Ahazutako was confused. He had a crush on Atino since, well since he met her. He was always scared to tell her, always getting nervous and screwing up his words. All he wanted was to tell her how special she was to him. Why did he have to tell her that he loved her. But she had reacted, better then expected. He convinced himself that she would reject him, and she sort of did. However she touched his nose with hers. He wasn't sure what it meant, but he was sure that it was meant as something romantic. After that she pulled away and left.
That was three days ago. He avoided her, she avoided him. This whole thing was a mess, he thought. He should have kept his mouth shut. Now he had to figure out what he wanted to do. He didn't want this event to screw his friendship up, but he also wanted to know if they could be more then friends. If she did not share his feelings, he would be heart broken, but he would still be her friend. Their friendship mean everything to him.
He decided to seek out an older member of the pride, to help him with the situation. Ahaz had no idea if anyone had gone through the suffering he was going through now. He hoped that someone would have some sort of suggestion for him. His first stop was the meditation pond, the place where it all began. That would be the best part to start his search.

The Meditation Ponds were calm as they usually were, for which A'lan was grateful for. His meditation had been drifting in and out of a light doze for the last hour or so now. If the heaviness of his limbs and the fatigue were any indication, he was getting sick again. He was hoping that the feeling was going to go away, but he should have known better. The Healers had confirmed it. He was suppose to be in his den right now resting, but he had always felt more at ease here. Plus, he had promised to meet Drox here after he got back from patrol. He gave a smile at the thought of his friend. His ears swiveled as he heard someone else approach. He recognized the Guardian from his time spent with Drox. He gave the cheetah a welcoming smile.
"Good day Ahazutako."

Ahaz stopped and glanced at A'lan. He wondered for a moment if he was the jedi to help him. Thinking back on it, he had never seen A'lan in a real romantic situation, though the jedi did tend to keep things subtle. A'lan did spend a lot of time with Drox, though Ahaz had always assumed that it was merely a friendship situation. He realized that was what he really needed though was friendship advice. It would prove more useful then romantic advice.
He went over to A'lan and sat down. "Good day master A'lan." he said politely with a nod. He was always sure to be polite. When he was younger he was a bit rude to his elders, but he quickly grew out of that, or at least made it appear as if were polite. The moment he got in the rogue lands he lost his polite acted and acted freely. "I have a situation I am in master A'lan and I need some advice. I was wondering if it would be okay if I talk to you about it?" He spoke honestly and hoped that A'lan would say yes. If not it would be a pain to try and find someone else.

A'lan chuckled at the formality, "Please, just call me A'lan. The Master title still feels so big to me." He had come quite a long way from his Padawan days, but he could still hardly believe when his own Master had sought him out and told him he believed he was ready for the trials.
In all honesty, he owed a lot of his growth to the day he meet Drox.
Shaking himself out of his memory, he listened to the cheetah and smiled freely at his question.
"Of course, what do you need?"

"Well, A'lan," he spoke feeling a bit uncomfortable. "I think I might have screwed up my friendship with Atino," he looked at the ground and moved his paws nervously. He wasn't sure how much he should talk about when it came to Atino. The rules of love were something he didn't want to deal with in the pride.
"I like her, a lot and I told her. She put her nose to mine then left." He said with a sigh. It was such a wonderful moment for him, he wished that it had lasted longer. "I don't know what that means and I don't know what to do. I want to be her friend, but I would love to be something more. But if she doesn't want that then I still want to be her friend."
He felt like he was ranting and thought he must sound crazy. What he was feeling was crazy he thought. There shouldn't be this many feelings tearing him up on the inside. "Do you have any advice? Anything would be helpful at this point."

A'lan listened attentively and as Ahaz began to reveal his troubles, a warm smile steadily grew on his face. He waited from him to finish before speaking.
"It's like a tug, right? One you get when they are near you?" He straightened up his body, getting a bit more serious, but still open. He meet Ahaz's eyes, smile still in place. "It sounds to me like you would like to have this next step take place, but you are unsure of how it would affect your dynamic with Atino. The reaction she had to your confession seems to have a positive meaning, but there is really only one way to find out for sure." His smile turned fond "Have you tried asking her what it means?"

Ahaz felt warmth in his chest when A'lan describe how it felt. He nodded his head, glad there was someone who understood. "I've wanted to talk to her, but I keep avoiding her. Whenever I see her, my head gets clouded with thoughts. I don't know which thought to listen to and I don't want to make a fool of myself around her. I want her to see me as I am, not some idiot who can't form a simple sentence around her." He let out a sigh.
"While I am avoiding her, she is also avoiding me. I saw her, for a split second. I was tempted to see go talk to her, but she hurried away from me." He explained. "I don't want to have to chase her to get her to listen to me. Do you think I should just wait till she comes to me to talk?"

"I highly doubt that she thinks you a fool Ahazutako. What I am guessing is that she is just as flustered as you are. Love is a powerful emotion and that is why you must also pay close attention to it." The look he gave was serious, but not accusing "It can be dangerous if left unchecked. We don't condemn love, only teach caution." He chuckled "It can be either a heavy weight, or seem as natural as breathing. It varies for everyone. Though it seems to me that you have the right idea. Don't force her to confront her feelings, that will only put her out balance. I have a feeling that she will talk to you when she is ready."

The more A'lan talked, the more sure Ahaz was that he was right. He just needed to wait for her to be ready to talk about her feelings. Until she was ready he would do his best to be a good friend to her. He would wait as long as it took for her to figure out her feelings. “Thank you for your help A'lan. Would it be okay if I talk to you again? I don't always understand the emotions I have. I think it would help to have someone to talk to about it. You really helped me with this, I think you could help me with my other problems.”
He gave a weak smile to the council member. “I wouldn't bother you when you were busy or anything like that. Only when you have some free time.” Ahaz said with a nod. “And I can listen to your problems to, not that you have problems. But if you need to talk I will be available.”

A'lan gave a warm chuckle at Ahaz's gratitude. "I'd be happy to lend an ear to your troubles Ahazutako, when you have need of one!" He knew in his heart that Ahaz and Atino would work the feeling between them out, and something told him it would be for the better.
He gave the Guardian an encouraging smile "As long as I am not in Council meetings nor on a mission I am usually available! Though you may have to wrestle Drox for some of that time!" He laughed.
He grew contemplative and serious when the cheetah voiced his thoughts on A'lan's 'lack' of problems. "Ahazutako, one of the many things Peace Keepers learn on their travels, is that those who seem to have no troubles, tend to be the ones that have the deepest." He broke the mood with a smile "Thank you for the offer Ahazutako, it means quite a lot."
