Quote:
[~Spazzy_the_Wolfie~] Toa Meno: The Prince / The Oldest Child
Toa Meno has never really been too fond of being a ruler, rather liking the idea of just hanging back and allowing others to do those sorts of things. But, because he was born into the role, he forced himself to settle for it. He was always being trained and molded into a proper prince, even as a kit, so he never really got to spend quality time with his mother or either of his sisters. Or his mate... Or, uh, anyone. His time was always spent with his father, and even then, that wasn't fun. Appearance-wise, he takes after his mother.

Toa Meno grew up into a quiet type of guy, the kind of fox you'd find beside a ruler, not actually running things. He'd rather have others run things and make the decisions, rather than himself. Toa Meno's rather lazy when it comes to most things. However, when it comes to his sisters, his mate, and people questioning his authority, he won't hesitate to claw someone's face off. When he feels like it, he can be rather... charming. Before the tribe's downfall, he could often be found persuading and flattering other foxes, in order to get some help while evading his father and avoiding doing work that day. While not fond of being a ruler and the work that comes with it, he likes having a position above everyone else. Nudge him along and he'll be a kind lazy and coolheaded lazy ruler.

He has no idea that his sisters are alive! :c

...He also has a theme song.

What has he been doing all this time?: Hiding out in the swamps with his mate like an idiot.

Quote:
[chenabby] Kausha: The Prince's Mate
Kausha was born in a neighboring tribe. It was pacifistic and small - and Kausha had the misfortune of being born to the Elder. While she should've had a position of nobility, of grace - someone to be respected and never questioned - she instead was shifted to another tribe, a growing tribe, with whom her small tribe had premonitions of violence to come. Kausha was, in essence, an olive branch. She was sold to the Elder, his son, to create peace between the two in hopes that one day they would protect Kausha's smaller home tribe.

The girl expected quite a few things out of her mate. She did not expect Toa Meno.

What has she been doing all this time?: Hanging out with her stupidface of a mate in the swamps.

Quote:
[Katachii] Enzi: The Middle Child
Enzi has all the characteristics of a good leader; she's intelligent and clever, driven to succeed, and can think objectively about decisions. She's able to weigh the consequences of decisions relatively quickly, and is—usually, anyway—correct in her judgment. She's able to move in the political world, but doesn't have much in the way of ability to maintain personal relationships. Her need to prove herself has driven off any potential mates; it's a good thing her parents never had time to sell her off to another tribe's heir for alliance purposes, because she would have made the male miserable. She's recently become lonely though, and will try to work to make connections again.

Enzi is also currently incredibly bitter, however. She lived her whole life seen as worthless to her father because she wasn't male, even though Enzi is pretty damn sure she could have done a better job than her brother currently is, thanks. She resents her father for his sexist attitude and her mother for allowing it, and probably didn't really care when they died. The only one she thinks she'd currently care about losing is her little sister, who she protected as much as she could. Deep down though, Enzi knows she values her brother too, and she will eventually come to stop resenting him as an extension of her father.

What has she been doing all this time?: Enzi, in her opinion, has more sense than God gave a rock unlike the rest of her family, and didn't join in the attempt to take over the other tribe. Instead she stayed home to help manage the tribe affairs. In the chaos following the failed attempt, Enzi took her younger sister and fled too, but not to the swamps like her brother. Enzi kept running and was eventually separated from her sister. For a long time she stayed in the outskirts of a desert far away from the ruins of the tribe, unwilling to see what had become of her home and attempting to start her own life away from the customs she had hated in the old tribe. Recently though, she's run out of decent game to hunt and is starting to hate the isolation she's lived in for years, and has decided to return to the wetlands to look for her family, and for food.

Quote:
[NPC] Yai Viza: The Dead Elder / The Father
Yai Viza was actually a pretty calm and collected fox, before his tribe began to grow. After that? Forget it. He grew extremely greedy with his newfound power as an to-be Elder. Toa Meno and his sisters were born after the tribe had started to grow, so the only side of their father they ever saw was the corrupted one. He didn't take any interest in his two daughters, leaving them for their mother to deal with. Toa Meno, though? Yai Viza would work for hours with him, trying to train and work his son into the perfect heir. He.. definitely wasn't the best of fathers.

What has he been doing all this time?: He died leading the attempted takeover with his mate and the others whoops.

