all you have to do is get out more. See your people. Display your power for them to remember that you are in control of their lives. Liliana growled to her right, where the man stood, before moving on to find where Kinetav was at.

(5/10) As Kinetav breathed in deeply and closed his eyes, the voices began to fade as a familiar raspy voice entered his mind: I thought that we had trained you better than to look for escape from this darkness, idiot. Come now, brother Voidsworn, bound in our heart, soul, and mind. Arise, and seek vision not within your own imagination, but behold the truth of things around you (6/10) Blanking his mind, Kinetav rose to his knees and put out his hand towards a large rock that he saw next to him. Standing up with it as a balancing weight, moments passed by as the Voidsworn stood, blissfully unaware of the event that had just happened. Strange lines and blurs began to form in his vision, making the Anima feel a little dizzy as he focused on the sights ahead of him. (7/10) As the visions took on further shape and form, revealing brush, shadows, and life alike, his mind went from a state of confusion to realization that it was his own sight that had begun to change. Staring down at his armor, and the slighted vision of Edge's dark metal twisted around his arm, mental will began to take place in the form of changing the blade and seeing further into the nothingness. Edge's form visibly turned to liquid before the Voidsworn's eyes, the Exodus coating his right gauntlet with an additional layer of metal as Kinetav tried to pick out the more intimate details of his own blade. (8/10) Emboldened by the sight he was gaining, Kinetav began to walk around freely in the tree, carefully as if almost trying to avoid various traps. Roots, rocks, and fallen branches were avoided entirely as the Voidsworn grinned to himself. Seeing the larger,taller rock in the dead middle of the trunk, Kinetav walked up to it, running his hands along the visible crevices. (9/10) Taking a leap onto the rock, Kinetav balanced himself and looked down from above as he got even more child-like, playing around in the darkness. Edge quickly snapped him out of that brief, momentary happiness. Can't you feel her, brother? She approaches... The Anima's steel-grey eyes flashed towards the entrance of the trunk, focusing to confirm his brother's speech. (10/10) Finally, with a final effort of willpower, the Anima stood tall in the tree trunk, bathing in the darkness around him which had turned to illuminated shades of grey. Reaching his mind out to Liliana, the voice and stature of the Anima had returned to that of a cold neutrality, yet to those who knew him, they knew it was his way of saying hello. Liliana, it's good to see you. It had been a while since Elizabeth had last ventured into the woods. Her notes from last time had more than occupied her with ideas for different poisons, many of which she had already concocted recipes for. Now all she needed to do was gather the herbs to make them. Slipping on her gloves, Elizabeth began to pull several bundles of leaves from odd plants, many of which would be looked over as harmless by the untrained eye. As she crawled around in the dirt, she overheard some voices in the distance. Curious as to what the sound was, she quickly shuffled through the bushes to spy on whatever was making the sounds. Much to her surprise, there were 2 people, one she recognized as the Lady of Ernya and the other a complete stranger. Elizabeth barely poked her head out of the bushes as she decided to snoop on whatever the two were doing.

To the voidsworn anima, if he looked from the barest corner of his eye, he would be able to glimpse a fleeting wisp of shadow tinted blue. "Kinetav, my friend. It's good to see you after the time away," she said aloud, her mind focusing on the girl snooping on them. She turned, her eyes quickly finding the young Kakurenbo girl in the bushes behind them. "Would you like to join us, Elizabeth?"

Kinetav ducked back under and stepped out as he heard Liliana's voice, finally remembering that although he embraced the darkness, the rest of the world might not have easily done so. His steel grey eyes remained on Liliana, yet Edge's eyes fell upon a tint of blue shadow as both of them checked out the shadow, reminiscing back to the man who had nearly annihilated him in Liliana's mind. As the Lady of Ernya approached him, a thin smile spread on his face as the rest of his armor and weaponry remained hidden under his cloak,
"Indeed, it has been far too long, Lady Liliana...Has the Ernyan Ladyship treated you well?"
As Liliana turned to face a person who the Anima had never seen before, he turned towards the bushes, the Kakurenbo's aura betraying many different aspects of her being as he stared right at her before beckoning her over with a simple hand gesture.

How'd she know her name? It's not like Elizabeth went around making her presence known to all. But she had heard stories about Lady Liliana's abilities, but Elizabeth always assumed they were rumours. A little stunned by being called out by name, the little vixen slowly poked her head out of the bushes, straightening her mask which was tied snugly to the side of her head. As she climbed out of the bushes, she clipped up the bag which was slung across her chest. With a slight, angsty grimace, Elizabeth replied to Liliana. "I-It's L-L-Lizzy"

"It has been what leadership always is, young Knight: caring for the well-being of the people." She smiled to him, doing her best to ignore the humorless snickering from her shadow follower. She turned back to the young girl. "Lizyy it shall be then. You should do well to believe what you hear of me. They're not spoken in idle thought but actual demonstration. I suppose you seek training after gathering your ingredients?"

Elizabeth shook her head in disagreement. When it came to poisonous plants and animals, she didn't want just anyone helping her. If they got the wrong plant by mistake, it would ruin the entire batch of poison. "A-actually, I was w-w-wondering if there were a-any o-o-o-odd jobs that n-n-needed done," she said looking downward at the ground, casually kicked with her foot. While any job would do, what she really wanted was some sort of killing mission, maybe a nest of bandits or something. What Elizabeth really wanted was to finally earn her mark as a true Kakurenbo and get her first tail, and she needed a few hearts for that.

As Lizzy walked out of the bushes, Kinetav took a closer look at her as she appeared to be a human, but the golden eyes were strange along with the mask that she wore. Her mask gave her true nature away as a Kakurenbo, as information from a soul flowed through his mind. Regarding her, only a nod was given to acknowledge her presence before the Anima turned back to Liliana,
"Another one of your students?"

"You know I tolerate all who come before my eyes, Kinetav," Liliana said. What a crock of s**t, the man stated from behind her. Her eye twitched but she gave him no further satisfaction. "And yes. She is one of my students." Liliana regarded Lizzy once more. "If you wish to be of use, in the way you are thinking, I have need to know what has happened to one of my trusted guides, Arron. We last heard from him before the end of the war and hope he's still in Wormwood Swamp somewhere. Whether he's well or not, we are unsure..."

Elizabeth understood the importance of the mission, but didn't get how it applied to what she wanted. After a few moments of silence, Elizabeth spoke up. "W-will there b-b-be people to...y-y-you know," she said, slightly licking her lips. It wasn't so much that she desired the taste of raw meat, more so the urge to finally move up in the world.

Kinetav stirred at the very mentioning of the Wormwood Swamp. He knew well what horrors lay within, as well as the Swords of Salvation that tried to bring down all dark bloodlines...Anima and Kakurenbo alike. Turning to Liliana, he mentioned,
"Ah, right, your friend Arron. He's been missing for that long? The Swords very well might have killed him..."

Liliana nodded to Kinetav all while her mind burned with loathing. Did he really think her so stupid? An unintentional flash of white anger in the form of pain shot between the connection linking the two. "If Arron has perished, then it is an unfortunate loss. But I would like to know all the same. He's one of the few I have not touched. Thus I am without a way to find out in a more normal fashion." She looked to Lizzy. "You will be traveling to Hyjon's Rest. It was the last location he was reported to be in. Visit the local tavern, listen to any gossip you might hear, and come back to me with it." Liliana's face hardened, a look any who knew her knew she never used. "I send you to a dangerous land right now. I expect no mercy shown to any who try to harm you. I want you back alive by any means necessary," she said, voice ringing cold and heartless.