Quote:
[NPC] Eusi Ua: The Dead Queen / The Mother
Eusi Ua was a good mother to the three kids, as doting and loving as any other mother you'd find. The fact that she was the queen did go to her head every once in a while, with little things like being pampered and her role above the others in the tribe, but she always managed to come to her senses, unlike her mate.

What has she been doing all this time?: She died during the attempted takeover with her mate and the others whoops.

THE STORY

Toa Meno was a prince, next in line to lead his father's tribe. He was only son of his father, and because of that, he was immediately declared the heir of his father's tribe. His father wasn't too fond of the idea of a female taking his place, so Toa Meno would have to do. So! Being a prince, Toa Meno was betrothed at a young age. He and his two younger sisters were pampered, their mother was treated like a proper queen, the fledgling tribe was doing well and surviving, thriving even, and life was pretty good.

Notice how I said "was" at the very beginning? Well, uh, Toa Meno's father, Yai Viza, kind of screwed up. Big time. He managed to get a bit too greedy. Being a to-be Elder, having a growing tribe, and already having an heir to take his place? All of it went to his head. Sure, he had all of that.. But he wanted more. So much more. Soon after his children grew into adults, Yai Viza tried to take over one of the neighboring tribes, in order to gain more territory and make himself known. The plan was completely slapped together and rushed, resulting in the to-be Elder, most of Toa Meno's family, and the majority of foxes in the young tribe being taken down by the other tribe. The ones that survived? They fled. With only a few members left surviving back home, and with no Elder to lead them, the tribe quickly fell apart.

Unable to handle all of it, a young Toa Meno took his mate.. betrothed... whatever the hell she is and fled to the nearby swamplands.

Basically, Toa Meno is a horrible ruler who needs his a** kicked back into shape by his sisters and mate!

SO, BASICALLY:
It's been a few years since the tribe fell apart.

Toa Meno and his mate, Kausha, are still living in the swamplands near the deserted tribe. Kausha pretty much hates his stupid face right now, this is not the honeymoon she wanted.

Toa Meno has not, and will not, go back to the tribe's ruins... Without someone telling him to. Someone needs to knock some sense into him or, uh, he's just going to bum around the swamps forever. We decided that this someone is going to be Enzi!

Once the family meets up, we're probably going to come up with a concept for a new tribe for Toa Meno to lead. Toa would be the Elder, but his mate and sisters would be his right-hands. Any and all decisions would be discussed with the them before they happened. Their thoughts and opinions come before anything else. <3

They all look scary and vicious as hell, but they really aren't too mean or anything like that. OKAY, MAYBE ENZI... c:

THE PROMPT

Your older brother, Toa Meno, left the tribelands with his mate a few years ago, almost immediately after the news of your father's downfall. After becoming separated from Enzi, where on earth have you been all this time? How do you feel about the tribe's demise? And what was your relationship with your mother, father, sister, and brother like? How did you view them? Lastly, how have you been handling all of this? [The downfall of the tribe, your parent's deaths, your brother leaving, no longer having anyone to pamper and attend to you, etc.]

*Note: Appearance-wise, she takes after her father.

Fox's Name: Zena
Fox's Mood: Pure

Personality: Zena is very innocent. She had been too young and uninterested to worry about her family's tribal politics, and couldn't care less about the power that came with it. She had always been very proper and courteous, the way a true young princess should act. Of course, this was before the fall of the tribe, and before she knew any harsher standards of living.

What has she been doing all this time?: Zena spent most of the years since traveling with other foxes, since she had no idea how to return to her siblings, where ever they were.

Prompt Reply: Zena had fled willingly with Enzi after the fall of the tribe, and they went quite a distance together before they were accidentally separated. She found herself alone in a forest clearing one morning, awaiting Enzi's return. After a week or so, it was clear Zena was alone. Unable to fend for herself, Zena wandered around in search of any other friendly foxes around that might be kind enough to help her. She found an elderly, nomadic couple who were kind enough to teach her how to hunt, fish, and adapt to new lands. Ever-dependent on others, Zena lived and traveled with them for the majority of the years away from her brother, before finally parting with them and settling down on her own in a nice forest.

Not a day went by when Zena didn't think about her family. Everything had been ripped away from her so suddenly. Her family, her friends, the familiar tribe lands, the leisure and luxury that came with being the youngest princess, the only child of the Elder who actually looked like him, spoiled and loved by every other member of the tribe... Since then she had learned to live independently, but she still missed her family more than anything. Zena recalled Enzi stealing her away from all of her comforts that night, whispering something of a dispute and a death. At the time, the words didn't make any sense to her. Afterwards, when they finally had a chance to rest, Zena was devastated. Enzi made it clear to her the fate of her parents, both of whom Zena had loved unconditionally since birth, despite her father's inattentiveness. She was very glad to hear that Toa Mena and his mate were still alive; Enzi was sure they had fled, but seemed to have no intention of finding them at the time. And then she lost Enzi, too.

Zena couldn't cope with this loss, either. Her last companion, the last shred of her former life, and most importantly her beloved sister, was gone to her, probably forever. For a while there, Zena simply gave up. She had no idea how to hunt or fish, or survive on her own. Everything had always been handed to her and no one had ever thought that things could change, and certainly not to this drastic of an extent.

Zena put an end to her reminiscing. Most of the time she thought it best not to dwell on the past, to think too much on who and what she lost that night. This time, however, she was determined to find it all again. Every so often Zena would resolutely decide to leave this comfortable place, explore the swamp lands and find Toa Mena and Kausha. Hopefully, if they were still where Enzi said they went, she could find them with ease. She needed to start somewhere, after all, and she had no idea where Enzi had run off to. Zena wondered what Toa Mena would say if she found him, and then wondered how she would respond. Would the couple welcome her to live with them, or would they find her presence a nuisance? Perhaps Enzi had gone back already to find them? The thoughts persisted. Most of the time, Zena got so caught up in these hypothetical questions that she would eventually second-guess her decision to leave. This time, however, she refused to psych herself out like this.

Zena needed her siblings, and she believed they had a right to know that she had survived that fateful night. Now that she had the power and capability to find one of them, it was her responsibility to try.

Fox's Name: Masozi
Fox's Mood: Calculating

Personality: Masozi is a passive observer to the world. She is able to separate herself from her emotions so that everything she notices and any conclusions she makes are done without bias. She will readily give her opinion if it is asked for but otherwise keeps her observations to herself. Her quiet demeanor and lack of response might lead others to believe she is apathetic, but this is false; Masozi feels quite strongly about a lot of things, but emotions have no place in politics and politics are how she was raised. She is cynical when it comes to love and doubts she’ll ever find anyone she’d want to give her heart to, but tries to keep an open mind.

Masozi has mixed feelings about her family. She thought about her father as often as he thought about her. She loved her mother, but questioned her judgment in mates. For Toa Meno she feels a mixture of contempt and pity, pity for being forced into a role he wasn’t suited for and contempt that he didn’t want to accept the responsibility because it didn’t come in the form he wanted. She has respect for Kausha, even likes the vixen, and hopes she’ll be able to get Toa Meno off his lazy butt and make him into a good, proper leader. She adores and respects Enzi more than anyone else in the family; as a kit she was always following her sister, trying to emulate her, and as an adult she looked to her sister as a herald of good sense and sound judgment.

What has she been doing all this time?: When she got separated from Enzi her first instinct was to wait in that area for Enzi to find her. Then logic kicked in (it was too dangerous to stay and there was no guarantee Enzi would be able to come back to find her), and she got away from tribe grounds. She's been traveling ever since, visiting a wide variety of places and learning a lot. Now enough time has passed that Masozi feels it's time to return to her old home to see if anything or anyone remains.

Prompt Reply: Masozi crested the mountain she’d been climbing. Before her was a steep descent, sure to be tricky. She decided to sit and rest for a while before she started the climb down. At first she was distracted with thoughts of how good the wind felt against her fur and the coolness of drying sweat, then reviewing the journey she had taken so far and how much there was left to go. But no matter which way her thoughts were going now, as always they circled around until they returned to her past.

Masozi honestly wasn’t all that broken up about the tribe. She would admit that, at first, she’d missed the pampered life-style and having people to tend to her every whim, but after being separated from Enzi and days turned to weeks turned to months, she’d found a kind of fierce pride and pleasure in being able to care for herself.

It was the same when she’d first learned about the death of her parents. After the initial shock she found the hurt really wasn’t as strong as she’d thought it would be. She tried not to speak ill of the dead, but being honest about it her father had given her so little attention in life that his being dead didn’t much change anything. It had been her mother she truly grieved for; though as time passed and her mourning lessened she found it was tainted with bitterness at her mother’s reckless stupidity to follow her father in his ill-conceived plans.

Masozi sighed softly. She’d been gone for a long time, traveling and trying to pick up Enzi’s trail, but with no luck. It wouldn’t have been hard, people tended to remember her family for their unusual looks. As time went by Masozi had had to admit that Enzi must never been this way, and started a journey back to the old tribe grounds. Perhaps Enzi had also returned after the conflict had finally died away, and in any case it would be a place to start. There was a swamp nearby that she also could have vanished into to hide. And when Masozi thought on it, there had been no word of Toa Meno or Kausha. Perhaps they were there too?

She sighed again and stood, stretching her legs to test for stiff or weak muscles. There was only one way to get the answers to her questions, so she'd better get moving. Before she started her descent she glanced at the horizon one last time. She fancied she could see a smudge of swampland green and brown off in the distance.

Fox's Name: Abla (Means woman with a full figure, also can't help but notice her eyes are different than the others, full green instead of green and black giving a glow effect like the others.)
Fox's Mood: Confident.

Personality: Always outgoing and not afraid to take risks she know what she likes and what she doesn't like. Not much can scare her but she accepts that she had fears and those fears are a perfectly natural thing steering her away from angers, she takes risk but is not foolish, there is a point where risk-taking turns into stupidity and normally she didn't pass that point. Though yes she had allowed her sister to take the lead in most things it was only because she had no desire to actually try and run an entire tribe, she liked the freedom of being a younger sibling and she enjoyed it immensely.

What has she been doing all this time?: She lived with the family enjoying the life of a non-responsible sibling but when things did start to fall apart she was trying to help her sister best she could but of course when her sister had to run she followed for support. Their parents loss did sadden her deeply but she had not been given time to grieve, everything was happening so fast and her entire world had fallen apart around her... Her precious father was gone, her mother.. gone... her brother and his Mate 'missing' and now she had lost track of her sister, they had gotten split up by accident and in all the chaos she had to seek a place to hide not knowing she was heading the wrong way, away from her siblings.

Prompt Reply:Finding herself in a mossy cave to shield herself from the Elements the Green haired fox looked to a rock on the ground, thinking about everything that had happened recently... She went from being a happy, playful, carefree younger sister to being stuck in a cave alone, listening to the gusting wind and pouring rain outside. Sighing to herself she pawed at the rock looking towards the mouth of the cave "where.. is everyone?" she knew no-one would be out in this type of weather to look for her, she had to remain safe, yet how would anyone find her? Her mind was racing, what if no-one came looking? Entering a restless sleep she finally awoke to a chilly but clear night. Venturing out of the cave that had served to keep her dry she looked around, that was it, she would find them herself, looking left then right she had no idea where anyone was but deciding to finally head to her left she was determined, she would find one of her siblings come Hell or high water. Her former life of Luxury was gone, her parents.. gone... Seemed it was time to grow up and be an adult, like it or not she would have to find what remained of her family herself. She was hungry, cold, alone and she didn't like it... Strange sounds did scare her little by little as she travelled. She was no longer warm and safe with her Tribe, free to play and eat when she wished. Her stomach growled as she walked but she ignored it, maybe she should have learned to hunt after all, she had always took for granted 'I'll learn later' boy did she regret ever using that as an excuse to dodge the lessons for fun...

Stopping at a stream for water she was drinking as fish swam by, they were mocking her, so close and yet so far, she didn't have a clue how to pluck a fish out of the water but had always been told it was difficult, the hardest thing to do. They seemed in range though as she stopped drinking "How hard can this be?" her paw dashed into the water, missing the fish and scattering them... Alright, paws were NOT the way to go... Waiting as the fish began to swim normally again she dunked her whole head in, snapping at nothing but water. From the surface they seemed right where her head was but once down there they were at the side of her head? That was it, what it meant by they are not where they appear look to the side of where they are and strike. She thought that was dumb but now it may just save her life remembering the one thing she scoffed at all this time. Tilting her head she watched the fish moving about, fish seemed so stupid, coming back to an area they had been attacked twice, but they couldn't remember, fish had short memories. Waiting until they became idle again she dunked once more to the side of where she saw the fish, snapping down.

Success! Pulling out a Fish was impaled on her fangs but was still flapping about in her mouth, the flailing was violent and this fish was actually very strong, it's tail hit her nose just right and she yelped, slipping from her mouth a thrash later, there went her meal. Looking to the water as her former catch had gotten away she let off a whine, soft at first, very pitiful like that of a Kit... Eventually tears formed in her eyes, it wasn't just the fish... She had lost everything and finally had a moment for it all to sink in, she hadn't grieved over her Parents and it was catching up to her. Finally letting off a howl all the pain travelled through the air far and wide as tears streamed down her face, she had to find the others... She couldn't bare to die out here... alone.

Fox's Name: Tatu
Fox's Mood: Blunt

Personality: Tatu admires strong, independent women, and always has. She's a blunt vixen, perhaps overly blunt. She doesn't really understand that some things should not be said, and doesn't really understand why others become so emotional over words. Yet, she has a compassionate touch to her. While she can come off as a major b***h for how blunt she is, she cares for kits and her family, or what's left of it. She'd do anything for her family, and will claw your eyes out if you lay a finger on a kit.

She hates being pampered, snarling at anyones attempts to baby her. She doesn't mind brief affections, and her siblings can get away with more than others, but she doesn't appreciate being babied, and she sure as hell won't baby you. She see's it as a sign of mockery, as if she is considered too weak to be treated like an adult, and will make you regret your decisions.

She's very stubborn. She doesn't step down from what she believes in, though sometimes her siblings can get compromises from her. While she doesn't have much she's stubborn over, when she finds something worth fighting for, well, she'll do just that. Fight for it. She also has a knack for finding loopholes in things, slyly slipping past anything just because she can. When her brother becomes Elder she will point out the loopholes in his rules, because she loves him.

Though very quiet and at times can be rather blunt, she has a motherly side. She cares for the injured and kits on her free time. She's the one to smack you on top of the head for being an idiot and point you in the right direction. While she herself cannot stop making stupid choices, she is the vixen to go to for advice. Oh, she can't take her own for s**t, but she'll help you out. She's a tough mother figure, but she cares, showing it in a less affectionate way than you probably would expect. Sometimes, you may get lucky and she'll lean against you.

She has a horrible, horrible habit of listening to gossip. God, she LOVES gossip. She will never spread it, though, and keep your secrets, but dammit, she needs to know the juicy s**t, and now! The only people she'd tell your secrets to are Enzi and Toa Meno, and that's only if they need to know.

What has she been doing all this time?: Well. In the beginning, she was with Enzi, because her sister was sweet enough to take her away from all the drama. However, they were separated. Tatu was still young at this time and was taken in by a vixen named Evangeline, mostly because Eva found the vixen amusing at the time and needed something to do. For a few years the two lived together, strictly friends, until the day Tatu decided that she was ready to live on her own, so, she did.

Even though her living on her own was belated, she managed to get by just fine, thanks to Enzi and Eva's influences on her. Still, she was lonely, though she wasn't about to go and find random company. Somewhere along the line, she heard gossip of a woman with strange eyes during one of her hunts. Perhaps this was her chance to finally see Enzi again? Without thinking twice, she left her little home by the mountains and headed to investigate.

Prompt Reply: 'Do not turn around.'

She still remembered Enzi's last words to her. She should have listened, yet that nagging voice that lurked in the back of her head whispered and nagged until she had foolishly glanced behind her shoulder. That was all it took for her sister to vanish, and all it took for her to realize the consequence of her choice.

She could have lived her life with the one person she admired the most, but her stupidity had led her in the other direction. As a child, she had always dreamed of running off with Enzi, just her and her big sister. Tatu had grown up feeling out of tune with her parents. Her father was clearly not right in the mind, for the sexist male should have clearly picked Enzi to be Elder due to her superior intellect and reasoning, and yet he had chosen his only son. Tatu, similar to her sister, was disgusted by her fathers sexism.

Actually, she basically despised her father. His greed fueled her negative view of him, and when he perished she was relieved. He had never shown care towards her or Enzi, though this was not what left a bitter taste in her mouth. He was an evil man, in her eyes, and was weak, obsessed with power and greed and relying on it, eventually causing his own downfall. His sexism was just the cherry on top. His death would have been met with joy, had not the tribe fallen and she lost Enzi.

Her mother was met with a different attitude. She was a loving mother, and while Tatu naturally leaned away from the overly affectionate type her mother was simply met with childish groans of protest. Eusi Ua was a good mother, even Tatu knew that. She was the only vixen Tatu acted like a child around when she was a kit. Tatu avoided her mother whenever she had a moment of relishing in being spoiled, but that fact her mother always came back to her senses relieved Tatu. Still, she was always worried that her mother would become corrupt, just like Yai Viza. When Eusi Ua died... hell. It still brought tears to her eyes. She had witnessed her mothers death, briefly, before Enzi managed to wrench her away. A woman that kind should never have had to lose her life in such a monstrous way, and it was all Yai Viza's fault. Another reason she despises her father.

Yet, despite her affection towards her mother, Tatu grew up pitying her. Eusi Ua stayed with Yai Viza, and that... disappointed Tatu. How could such a kind woman actually stand the presence of her mate? A part of Tatu viewed her mother as weak for being unable to pull away for that man, and Tatu grew up promising she'd never blindly follow someone like that. She also simply allowed the outcasting of his daughters, and seemed fine with it. No, she would not become like her.

No, Tatu wanted to be like Enzi, and always had. No, perhaps that wasn't correct. Tatu didn't want to be like anyone, she wanted to be herself. But she did view her sister as a role model. Enzi was intelligent, quick on her feet, and hell, one strong a** woman. She had no issues proving her self worth, and didn't give a damn that suitors were scared off. She was an independent black woman, and she didn't need no man. Tatu had always imagined what it'd be like to simply run away from home with Enzi. No drama. No pain. She wouldn't need to watch her parents with a sad frown anymore, simply live beside Enzi. She had always hated the pampering, always hated watching her father and mother's confusing relationship, and always loved her big sister.

Yet, this was all ruined the day her father screwed everything up.

Right after Enzi and Tatu were separated Evangeline walked into her life. The vixen had been in a strange mood the day she found a vixen half-dead in a ditch. Tatu had, in her stupidity (as always), attacked a mountain lion. How was she to know what would happened? She had lived in a tribe where these dangers never were a threat, not until her father had to go and screw it up. Eva was not the type to randomly help strangers, but that day she was feeling friendly. Taking Tatu in to patch her up, she allowed Tatu to live by her side for quite some time as long as Tatu didn't become a burden.

Eva reminded Tatu of Enzi, honestly, and this was why she stayed. Eva had a darker humour, and was more violent at times, but she didn't take anyones s**t. She was a smart woman, strong and capable of holding her own. She became almost as close as Enzi was to Tatu, and as the time went on Tatu considered simply staying beside Eva forever.

Then she realized she had never been alone before.

Disgusted that she had spent her entire life relying on others, Tatu left Eva's side to prove to herself that she could survive without others, and she did. Occupying a spot by the mountains, the vixen had been trained well by Enzi and Eva and survived just fine, perhaps even a little better than fine. Once, she heard of a male with glowing beads and strange eyes in the swamps and she almost went out to discover the source of the rumors.

But she knew who it was. Toa Meno. That name conflicted her, flickering both love and disgust inside her chest. He was lazy, she believed. Not only that, a flirt that ran off with his mate like a coward. Yet, he was her older brother, her silly brother that while he enjoyed being above others wasn't really up for putting the work in. Yes, he was lazy, and yes, he was annoying to watch when he decided to throw around his charm, but she viewed him as an annoying big brother, like most younger sisters did. They actually had a normal bond, despite how dysfunctional the family was. Unlike Enzi, she didn't despise her brother. Toa Meno could not help their fathers choices, and Tatu never blamed him for their fathers obsessions.

Yet, she also didn't want to go out seeking him. He had fled for a reason, to avoid his past life and the ruins of the tribe. She was sure he would recoil if he saw her familiar face, and even though she didn't know for sure his reaction she decided to stay home.

Then, more rumors, this time of a sighting of Enzi.

Stories of a woman with strange eyes alerted Tatu. She had been hunting and passed a group of foxes, slipping in the shadows to avoid communication. She didn't care for strangers much. They were exchanging information, and with barely a second passing Tatu rushed off. Enzi. The woman that she had looked up to for years. The woman that saved her when hell, it would have been so much easier to just run on her. Did she miss Tatu? Did she regret not turning back to see if she was there? Hell, it didn't matter. She was going to find Enzi.

And so, she set out to find her sister, and perhaps try and repair her small, broken little family.

Fox's Name: Aida Nia= "Returning radiance"
Fox's Mood: Shaded

Personality: Aida Nia is a wallflower, or at least that’s how she would appear. She is quite and listens carefully to all those around her. She keeps her head down not being as brash as her sister Enzi. She’s also not afraid of hard work like her brother. If anything she’s a peacemaker between the two willing to help her brother and trying to calm down her sister if things go too far. She is a caring loving soul like her mother was but having been ignored by her father much of her life she does seem to automatically assume that males have some roles in life while females have others. (her sister Enzi always had more sense than that.)

What has she been doing all this time?: She has been running for far too long. She had been with her mother during the time of the tribe’s collapse and unfortunately witnessed her mother’s death. Enzi came and took her from the conflict while the fighting raged on around them. She was separated from Enzi when Aida slid down an embankment and had to keep running for her life when she found more fighting down there. For a time she didn’t even know where she was only focusing on surviving. She has the last image of her sister standing at the top of the embankment with a fox leaping in at air at Enzi. She doesn’t know if her sister survived or died. Now she finds herself back home after being gone so long and it disturbs her to be here.

Prompt Reply: Reply to the prompt.
Enzi had saved her life not that it mattered much anymore. Enzi was probably dead like everyone else must be. She missed Enzi and her mother the most. Her father had spent all his time with Toa Meno so Aida rarely saw them anyway. Hearing that her brother had just abandoned them had been a scary thing her. Not having servants anymore to wait on her made the pampered princess life change drastically. While she had never truly realized it when her parents were alive Aida had relied on her tribe for everything. She had some basic skills since her mother had the common sense to teach her some things and Enzi who Aida played with was actually a male in a female’s body, at least that’s how it seemed to Aida. She could still see a fox leaping at her sister’s throat while she was sliding down into a ditch. The memory always caused a shudder. Her sister was so strong perhaps even stronger than their father but not even she could have survived the mess of that conflict. Aida wasn’t even certain how she survived herself. She remembered running down the ditch line away from attacking foxes and then hoping out and trying to find somewhere anywhere to hide. She found a log to hide in and stayed there until the fighting faded from her hearing, longer until she couldn’t even see in the darkness outside. Stumbling out she ran blindly into the night not know or caring where she ended up as long as she was away from this slaughter.

Waking the next day she had no idea where she was all she knew was that she was sore miserable and alone. She simply lay in the dirt and cried for the longest time. Eventually her stomach roused her from her melancholy. As it gurgled she realized she didn’t want to die. Her first attempts at solo hunting were laughable; before she had always had an attendant or two with her who would run the animal down and then let her make the kill. With no one to wait on her and help her Aida came close to starving for the first month on her one barely eating enough to suite her hunger. Living while only focusing on eating, sleeping, drinking left her hollow but breathing. Of course as life tends to move on the pain lessens and memories come back. There were many nights were Aida woke in tears and screams. Her wandering eventually lead her back toward the ruins of her old home. She didn’t even realize where she was until she found herself looking into the ditch were she had last seen her sister. It was strange standing on the edge of the ditch she could remember the image of her sister and could almost swear that was her scent in the wind. Still memories play tricks on the mind and all that was left here were bones, weren’t there?

Fox's Name: Aza Faraj (or just Aza if big brother and the parents are the only ones who get two names)
Fox's Mood: Realistic

Personality: Aza was the baby of the family; naturally, this meant she got more than a little spoiled. She was the princess, the one who could do no wrong. When everything went sideways, this changed, especially after Enzi became her primary caregiver: she came to expect less and appreciate what she already had. Although her big sister protected her, Enzi wasn't exactly the spoiling type, so that aspect of her personality has been significantly toned down. Due to all the terrible things that have happened to her and her family, Aza is realistic to a fault, almost bordering on cynical--she may have picked up some mild abandonment issues during this time--but she still tries to remain optimistic, because if she didn't, she'd just be miserable.

What has she been doing all this time?: Aza was with her mother when the tribe fell; the battle itself was for the males, but it was she and her mother who saw the first straggler survivors retreating, running back home with legions of enemy foxes at their tails. Aza remembers, vividly, running to her mother and explaining what she saw.

It was enough. Eusi took her daughters and tried to flee, but in the end it was Enzi and Aza who remained, exhausted, confused and--for Aza at least--more than a little terrified. Enzi wouldn't let them stop though, not even to nap or catch a bite to eat, it was too dangerous she said, they had to keep moving. They ran as fast and as far as they could, but Enzi was bigger, stronger, tougher than Aza--she fell behind and eventually lost sight of her big sister somewhere between the forest and the desert.

Aza learned to take care of herself.

Prompt Reply: After Enzi left her in the dust, Aza had to learn to take care of herself--it was that or die, and that simply wasn't an option for the youngest child of what should have been the greatest tribe in the world. So she figured out how to hunt well enough to live, where water was in the same forest she had lost Enzi in and how to come to terms with what had happened.

Everyone she loved was dead--probably. Maybe not Enzi, but she didn't like to think about her sister--it made her too sad. Tao Meno had probably died in the first two days away from home; even though Aza had been much younger than he, she knew he was essentially useless. That didn't mean she didn't love him, though; she tried not think about either of her siblings more than she could help, because when she did her stomach went cold and the most horrific images flashed behind her eyes.

Aza missed her mother, too. Yes, Enzi had often railed against her for catering to their father, but Aza had really been too young to understand why it mattered; her mama took care of her, smoothed her fur and kept her safe. Her father...well, Aza wasn't exactly a 'Daddy's girl', but that was more by her father's choice than hers. Even from a young age, she got the impression that Yai Viza didn't like her very much--or at least not as much as Tao. She was too young to resent him for it, but old enough that she definitely mourned her mother longer than her father.

Aza misses the tribe, in a way. Rather, she misses how it felt before her father went mad with power--or whatever Enzi said happened to him. She misses the closeness, the family. Her family. Some days she considers the idea of joining a tribe, just any old tribe, but she knows in her heart that no other tribe would compare to her tribe, for better or for worse. Some days, she wrestles with the idea of trying to restart it herself, but she knows that she's not cut out for that--if any of them were, it would've been Enzi.

Most days, she just wants to find her big sister. Most days, she gets a little closer to convincing herself to leave her 'home' and track down her family. One day, one day soon, she's actually going to do it. She's going to find her family.

She will.

Fox's Name: Aminali
Fox's Mood: Self-centered

Personality: Aminali grew up nearly free of responsiblity. Her older brother was always busy learning to lead in their fathers footsteps, and her older sister was always one step behind them, always trying to show off how much better she would be than Toa Meno (although their father would never admit to it). This left little Aminali lots of free time to spend playing with their mother and looking down to the other members of the tribe. She never learned how to fend for herself because there was always someone (usually Enzi) else to do that for her.

What has she been doing all this time?: After she got separated from Enzi, She wondered around in a daze until she returned to the ruins of her families tribe.

Prompt Reply: It was ridiculous, that's what it was. How could they do this to me? Enzi especially. That kind of behavior was almost expected from Father and Mother. Father loved power more than he loved his family, that was obvious, so it came as no surprise that he left to over take that other tribe and left them forever. Of course Mother went with him, she always had to be there for him. But she should have stayed. Mother was supposed to love me too! How could she leave me and not return? Oh and lets not forget Toa Meno who took that underling from that lesser tribe his mate and fled leaving his real family behind. What a coward. Father wasted his time on him. But everyone knows that.

Enzi was the only one that stayed, she was the only one that loved me. She sister even remembered to take me with her when she decided to flee. But that didn't last long. After the separation, Enzi didn't come find me again. Just left me to starve! It's been forever and neither of them have come back. Why? They should be looking out for me.

Aminali sulked around the old ruins of her home. Not much had changed since her parents died.

Other than she was alone. And dirty. And hungry. And hated what her family had done. Why had they run away anyway? Wasn't this what Enzi wanted? Toa Meno out of the way so that she could rule them? And what about Toa Meno? Didn't he want Father out of the way so that Enzi could just run everything for him? Ugh! They are so stupid for running away. The two of them are supposed to be here running this tribe. They're supposed to be taking care of me!

Aminali stamped one paw frustratedly on the ground. "That's it." She said aloud to no one. "I'm going to find those two, give them the chewing out they both deserve, and drag them back here myself! They will restart this tribe and they will give me the love I deserve!" And with that she set out on her wild goose chase to find her dumb missing siblings.
